Knight's Steakhouse - Downtown Ann Arbor
Located at the corner of Liberty and Maynard streets, Knight's is the perfect place to grab a delicious meal and a strong drink!
Our philosophy is to provide our customers with unbelievable food, exceptional service and great drinks all at a great value. We only use the highest quality products available and our steaks and other offerings are cut fresh everyday by our butchers at Knight’s Market. As a traditional steakhouse, our steaks, prime rib, chicken, burgers and seafood are a main focus of our menu. However, we are equally proud of our other menu choices, including an assortment of salads, sandwiches, and pastas. We famously pour the strongest drink in town! We also offer a wide selection of draft and bottled beers, and an extensive wine list.
Each day we strive to improve our customers’ experience by providing quality food, drinks and service at an affordable price!
We are close to several large public parking structures, including: the Maynard Street Structure (1/2 block); Liberty Square Structure (1 block) and the Liberty Lane Structure (3 blocks). Maps for the structures can be found at www.a2dda.org. Street parking is also available on most streets around the restaurant. All parking is free on Sundays!
A great place for a good American meal. Knights offers a varied menu, good drinks and great service. We had limited time and our waitress was extremely accommodating and was able to get us served within our 1 hour time frame.
As usual, Knight’s comes through with a perfectly cooked burger. I look forward to it every time I’m in town.
Linda and me went for a quick dinner before attending Pat Metheny at Hill Auditorium. Food was excellent but a little too noisy for us "old" ladies!! I'll definitely try the restaurant again sometime soon - maybe lunch time when it is not so crowded...
Visited Knight’s downtown location before a show at the Michigan Theatre. Food was excellent as always, and few places make a better cocktail. Our server was helpful and accommodating when our group grew unexpectedly larger.
Great steak and margarita, service was friendly and fun atmosphere.
Our go-to spot when visiting Ann Arbor. Fun after a football game! Good food, great service, lively but not too loud, a little pricey.
The steaks are like butter. Delicious. Service was on point and quick but not bothersome. Fantastic experience.
Love the food. Service very MEH. Thanks for reading
That was some super good food. Get the ribs, you’ll love them.
We were pleasantly surprised. The bar tenders was very good. Great Martini. Loved the NY Strip. I had mine blackened with blue cheese and onions.
Always a good meal. Thank you! We missed our favorite waitress Jenna but we still had good service.
It was our 1st time at Knight and we were very pleased with the service and food. Our waiter Shawn was very thoughtful, and that made our Anniversary meal more special.
Wonderful restaurant. The food was very good. The service was phenomenal. We went for a nice anniversary dinner and enjoyed ourselves very much. Just the right amount of casual and dress-up.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and the wait staff! The food was great for all of us!
Definitely will return.
Went for dinnerSaturday night. Food was fair. Service was great but very average restaurant. Was expecting more!
Once more Knights delivered. One if my favorite game day restaurant!!
Erin Franklin is the friendliest and most efficient server I've ever had. She was just wonderful! If there's room at the top at Knight's, she should be promoted. She could and would bring only very positive contributions to the overall reputation of Knight's. Well done!
The server had no idea about anything on the menu and kept apologizing that it was her 3rd day. Does the restaurant not train them at all before putting them out in front of customers. I reordered a filet medium and it came out butterflied and was more we’ll done because of this. I did see something on the menu that stated all well done filets would be butterflied. They said I could send it back but it will be 20 minutes so I said no. The steak was good, although thin and well done. We ordered a bottle of wine to eat with our steaks and it came after we finished our food. The side salad was horrible. It was all chunks of core. I have been here many times but I am over this place now.
When we went it was not crowded. Seemed like a nice classy place to eat. Lunch prices were much more manageable than dinner. The halibut tacos were tasty albeit slightly oversalted.
Knight's, whether on Liberty or on Dexter Av. is my favorite place for dinner and conversation generally. The waitstaff is always courteous and considerate.
The service was spot on especially that Josh was our server.
Had a great brunch with our son who is attending U-M. Knights was recommended to us as an alternative to waiting in line at other busy brunch spots. The Chef's Sunday specials were wonderful and we all really enjoyed our meals. Server was super nice and friendly. Food was timely, fresh, portions generous and very tasty! Will definitely go back.
Great as usual. Go there after Michigan Football home games always quality food and great service!!
An excellent birthday dinner (free dessert, or call ahead for birthday cake).
Excellent filet mignon!
My first time, but my wife had been before. This was her choice for her birthday dinner. We enjoyed the steaks we had. Best ever. Our filets had no grissle or fat. Will definitely be back. Also had a parking garage across the street.
All good to go to Knight’s for dinner after a Michigan game!!!!
Great game day place!! We come here after every home Michigan football game.
First time at Knights, it was very good. The three of us all had a different steak entree and we each loved our dishes and each others. Definitely going back.
Steak was perfect and the brussel sprouts were awesome. Service was on point.
Food was excellent! Most people will come here for the meat but we had a wonderful chicken dish and excellent calamari w/popcorn shrimp.
We had great service and would come again.\
Our experience at Knight's was so-so.
Yes, we were seated promptly in an area that was a quiet as there was in the restaurant, and our waitress approached as soon as we sat down. A good start. The food was okay -- Salmon sandwich was good, the lobster tails were so small that it was hard to get the actual tail piece out, and the meat portion was too small. We should have been warned that though the lobster tails appetizer was identified in the menu as as "2", because they were ordered as a main course, we should have been warned that the two were incredibly small. Ou.r waitress was pleasant
Knights has become our tradition every time we visit Ann Arbor. Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere and great service. Love it!
Excellent service! We haven't had a server that enthusiastic and on top of things in a while. We were seated right next to the server bar though so that wasn't the best seat in the house and the team and our table all needed more room. They need to get rid of that table 😒.
We both had the roast beef, which is offered only on Thursday through Sunday. The old Knight's used to serve prime beef, but both Knight's restaurants have downgraded the beef. The cut was generous and good , but not great as it used to be. We now go to Costco for prime beef and cook it ourselves.
Always a winner! Noisy - because move in week, start of new term, but not enough to spoil the food. Try the Kale and Brussells Sprouts salad - amazing! We try to stop here every time we’re in town
Nice atmosphere and the outdoor seating is a plus. Food is very average. The baked potato was not quite baked all the way through. The steak was cooked as I ordered it but the flavor was lacking. If I had paid less for it I would have felt better-it was not special. I expected an extraordinary taste from the reputation of Knight's.
Knights has been a tradition in our family since my son first started his college search. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our very first visit to Ann Arbor 2 years ago, and now when we return, or a new family comes to visit Ann Arbor, we always eat at Knights. The friendliness of the staff, the knowledge of Gluten Free options and the location for us, given that it is close to campus, makes it a "must stop" on our yearly drop off of our son at the University of Michigan.
