Seated at Teppan table in old sushi bar area. Loud and dysfunctional space for guests and Chef. Waitress delivered drinks after soup and during salad. Waitress gave Teppan Chef orders backwards. Teppan Chef frustrated and reflected in poor performance. This was the first time for our Adult guests and we were seated with 2 single dads and 3 small children. Expensive and disappointing. We have dined here in the past and consistently positive review. Tonight was a disaster! Hope this is not the new trend

Always fun, especially for the kids, to have the chefs cook in front of them and do comical tricks with the food. Food is always good . Nice way to celebrate a birthday.

I've been coming to Kobe for over a year now and have not been disappointed.
I come to enjoy the lodge experience with the Thursday night band, love it.

We had an amazing time the chef was excellent!!! Food was good!

Everyone in my group of 14 enjoyed the experience. The chef was friendly and did a good job preparing the food.

My only suggestion is that Kobe’s should consider including a desert dish such as ice cream with the meal similar to what Benihana offers.

It was Easter and we were able to dine with 7 in our group. We were seated promptly at 1pm. Overall good experience . However the food portions on the meat, rice and vegetables were slim for the amount of money we paid - it was full price dining during lunch for teppan. I was a bit disappointed for I have had healthier portions at other teppan dining experiences.

Food is ok. Very slow in refilling the food in buffet table. Not much selection. Too noisy. Not worth it.

The place was packed, which was great. Very difficult to hear. However, there was a live band in the bar that was great. Think their name is “Tight Ship” — definitely going back.

Food was mediocre, at best. The chicken was DRY. The soup was tasteless. The table chef was not s nearly as entertaining as other table chefs.

Every time I’ve come to Kobe steakhouse the food and the service both in the restaurant and bar are always outstanding

We had a reservation for 7:00, the waiting area was very crowded and we were hearing other patrons complaining about their wait time and how they’d been there for more than an hour and had reservations! By 7:30 we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Love this restaurant but they need to book properly!

The food was delicious! We sat at the grill/ teppan and our chef was outstanding.

Met some friends for dinner to check out the band. Were sat in the main DR table. Noisy with the chatter and Teppan table antics across on the other side of the restaurant. If I were at a Teppan table I'd want that entertainment so it's not a complaint. Food pretty good, portions fair. Service fair.

Great place to celebrate family events, the food is the best thing you ever have , very good and delicious.

Fast, friendly service. Really good sushi. Sat at a table instead of the teppenyaki grill. Restaurant was a bit on the loud side so conversation was a bit difficult. But overall great experience.

My husband and I dined at Kobe for Valentine's Day & it was GREAT!! Good service, great food, & good drinks, all at a reasonable price!! What more could you ask for.

Food and service were excellent we were celebrating three birthdays on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the evening.

Kobe is always a fun meal. The chefs at the teppan tables are very funny and put on a great show.

Food was great! I had a reservation for 6:30 but some people in my party were running late and they let me push back my reservation. Downside, we sat through the entire meal without being served our rice or salad (everyone else at the table had theirs) We kept asking but it didnt arrive until we were completely done eating. That was a little disappointing. The Chef was great though!

Nice place, great food presentation, however the Rice a little bit crunchy, other than that - we had a fantastic time at the Dinner table. Remember to reserve seating to dine and their is a separate reservation for the Lounge. Take care

So much fun and a 3 course meal for a decent price. The chef’s are so talented and the food is amazing!

The neighbors got together for a fun evening out at Kobe. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the teppan grill and our food was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. We will be back for another visit in the near future.

Our chef was very entertaining and engaging. Our other tables chef, not so much. I’m glad I got the one we got. The food was good and I liked it better than the competition.

My date and I both got the lobster & filet mignon. Both our food was so tough. I got my meet medium well, and I could barely cut it. My date got medium and he was having trouble as well. The lobster was very chewy... I’m sure this place is usually amazing, but it just wasn’t our night I guess. The waitress was so amazing and nice though!!!

We did not even get a chance to be seated. We went on New Years Eve and had a 7:30 reservation. Upon arrival we checked in early and discovered that they were so overbooked that by 8:15pm they had not yet seated the 7pm reservations. The front area of the restaurant was total chaos. There were numerous parties complaining at the front desk and the poor girl at checkin really had no answers. The manager did come out to try to deal with angry people but didn’t really help. We left without eating and had wonderful meal at The Olive Pit in Huntington Beach.

I had reservations at 7pm on New Year's Eve. They must have overbooked, because there was an average wait of over an hour for your reservation. We waited over an hour. People with 7:30pm reservations were seated before us. Attempts to speak to the hostesses and/or a manager were frustrating. The manager actually walked away from me in the middle of my sentence twice! There were no discounts on our bill. As I was walking out, I received a coupon for $20 off our next visit (really?) WITH an expiration date of six months out (REALLY?). This was a horrible experience with them.

Enjoyed the evening, we were celebrating our daughters 19th Birthday. She had a great time which made us all happy.

The food was great! The service was very helpful with recommendations. Everyone around us seemed to be having a pleasant time. I recommend this restaurant highly. We will be returning.

Very nice environment. Friendly staff. GREAT meal, lots of food, large portions. Steak was juicy and tender. Teppan style was very entertaining. Will go again, and again.

Christmas Eve dinner

Had the vegetarian hibachi and it was great! Friendly staff and everyone had a great time. Entertaining for the kids. Great for Japanese food or sushi everyday, or for a special occasion. Would recommend reservations.

The was very good as it always is. I like the sushi option with the teppanyaki. The chefs are very entertaining and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
