Kobe Japanese Steak House Ratings and Reviews
Very unhappy couple!! the food was tasteless, rushed and all thrown together and we were celebrating a special occasion they sat us with a party of 14 and they were so drunk and loud ! We spent a lot of money to not be happy with the high end restaurant. we will not be returning! Disappointed ☹️
Too much salt!!
Healthy dining requires a better approach to how they can make the food taste as good with less salt especially here in the Desert where so many seniors already suffer high blood pressure etc!
Otherwise great value! Good drinks too!
I absolutely love this restaurant. I have been going to Kobe's Steak House since 1992. Food is outstanding ... And the service is great too! Even though I moved from the Coachella Valley , I still continue to make the drive from Riverside at least twice a year for my anniversary and birthday .!
Kone’s Is as good as it was 30 years ago. And that is saying something. Took our daughter there for her birthday. We were seated at exactly the time of our reservation. The chef was very entertaining. The food was exceptional! Especially the shrimp and prawns. Just had a wonderful evening. Won’t wait so long to go back!
If you like the Teppan dining experience, this one is an excellent choice. The only challenge is that it can be too loud for any decent conversation during dinner. JFood was delicious as always and very, very plentiful. This time we were seated early which was a lucky break since we tried unsuccessfully to get an earlier reservation.
Disappointing! Kobe beef - not even close. I assumed from their name that they served Kobe beef. I asked the person when we were seated if this was prime or choice beef. He said choice. The next thing that was disappointing was the bennehanna style restarant. The names indicates a quality style steak house - - - far from it. My wife said when we returned to our hotel room that it was like false advertising.
Would not recommend this eating establishment for any other than kids entertainment.
Our Chef Miguel was so much fun! He was very energetic and the food was very yummy. Desiree and Tomo at the bar was very pleasant and offered great service experience. We were spending a few days in Indian Wells and the drive to Kobe Restaurant was worthy. They have a super cute Japanese garden and water front with beautiful fishes. What a gem! Next time we go to Palm Springs area, we a definitely stopping by again! Highly recommend checking this place out!
We came on Tuesday with Reservations for my brothers birthday. The chef who cooked infront of us was excellent!! Funny, put on a great show for us. (Forgot his name) KOBES has been in the Valley for so long last time I went was over 10 years ago and its still the same. I love it! Thank you for your service. No complaints here! Will come back soon!
Great tasting food but I wasn't a fan of the dipping sauces. They have a few vegetarian options. The miso soup was delicious. I expected more vegetables but it was ok. The green tea ice cream was good also. The floors were sticky but didn't look dirty so I don't know it it was the type of shoes we had on or if they cleaned the floors wrong but my flats kept sticking to the floor as I walked. I wanted to try this place out for the food and the show, I heard the chefs gave a good show while cooking your food but that wasn't the case. The chef was nice and tried to carry on the conversation and made a few jokes but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
I ordered steak and shrimp Combo! Disappointed of the food quantity, I got 7 little cubes of steaks and three little shrimp cut into two(6 pieces)! Too little for the price we pay!!! And why did we have to ask for the hot tea? Isn't it what Kobe's known for? The Rancho Mirage front look is sooooo bad that my husband said it looks like a fisherman's backyard gone bad! The fence are falling off and the valet people put a stick to hold it up! It's ugly and defeats all the purpose of the nice scenery of the fish and water drips!!! Rancho Mirage is a high class city and it's the President s playground! Kobe's location is perfect but the staff should dress and fix their hair and makeup close to perfect! The bartender is the only perfect server and she has the best qualified attitude and social interaction! There's two hostess that doesn't know how to make customers feel welcome! I would like attention when I first walk in. We were motioned to go to the bar, like kids, because our business party isn't complete ( nice business strategy) but can the hostess be more professional ( nicer) like " you're welcome to wait in the bar if you prefer not to wait in the waiting room" . Wait, was there one? Some people don't drink and some people do still smoke! Are you equipped? One guest in our group smokes, and he feels uneasy not being able to go outside in the back, where smokers belong, and he happened to be the millionaire who spent $850.00 for eight of us.
