We like to bring our grandchildren here because they really enjoy the show and the food.
It was a good meal and resturant was fine. A noisey table in our room create a lot of distraction.
Everyone enjoyed the entire experience. My steak was overdone, but our waiter, Sergio was excellent. Our cook Hide was fun & interplayed with everyone at the table
We had a wonderful time. Everything was excellent .....
room that we were seated in was too noisy. Away from other guests was too plain. We like seeing other people . Also room seemed a little crowded.
Kobe never disappoints. The food is always quality and plentiful.
Our family favorite for over 30 years. My 3 sons have grown up going to Kobe’s, love looking at the Koi fish pond and watching their highly skillful chefs prepare their meal with finess and humor. We are happy to see they now have smaller seating options so you do not need to share a table with another party. We have never had a bad meal or sushi appitisers.
very good but too salty!
nothing else to say but than you
Not good...loud, smelly, like a poor version of Benihana
We met our friends for a night out on a quick Palm Springs Getaway. The food was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. It’s pricey, but par for the course for hibachi. The drinks are very reasonably priced. We had a great time.
Our chef Jonny was fantastic. Koi pond was cool. Our grandchildren always enjoy interaction dining.
Way overbooked, had to wait a long while after arriving on time for our reservation. We were rushed to a table, rushed to place our order, rushed during the cooking and it was over. Spent over $300, just did not want to be rushed! Waitress had no personality or could care less if we were taken care of, but it was likely not her fault. The place was way overbooked and too crowded.
Everything is delicious.
We came out for our Birthdays, our cook barely said two words to us, not fun!! People next to us didn’t talk at all, thought I was at fun place!! Said it was my friends first time, very disappointed!!!
I made the reservation for the birthday of a friend. There was another person at the table (tepan table) with a birthday. The waitress "celebrated" the other birthday with cake, etc, but when I reminded her of my friends birthday, she ignored me and did NOTHING. I was very disappointed. Even the other couple told the waitress that it was my friends birthday, still NOTHING.
They also had the grill on when we arrived and left it on until after the wait staff cleaned the table. It was VERY warm sitting there for so long with grill on.
Overall nice evening. We ordered chicken for the 3 of us, for the price chicken was grizzly & tough. Food was good except for the chicken.
My family has been coming to the Palm Springs area for almost 30 years. For the first few years we went to Ichiban and when it closed we were so happy to find Kobes. We make it a point to come to Kobes at least once during our stay and have never had a bad meal and/or experience.
Food is great nice environment and you get to meet people and have a nice conversation
This is a teppanyaki grill. Those familiar with the old Beni-hana restaurants will have a good picture of Kobe, complete with chef showmanship. Our chef, Miguel, was a very capable cook and excellent showman. The restaurant also offers sushi, sashimi, and tempura dinners which are prepared in the kitchen rather than the grill. Only one basic type of steak (New York) is offered, although filet is available at a modest upcharge. Kobe's most distinguishing feature in my opinion are its country inn architecture, replete with koi pond, and some excellent examples
Japanese pottery. Food quality is very good.
It has been years since we went to Kobes we had a reservation at 7:15 and didn't get seated until after 7:30 we had 2 children and it was my 8 year old granddaughter birthday we didn't leave until 9:30 we had a hard time getting drink refilled. I thought it was cause we were not drinking alcoholic drinks? One of the managers did provide us with tempura as we sat down for the wait which was nice however it was downhill for there. we tried to make eye contact and no luck. Sad because we had such great memories of Kobes from past visits and now its not a big deal to go there anymore. Food was great and the cook was super!
We had a 45 minute wait that I mentioned in my last review. I am more than pleased that Jamie, a manager from Kobe’s, called me and responded to my input with care. What great customer service. She was truly concerned because that is not the way they operate. I appreciate the way it was handled and can’t wait to return now. The food is delicious, and I was happy to learn that what we had experienced before was not the norm. Thank you Jamie and Kobe’s.
Love the food! Love the chef! Great place to dine with friends! We always bring our guests here to eat!
We had a great meal enjoyed our night would definitely recommend
Food was tasty. Just wish the fat on the chicken was trimmed off more. I got a few gross pieces. Loved the ambiance. We had a good time.
The valets were standing around the entrance smoking. They didn't even greet us as we walked past them. The place was very loud with lots of shouting.
Had a great time. Was very entertaining
This was a birthday dinner for my adult daughter, A dinner out with my wife and our 1 minor child. I have been to Kobe in Honolulu where Im from orignally and this was a first visit for our Ohana here in the desert where we all reside. My wife and I were not impressed our Daughter and son seemed to enjoy. An older. Fillipino looking woman came to say she was covering for our waitress and she was a bit abrrassive and had to check if calamari was avail for appetizer we ordered multiple ones but she was awkaward and came back to say yes and what she brought was overdone. She thankfully left us with good waitress. Our cook was not very good and seemed sloppy. He overcooked steak a bit and shrimp. Our bill was 340.00 and we tipped cook 40 dollars and staff 60. Again in Hawaii the chefs are trained trafitional and really have a more authentic Japanese feel. This was more like going to a Mongolian dinner the garlic spicy fried rice was terrible in my eyes greasy and mushy grains. The onion volcano was poorly excuted. Chefs used to be thourghly trianed in knife skills and all ours did was tap beat like music with knives and spatulas. He cracked eggs on back of spatulla no real trick in that. Messy presentation. I will not recommend this place and feel cheated for overall experience. The waitress we had was pleasant and they did remember to sing Happy Birthday but forgot to light candle and had to locate and redue. We overheard other groups get theirs done correctly but it was done and daughter enjoyed it. We only enjoyed poke appetizers my wife and I asked for a box to take home our entrees which was enjoyed by our older son who did not come. My wife and I felt weird to say anything and didnt want to upset our daughter who seldome eats out with us. She would have been upset if we had spoken up about this and we did not want to ruin. Teppan Chefs need to train properly no fry cooks with sloppy skills please.40$ tip was left in pitty. Pending review.
Went here for my birthday dinner. Had so much fun. The food was amazing and authenic. The whole table become a group that experienced the fun and interactive atmosphere. I highly recommend this restraunt for anyone who is celebrating a special occasion, or even just for dinner.
Everything was amazing from the Chef to the hostess!
We dine here often. Always a pleasure.
Since moving to general area 6.5 years ago we've driven by restaurant a zillion times and said to ourselves "one of these days let's eat there (we eat out all the time)". Excellent meal and friendly staff. Thank you very much. We will return.
The restruant was closed & we were not notified. The reservation was accepted, we drove there and the entire restruant was dark.
Great restaurant with great food and excellent service. The teriyaki chicken and shrimp were delicious. Try the Kobe special drink at the bar.
Great chow, awesome chef, and fast. Not sure why people cry about the noise as it’s expected given the environment. Worth the price. Lobster was mad good.
Great service fast and friendly
I loved the chef and server! I had a great dining experience! You
It was my daughters 17th birthday and my husbands 37th birthday we had a great dinner
My favorite restaurant in Palm Springs. Always delicious.
we waited about 15 minutes before a waitress appeared and she didn't bring part of our order and the cook was barely doing his job.....we like the cook's banter and there was none of that...disappointing for our grandchildren!
Had a wonderful experience at Kobe. When we arrived for our reservation the hostesses let us know immediately that they were running behind schedule and offered us to sit in the lounge while we waited. Alejandro at the bar was very personable and friendly, he initiated conversation and poured some fierce cocktails to hold us. When we were seated the hostess and hostess manager were super friendly and upbeat. Florida our server was diligent in refilling our drinks and our chef Alex was humorous and professional. We enjoy Kobes for our special occassions!
