The waiter was unprofessional and didn't warn us the restaurant was out of several of the menu items until we tried to order them forcing us to quickly change our order. Everything we ate was delicious but the service was definitely sub-par.

Was very disappointed in this meal. I have been to the location in Bryant Park and this location was not the same. Went on a Saturday night for dinner and was told there were many items on the menu they were out of. Also, the waiter was not attentive and when we ordered did not listen to what we asked for (received the wrong drinks twice). For the price of the restaurant, service should have been much better.

We are looking forward to a good business dinner with colleagues from Miami, NYC, and Chicago, however our server seemed under-trained and was fairly and attentive. When we ordered for drinks, two of them came about 15 minutes later, and the other two drinks came about seven minutes after that. We often had empty sushi plates that had not been cleared and water glasses that needed to be filled. I mention something to the manager who filled our water glasses but didn't ask if we needed anything else or seem terribly concerned with any other quality issues we had. At one point we noticed that he and two of the servers were standing up at the bar chatting when there were tables looking for attention. The sushi quality and presentation was good however it's doubtful we would consider going back.

We were taken to a table next to a cash register when there were many other nice tables. The maitre d was unfriendly. Koi in LA was much better

The creamy sea bass tempura and the short ribs... both beyond my expectations. I woke up craving the short ribs - perfectly cooked, served in perfect slightly bigger than bite-size cubes, accompanied by delicious mushrooms. Crazy good.
Both my husband and I stopped between bites of the sea bass tempura to savor the incredible flavor. Highly recommend.
Our waitress seemed indifferent toward us. The restaurant was far from full and she was not too busy to manage her assigned tables - just not very good with customers.
Would definitely go back for the food despite the less than stellar service.

We had a delicious roll with Black Truffle. The shishito peppers were bad, drenched in sweet hoisin sauce - wouldn't order again. Overall a fun night!

Experience was nice - only problem was that each meal was brought out individually, so at one point two people sat with food and waiting for a while for me to get mine.

I come to Koi soho quite often for business lunches (in fact, I will be there again on Tuesday March 7th) and this time, I was very disappointed in the meal. The soy glazed cod, normally a favorite, was tasteless and the skin on top was covered in a soggy skin with soggy miso atop. Usually every bite of the fish tastes of the glaze but not in this meal. The bok choy, normally crisp, was soft/soggy and tasteless.

I also ordered a side of spinach and green beans and was disappointed by the green beans. Again, they seemed overcooked entirely and just soggy.

I don't usually complain but given the consistency I usually find here and the reason I keep returning, I was surprised at Friday's meal and if I didn't already have the reservation for Tuesday, I would have chosen another restaurant.

Thanks very much.

I came here for Sunday brunch during restaurant week. The food was delicious and tasty, and the portions were just right- not too much or to other little food. Oh, and the food was healthy too!

Went for NYC restaurant week. My food was fine, but my girlfriend said the sushi she ordered was too dry and was among the worse sushi she had. To provide context, we typically go to "$$" sushi places as shown on Google Maps and have had great experiences; this one is "$$$".
The service is fine until we began a long wait for desserts while the table next to us, which came later than us, got theirs. That was not so good, but otherwise the waiter was very nice.

Took my girlfriend for date night and discovered it was also part of restaurant week (double win). Service was great, staff are friendly and attentive. Food was delicious the creme brule was fantastic. Loved their old fashioned with a Japanese twist and couldn't recommend the lobster taco's more!! Will be back as there are more great looking dishes I'd love to devour!

I found that service was not consistent at all. We had one bad experience where one of our diners (we were a party of 4) was brought his main meal literally 15+ minutes before all of us and then expected him to eat it after our dinners came out. Our waitress was lovely although I think a bit overwhelmed and brought him a new meal. I'm not sure what they were thinking in there. My sushi was fresh and good - nothing to write home about at all. It wasn't our choice. I won't go again.

The sushi was made some time ago and was dreadful. We ordered three types and not one was good. The lobster tacos were very small and inedible. The eggplant was cloyingly sweet. The miso soup was okay and the cucumber was ordinary. The wagyu potstickers were tough and tasted bad. The server was so surly that I have no idea how management can continue to employ her. We ate so little of our very expensive meal that we left and went to a pizza shop two blocks away so that we had something to eat that evening.

The food was amazing! We went for a bachelorette party, and split a lot of small plates. They gave us free champagne and were very attentive. We had someone with a seafood allergy, and they made sure to tell us and the kitchen all the things she should avoid. I would definitely go back.

This place was very well placed and I am happy to say that it was perfect for a great date. the service was great though the wait staff was a bit pushy on alcohol and to clear plates. the restaurant was not packed so the idea of them turning the table was silly.

That said very good food. The raw fish was delicious and the drinks were well made. Overall the experience left a great vibe for my date and I and I recommend it as a date place.
