Koi - Bryant Park
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.
Great food. Would return for sure.
Apart from the spicy tuna on crisped rice nothing else was particularly good. Can get much better (and less pricey) from many places in the East Village.
The portion is a little small but other than that I have no complaint. Good value for your money. Service was excellent!
Been going to Koi for many years, but will not any longer. Prices are simply offensive (example: 4 small and very oil dumplings = $28) while portion size and food quality decline. The only plates offered to guests are 3 1/2" squares, far too small to cut on, rest your utensils on or even seperate food with different tastes. so stupid. Koi exceedingly loud at lunch, and tables close together, but this is not new. Koi's owners simply want to get as much money from every diner they can, and thus its hard to feel truly like a "guest." lunch for 2, with no alcohol--just 2 small plates and 2 entrees and a coffee--$191. no more...
Our server was amazing
Second visit to this restaurant, just as good as the first experience. Double tuna is an absolute must!
Dining at Koi was a fantastic experience. We went for my girlfriend's 29th birthday and she could not have been happier. She is a big sushi fan and thoroughly enjoyed the rolls she ordered. While I do not eat fish, there were still many options for me and the short ribs were excellent and quite different from others I have had. The edamame dumplings were delicious as well as the crispy calamari salad. The service was incredibly professional and attentive. A bit pricey but it's directly across from Bryant Park so that was expected. Overall we had an amazing time and will certainly be back.
Wonderful all around!
Great restaurant recommended by foodie friends. Beautiful decor inside, sweet server. Water glasses always full.
Great people watching as we sat at a table by the front window. But you come for the food, and don’t miss this restaurant!
Our service was outstanding. But the food was not as anticipated. For the prices of the sushi, I expected to be blown away. I have had far better sushi at other places in the city for less of a price tag. You are def paying for the name of the restaurant. Nice to go once but won’t be back.
good but pricey! i went with college friends and the sushi was great but would have found it in the village for half the price!
Absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back!
Always at Koi when we are in nyc.
Excellent food and service as usual. Location is ideal as well.
Amazing food. Everything from the calamari salad to the tuna was amazing.
Best food ever in New York!
Everything at Koi is perfect!
Great place for a lunch meeting or special occasion. You'll find some standard Japanese staples, along with innovative shared plates with a modern spin. Prices are on the higher end, but the quality and freshness of the food is right in line with the prices. Portions are average and just enough. (shared 5 small plates for 2 people, and we could have done without the 5th) Some highlights are the edamame dumplings (amazing) and the crispy rice - spicy tuna and truffle avocado are both great, but we prefer the spicy tuna. Definitely would recommend!
Chris was an amazing manager the evening of our dinner. Friendly, accommodating and funny
Great people, service and atmosphere. The quality of food desired to be much better especially for the price positioning. Thank you!
$350 for lunch for 3 ppl with no alcohol. way over priced in my opinion for what you get (or don't get). Maybe when I hit lotto I'll go back
The food is incredible. The menu is not very large but what they offer is more than enough. The only downside was that the “bar” area was not very accommodating or comfortable. I would not go there to lounge at the bar. That’s not really what it is there for, though. I got the sense that the bar area was simply for “waiting” to be seated.
We had a great time. However, it is overpriced.
Great dinner! Thanks!
Food was spectacular! Everything we ordered was fresh and hit the spot. We will definitely be back when we are in NYC again.
The best part about our experience was the table service. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. The quality of the food was good, but not outstanding or terribly interesting. I didn't think the price of over $300 for 4 people was warranted. We ordered 5 appetizers, 4 sharing plates, and 3 drinks total. No dessert. As we were leaving, there was a mix-up with our coats, even though they had given us coat-check tickets. The restaurant shouldn't have had trouble keeping track of our coats. At long last, the staff member handed the coats over in a bundle, let go of them before we had them in hand, and dropped them on the floor. I'd had a nice tip in my hand for the coat check service, but after that, I didn't give it. I will not return here or recommend it.
Everything was delicious, service was great, would definitely recommend!
KOI has been my go to spot for business dinners and lunches. The other night the restaurant was like a sauna and everyone around us were also complaining. The service at KOI is usually on point but it took a long time for our waiter to take the drink order and we ended up giving our meal order at the same time. And it took forever to get the check! Nothing like having to beg to get your check while sitting in a sauna!
Great food and great service
Food was amazing and our server was top notch. She made great recommendations and we enjoyed the tacos and other starters. Did a great job checking on the table to see if we needed anything. Great spot at Bryant Park that does not disappoint.
Koi has a fun atmosphere with very attentive and kind staff. The menu had a Nobu feel, but the food was not as good. The dishes we ordered were good, but the quality did not justify the very high prices.
Love this place for every occasion. Dinner with friends dinner with clients or a date with myself
A friend and I went for dinner, without knowing much about the restaurant. Every dish we tried was delicious; our favorites were the lobster tacos and the edamame dumplings, which were more like ravioli in a succulent butter sauce. Our server was fabulously attentive. I can't eat onions, and he vetted everything that came to our table to ensure that no onions were present. Definitely will go back.
I know it’s New York but... very over priced for what you get...food was fair at best....disappointed!!!
The place is beautiful and great location. Amazing lychee martinis. The service is outstanding, but the restaurant is overpriced.
I don’t recommend this place
Our server was pushy and recommended very expensive food
It was my birthday and I didn’t get a complimentary cake. I spent over 200 and I didn’t get anything complimentary . It is not like that elsewhere that we have been
Our selections from Koi's varied menu were tasty and well prepared, and service was prompt, attentive and helpful (recommendation for main course was much appreciated). There was definitely a fair amount of background noise and tables were so close that other conversations could easily be overheard. A little on the pricey side, but Koi was a fun experience on Bryant Park.
Great evening!! Great Food !!
Lunch date with my daughter
Food was good. Expensive but you are paying for the location. Service was excellent our server was nice and attentive and they cleared the finished plates immediately. We went for my birthday as last minute option and were satisfied. The server was going to put a candle in my dessert but I didn't order any so we had a good laugh about that.
Everything was delicious. Made reservations the night before for Saturday 7 pm. Sat us right away. The fried rice spicy tuna is amazing. The cod was the best I’ve had. The martinis are great. It is pricey but worth it.
