Kobe Japanese Steak House
The word "KOBE" suggests to the gourmet the ultimate in the finest beef, raised on delicacies, and gently massaged to perfection.
Watch as we lovingly prepare the most tender steak, the freshest seafood, free-range chicken, and garden fresh vegetables - all before your very eyes in true Japanese style.
Butter Garlic Lobster & Wagyu Steak
A whole lobster tail bathed in butter, garlic and sake accompanied by an incredibly tender Wagyu Steak
Tender young Boneless Chicken Breast, basted with Our famous Sweet 'n Sour Teriyaki Sauce
Miyazaki Wagyu (Kobe Style Beef)
Arguably Vancouver's finest and most expensive steak. Using the best Wagyu beef from the prefecture of Miyazaki, Japan, where the cattle known as Kuroge or Japanese Black are fed beer and massaged to elicit the most tender, juicy and highly marbled beef. Cooked to perfection in the authentic Teppanyaki manner using Kobe style beef bearing the Japanese Chrysanthemum Seal. This will be the most exquisite Melt-in-Your-Mouth steak you've ever experienced!
The food there was amazing! My boyfriend and I went for our second anniversary and is a great time! Our chef was very talented and engaging. It was a really good time and I’m definitely looking forward to going there again.
Kobe’s is one of my favourite restaurants to go to. We went to celebrate my birthday and it was my partners first time. The food and drinks are delicious but the food preparation is entertaining as well. However this last time there was no entertainment. Our chef was very here is your food, eat and on to the next. I was not impressed at all especially when I have been there many times and I know how it is supposed to be.
Fantastic service, positive energy, and delicious food.
Always a treat to visit Kobe’s. The food is excellent as always. Good wine, great selection. Thank you!
The kids are finally old enough to enjoy a nice dinner and a unique dining experience.
We came across some guest that seems to be (regulars) in the restaurant that were allowed by the reception to enter, linger around, stand wherever the customers want without wearing a mask.
None of the staff seems to bother to ask them to wear mask because they know that they are regular customers.
The ONLY place to eat in Vancouver the atmosphere is amazing
Excellent service. Well oiled machine! Food was delicious!
absolutely no show by chef, Chef was very impersonable.food was greasy, I have been to other Kobe (Phx) where it was excellent, will never go back or recommend Kobe Vancouver to anyone
Everything was great. Only downside was the COVID restrictions and barriers. But it’s understandable. Would have been better without it tho.
Been celebrating birthdays here for years. Great atmosphere and the kids really enjoyed the cooking show!
Our chef was very boring.... other tables were happening n looks like they were having lots of fun but our chef was very boring didn’t do much..... hopefully that chef get more entertaining in future.
Lady give rice n drinks had some attitude issues... wasn’t friendly at all.... service is very poor now. Time to pull up Your socks 🧦 team Kobo’s.
Management needs to train there staff on friendliness and chefs to be equally entertaining on all tables.
We went for my sons 11th birthday. We had 6 people. Our youngest son whos picky had a drink. When the bill came they charged us the tip at 18% because we had 6 people. We were not happy as we only had 5 people eating. For 3 of us in my paying group that auto tip was over $37 and my friend and her son who shared a $73 ultimate meal her auto tip was over $24. So our table of 5 paid $61 as a tip which was outrageous. I suggest going to Osaka Teppenyaki next time. They treat us way better and dont charge for people who arent eating. Im not happy. I ate the chicken and steak combo the steak was very rare(was supposed to be med rare) that both my husband and i put our meat back on the flat top to cook more. We will not return
Always a fun night for the family. Food is great and the chef's are always entertaining.Looking forward to going back.
Chef was rushed. Didn't get our fried rice we ordered. Celebrating a birthday and everyone around us got a free dessert except us.
For the price, expected more.
We've been coming to Kobe for years, last time was in 2019. Had dinner on 3/20/21,
Best meal ever, food was amazing and the largest portions we have ever received.
The chef was perfect, kept us entertained but stilled allowed us to do our thing.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Sat us early. Great! Others at table already eating soup and 1/2 way through their cocktails. Was rushed by super polite staff to order drinks and meals. Pay high price for food and entertainment. Food was very good, but was not the usual fun and entertaining as in past visits. May have been due to chef telling us it was his 1st night? Found ourselves watching other tables for the "fun & entertainment". Felt rushed to get out as well. Our visit was just under an hour. Came all the way from Kelowna to celebrate my sons 30th. Left full, but disappointed.
Food was amazing as always everything was first class from the service when you walk in the door down to the gelato finish
First time at Kobe and had a great time. My daughter was very impressed with the chef and his food.
Great service friendly staff and highly trained chefs. Hard to find now a days. Would highly recommend
Food was very good and the service was outstanding!
The food was very good as always and our chef Max was the best one to date... he made our little 5 yr old daughter feel like a queen.
It’s a fun place depending on what cook you get at your table some are better than others over all was decent food and was good
Such a great experience! Our chef (unfortunately I don't know his name) was really friendly and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Food was very tasty, service was great. Only positive things!
Amazing food and the chef was FANTASTIC!
Its the perfect place to go and celebrate a birthday, anniversary etc. Highly recommend
We’ve enjoy our dinner last week. The cook and the food were absolutely amazing delicious. We will go back here again
Another great food and service experience at Kobe. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and the other family at the same grill station were celebrating their daughters 13th. The staff were really attentive and acknowledged both a few times!
We've learned that if you desire a quiet dinning experience to book a later time. The noise level until about 730 -8 pm tends to be people yelling over each other (attention seekers perhaps?). We enjoy the meal and the company within our group and really shouldn't have to yell at each other to carry on a civil conversation.
Poor service. rude staff. won't be there again. worst server.
My absolute favorite place for date night. Thanks for the amazing food and service
If it's your first time going, you DO NOT need to eat everything as it goes onto your plate lol I did and was full before the steak came.. beware!
Chef had a terrific personality, food was superb, all happened right in front of of our eyes with some humour and flames!
Your Whiskey Sour is served in such a weird glass considering that mostly Men order that drink. Last time we went it was served in a normal drink glass this time in this ridiculously dainty glass my husband's found it hard to handle as his hands are so large.
Historic Vancouver establishment that's great if you want dinner with a show. The chefs have great personality and the meat is cooked well. This was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed it 😍
Amazing experience. Ace our cook was superb!
Excellent experience at Kobes this past weekend. The food was great, the chef was funny and entertaining.
We had an amazing experience at Kobe, our chief Al was hilarious and entertaining. Would highly recommend for great food and awesome laughter. Thank you will tell my friends about this place.
Would definitely recommend Kobe. We had the dine out menu and cocktails and everything was delicious. My only negative is that once you are finished the main course, everything is very rushed after that. I know they must have other sittings and need the table back but for the price of the meal it would be nice to be able to take your time. Overall, a great experience, 100% will go again!
Love how they’ve made it covid safe with plexiglass walls between groups. We like not having to sit with strangers so it makes the whole experience even better.
Really great experience, food is great! Max our chef was very entertaining.
I have never been to a teppanyaki restaurant that finished dinner within one hour only. They rushed everyone to finish our food and packed the left over then straight giving us the bill which makes me feel very unpleasant.
I have to pay $54 dine out for such experience is not worth it. The steak is not tender at all.
