The staff at Fairmont Kei Lani Ko restaurant provided a poolside private cabana under candlelight for a memorable 30th anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect, and our attendant Sarah made sure we had plenty of sunset photos to capture the special evening forever! Thank you, Mahalo, Ko for your impeccable service, cuisine and breathtaking ambiance !

The ambiance and lighting for the price was the worst part of this meal. The food was just ok, but when you’re paying $50 for an entree you expect much better everything. We are at Spago for similar prices and had the opposite experience. Skip Ko and go to Spago, Ferraro or Ka’an kitchen.

It was ok. We went to celebrate our anniversary. We had requested a table with a view. Even though we were right on time for our reservation, we had to wait almost 10 mins. We were seated in the kids section and could not see any thing but up set kids. We were given Hawaiian lais that was a nice touch. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but was not much help recommending vegetarian options. It took about an hour and a half to get our meals. It was ok but not worth it. Over all a disappointing anniversary meal.

Hostess- requested a table with a view, only to be taken to the back of the restaurant. Only open second request was taken to a table at the front.

Server- excellent, accommodating and friendly.

Food- interesting menu and delicious.

Lighting- after sunset on the terrace it was difficult to see the food you were eating

Music- live music would be nicer than the dance music they seemed to be playing at the Bar.

We celebrated my 40th with a big trip to Maui and enjoyed our final meal of the vacation at Ko. The service was exceptional, the food divine and the ambience was lovely!! The spring rolls were so good we talked about them on the flight home!!
Thank you for the lovely birthday Lei and for being so patient with my daughter. Leanne- you were amazing.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Ko. The lighting outside was romantically dim and I was glad they gave us little reading lights for our menus. We got a few appetizers instead of entrees and everything was excellent. The only disappointment was having to wait 10 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation.

From the food to the service to the ambiance.....5 star all the way. WONDERFUL Kaamaina discount. Waiter Ross was top notch and a great personality, as the rest of the staff. Don't change a thing....you got it! Right on! We will be returning many times again and this was not a first time.

We can't say enough good things about this restaurant -- practically perfect dining experience. So enjoyable, we cancelled a different reservation and ate here twice during our 3-night stay at the Fairmont. The interior of the restaurant is stunning, and our server took the time to explain all of the finer details of the designs. Their appetizers should come with a warning -- big enough for a meal. Oishi Sushi was fresh and delicious. Veggie Tempura was your basic tempura, but somehow better given the surroundings. My wife had the Makai Catch in the lemongrass coconut broth both nights (with different fish each time) -- she couldn't stop raving about how exquisitely tasty it was. Chap Chae is huge and more than enough to share (or eat by itself, but don't order an appetizer). Zarzuela was a slightly spicy broth with copious amounts of seafood perfectly poached. The drink menu wasn't all that special, but the food will bring you back again and again.

The food was creative and delicious, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. All a must in fine dining. Ko’s uses a large variety of locally grown, raised and caught food.

The service was prompt and there was just the right amount of attention provided by staff. My only complaint was that our section boardering the garden was a little dark. A candle would have been a nice touch.

All in all an enjoyable dining experience.

The food was outstanding ! Everything we had was really wonderful with the exception of pork skewers with banana ketchup. This was just nothing special and has no real flavor. Our server did not recommend this one and we ordered anyway. All other recommendations were beyond exceptional. Service was very good. We all agree this was the best meal we had in Maui .

Once again, Ko delivers excellent food with great service. We eat there every time we come to Maui and I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Island. The fish is always fresh and tasty and can be prepared in several different ways.

Expected a better dining experience in a ‘clean environment’. People sitting next to me in wrinkled shorts and golf hat didn’t much for me. We had a 7:15PM reservation and it seemed the staff was in a hurry to place our order so chef could go home.

Greeted with Warm smiles and Aloha. My daughter and I enjoyed a beautifully prepared sushi appetizer and our entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection! The lemongrass (grown on site) coconut curry was perfectly prepared with the local catch. Chris Hong went above and beyond to secure us a cookbook. Proceeds got to local culinary academy. We will be back to get the cookbook signed!
Perfect place for any special occasion that warrants great locally sourced food and service that was professional and delivered with Aloha!

I want to first say that i really love this place. The kama aina is the best of the island, but I took my friends, who including myself , are sober for a lunch. I we ordered 2 mocktails (ginger syrup, lemongrass and mint with soda) and they came with gin . While that was easy to distinguish after a sip each and sent back. The server was so apologetic and kind. He really felt terrible. He made the correction and brought us the right drinks but then put them on the bill. It irked me and I brought it up at the end, when we were paying. I'm surprised they don't use a different glass to distinguish the difference? What if we were underage and had ordered the drink? Also admitting the bar made an error and comping them would have been an easy call for most servers. Also my friends burger was totally overcooked, bummer since they aren't cheap. I've had wonderful experiences here but that day wasn't one.

Always enjoy dinner at Ko. The decor is gorgeous, our booth/table was perfect for our party of 5 and as always, the service was outstanding (mahalo Andrew). Two of us enjoyed the special which included scallops from Japan that were perfect. Two in our party had gluten free issues that were dealt with in a most positive and successful manner.
Will keep going back to Ko for sure!

All three of us in our party rated this the worst meal we had. We had 3 different entrees and neither were as delicious as we expected. Additionally after having a reservation for weeks they sat the three of us at a large table for 8. That made a poor meal even worse. We tried the desserts which were interesting and better than the meal but still far from delicious.

My husband and I just got married and we decided to have our wedding dinner at Ko. The food was incredbile! I don't remember the last time I had such excellent food as a vegetarian. Every single person at my table was pleased. The staff was attentive and friendly and the environment was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant in Maui! 10/10.

We celebrated mom's birthday and was not disappointed. Ko has the best kama'aina deals on the island, no, in the state! That plus the food was really well prepared. We all had something different and everyone was beyond satisfied with their selection.
We usually have the birthday celebratee pick the restaurant, and we all agreed Ko's will be all of our choice on our next birthday celebration.
Now our only problem is making up new reasons to celebrate.

I’m not sure if the yelp rating is accurate but I can tell you that the food is not worth it from price value and food quality. It is a fancy location, plating looks fancy however the actual food is not that good. We didn’t even finish it because it just not good! The Kobe beef poke is like a medium rare grilled beef with chopped tomato, cucumber that looks like a salad, and not to mention it’s such a waste of meat. Front desk and server misinformed us in details on the payment method, and the restaurant manager was using quites aggressive tone even it’s the restaurant fault and mistake to mislead customers. I thought in the service industry customer always right. I didn’t expect to spend money for this kind service at a high end hotel restaurant. If you are tourist, traveler and looking for fancy restaurant, please do not! It’s such a disappointment!

While in Hawaii we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We had reservations and were greeted with beautiful leis. We were seated and then waited to have our order taken. After a 10 min wait someone came and explained the chef catch and preparation. Then a 2nd wait person came and explained the special again. That was after another wait of 10 min. Finally someone different delivers our drinks a d then we order. The food was just ok and we had such high expectations...my husband did love his glazed pork chop. Our main complaint was knowing who or wait person was...we got no attention. Very disappointing.
