About Koi - Bryant Park
Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows.

Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Koi - Bryant Park Ratings and Reviews
Place is amazing. The ambience feel of it, felt good. Here’s my pros: excellent food, decor and environment was energetic, the people around made you feel good, the workers were very attentive to re-pouring your water and cleaning out the table when dishes were needed to be taken away. Cons: service was pretty slow, a lot of downtime from appetizers to entree to desert. Food price was alright being the food tasted great. Overall, 3.5. Great place to chill and relax and grab something light to eat. Not good if your in need for some food coma.
This was a Bday dinner for our daughter. She has always had allergies to sesame & nuts but found out she was allergic to soy very recently. This is one of my daughters favorite restaurants but new that this new allergy to soy may be challenging at your restaurant. I have to say our server went above & beyond to accommodate her & to make sure she was safe. The entire staff was amazing & even made a point to update my profile on open table so include all my daughters allergies. Thank you so much for everything & making us feel so comfortable!
Had dinner with a girlfriend and all I can say is Koi never disappoints. I highly recommend the baked crab roll wrapped in sesame paper & oh my God! I dream about this roll! Also never forget the sticky rice spicy tuna sushi - it is a signature dish - not to be missed. We also had lobster tacos and they were a slice of heaven. Choose your poison - wonderful experience every time!
Koi used to be one of the top spots in NYC. The location is still great. However, now it feels more like one of the "fancy" chain restaurants in a suburban mall in terms of both quality of food and service. The wait staff always keep asking if you want another drink and then just grab the unfinished glass from the table without asking. The thick-as-a-tree asparagus and giant scallops may impress a tourist but the chef should know that bigger is not better. Overall, an ok-ish experience for Midtown.
Highly recommend Kio... Amazing food, modern atmosphere, perfect location (by Bryant Park) and very good service.
My wife, mother-in-law and I dined here for New Years. We started with well crafted Martinis and some Spicy Tuna Tartar on a chewy block of fried rice... Perfect. My wife and her Mom continued with a few plates of sushi, while I ordered the Peppercorn Filet Minion.
Now, I’ve been to many of the finest steakhouses all over the world so when I say this steak was good... Believe it. The steak was presented sliced into cubes surrounding the most amazing potato purée. If you like meat, you need to have this dish!
Best of all, Koi is right across from Bryant Park!
The restaurant was not busy and we had a party of 7 then added 1 for. Total of 8. Manager insisted that at party of 8 we were required to have a fix menu at $100 per person. Why? We split 4/4 and sat close to each other. If they would have accommodated, we probably would have ordered more food. Instead each person ordered one mid range item from the menu.
