I hadn't been to Kokkari's in a very long time, even before the pandemic. I was surprised to see the changes in the City, so you can imagine how please and excited I was that Kokkari's was how I remembered it, warm, inviting, a full bar to start our evening out. The food was excellent as I remembered. Our meal and experience surpassed my expectations, especially considering what a ghost town San Francisco has become.

I love everything here from the crackling fire rotisserie to the wine selection to excellent and fresh Greek cuisine, caring wait staff and the Greek coffee!

Always a pleasure coming here, and particularly more so after such a long strange year. It was great to see people out having a normal good time. All the food and service were as good as ever.

It is pretty expensive, but if you are concerned about the price note that the entrée portions are generous. Two people can easily split most of them (maybe not the lamb chops, but definitely just about everything else). Get some of the delicious appetizers and vegetables and you have meal that is very reasonably priced. Or simply go for it and be fed like a king and queen.

Both the food and staff are excellent! We have missed Kokkari and it was wonderful to be back with them for our first inside lunch in over a year. It was a special occasion for us in many ways (we have a long standing tradition of doing celebratory lunches at Kokkari around every holiday and special occasion) and the food, staff and ambience made it perfect. I highly recommend it.

Oh how I missed being there. So glad to be back and dining indoors. I couldn’t wait to have the smelts, one of the few places to get them. Had the fish, delicious, dessert was yummy as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Because this has been a very popular restaurant in recent years, we felt lucky to get in even for lunch.
Moussaka & Octopus Salad were delicious & the server was attentive & friendly. The indoor ambiance during the day was as good as at night. Because of the limited capacity, the noise level was non issue.
As long as we’re able to make a reservation without difficulty, we’d be coming back here more often. Once the pandemics becomes under control, I’m sure it’d be a challenge to get a table, though.

Food is always great. Wasn't as lively as normal since we were there for a mid-week lunch and with the minimal seating covid rules, but the service and food was on point. Love Kokkari.

Well it was weird. I was there with a date for my birthday. We clearly were dressed up as a couple. We were given a table in the hallway to the dining room in the back. We were listening to the clanging of the glasses and silverware because there was the workers station. We we seated with large parties around us. The gentleman who checked us in did little if any to observe us as a couple and put us in a huge table by the station and large parties. I was very disappointed. He should had noticed that and did a better job. This was the 28th of March at 730 p.m. I wasn't impressed with him at all.

Kokkari has been my favorite restaurant for over ten years now. I was happy to be able to make a reservation once the restaurant cold start operating and taking guests in.

We ordered our usual favorites : grilled octopus and the spreads as an appetizer. The portions have turned significantly smaller (like half what they used to serve). It was the first time in 10 years that our waitress had to write down the orders and did not make any wine parings or mentioned the daily special... It was a completely different experience from the ones we always enjoyed so much. Plus, now the restaurant is now charging 20% the total bill... I am hoping we get a better experience and more food next time .

This is my second time at Kokkari. Food and service were amazing as always. For our main course, we had the sea bass and rib eye. This is probably the best rib eye in the city. I’m not usually a cooked fish person (particularly whole fish), BUT this sea bass blew me away. It was amazing! James D was our server. He was amazing! Great, smooth service and very personable.

good food, service and ambiance however being a Greek restaurant and being March 25, Greek Independence Day celebrating the BiCentennial, I expected some form of celebration..... also some Greek Music.

Kokkari always delivers. Was great to enjoy a meal indoors. Staff is professional, courteous, and very conscious of safety.

We had a lovely lunch at Kokkari restaurant on a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco. The dining room has such a lovely ambiance with the large windows open. We shared a perfect Greek salad, lamb meatballs, and the lamb riblets. Everything was delicious! Their lamb is some of the best I've ever had! Our dessert was a yogurt ice cream with fruit granita that was outstanding!

Great food, cannot wait to come back and taste their quality dishes again!

Great to be back "inside" Kokkari. They haven't lost a step. Nothing was cooking in the fireplace, but we were distanced. There were partitions. The service was very good and the food was still excellent. I hear the new strawberry salad is "bomb."

My boyfriend and I were so happy to be able to come back and enjoy an amazing meal in our favorite city. We absolutely love Kokkari and all that is has to offer. Our experience was nothing short of amazing and delicious! We cannot wait to come back.

Our server was very stoic and not friendly. Came off a bit rude at first. Food was good but how amazing I remember it from 2 years ago.

The food was outstanding and I REALLY recommend the rice pudding for dessert. Also great selection of wine and very fine environment.

Kokkari is an amazing restaurant if you have the $ to afford fine-dining. It’s a classy interior with multiple wood-beamed high-ceiling dining rooms that reminds me of a large home. All the dishes are amazing including steak, chicken, etc but they are famously known for their lamb chops. So many wines and other alcohol to choose from. I definitely recommend this for a dinner date or special occasion.
