My husband and I each had the prime rib. It was a very generous cut of meat at 12oz. In terms of taste and texture: it was nice. Not great, but satisfying. The side salad with the house made ranch dressing was just as it should be. Fresh and delicious. But what really put the dinner into the "very good" category was the dessert. We shared a layered chocolate mouse. I don't know if it was made in-house, but if it was: kudos to the pastry chef!
Great food and excellent service
The food here is always good. It’s not too loud, unlike many other restaurants in town. We have had Katie as our server a few times and she is great!
I have dined at the Liberty Street Knight's many times, and while I feel it does a good job on its entrees and drinks, its ambiance could be better. Several times we have been seated towards the rear, and the high-pitched whistling noise is really obnoxious, and the vibrations from the floor are also intrusive. Maybe it's a problem with the building, but it definitely takes away from an enjoyable dinner.
Service was excellent and the food was terrific.
Filet mignon and the truffle fries were awesome. First time there and was not disappointed.
Great food, nice decor, very comfortable for our Mother’s Day lunch!
Visited Knights for Mother's Day lunch for 5 people. The service was fantastic, the food above average! My sister who ordered the Salmon burger, raved about how good it was. A few of us had the Bistro burger which was also very good. My husband had salad with steak and he said his food was very good too. Would definitely go back.
We had fantastic service and fabulous food!
Our waiter was really good! He followed up timely and answers questions well and selection preferences.
Very good food!
Great place to stop before or after movies at the Michigan or events at Hill Auditorium. Excellent, quick service and a creative but solid menu. We depend on this downtown child of the Vets' Park restaurant on a variety of occasions.
Always try to visit. Great food and freindly service. Amazing cocktails - great burgers.
After dining, I was attending a film at the Michigan Theatre. I had a box of leftovers and asked the young woman at the front desk if she could keep it on ice for me until after the film. She was very gracious, and when I returned, she saw me from across the room and went to recover my box without being asked. I did not catch the woman's name, but I very much appreciated the good service.
Disappointed they didn’t have margaritas special all night on May 5 Cinco
Had a lovely lunch with my daughters and an old friend. Service was exceptional and food was excellent!
We though overall the place was outstanding. The service was great and they were very accommodating for our anniversary.
We always enjoy Knight's Downtown. The food is great, the service is wonderful, and they are always accommodating re any needs we may have. We highly recommend!
Had amazing service and so much fun!
Had a really good dinner with absolutely excellent service. Just right for a quiet confab between two friends who just wanted to take their time and talk.
Good food, attentive service. Our go to for a good drink and meal. Enjoy their specials.
Knights Downtown is one of my favorite places to dine before an event at the Michigan Theater or Hill Auditorium.
Great steaks! Attentive greeting and wait staff! Highly recommended.
Always great food and exceptional service. Very happy at Knights every time. All 4 meals cooked perfectly!
As always, the food was very good and the service was wonderful. WAY too noisy to have a decent conversation, but if you can put up with that it's a great choice for dinner in the State St. area. It might be less crowded and noisy at 5 :00 pm, but by 6:00 pm it's nearly full and loud!
Good ambiance, great for business meetings or quiet conversation. Likely good for special occasion dinners as well.
Started with drinks at the bar. Christina the bartender was fantastic. Dinner was great and the service by our waitress Katie was even better. Couldn’t be happier.
Fantastic meal. Cocktails were a little watered down but still good. Katie was our server and she was amazing, especially given how busy it was. She was slammed but kept a smile on her face.
Knights Downtown Ann Arbor is a wonderful place to meet friends before or after a show at the Michigan Theater. The food and drinks are always great. It was really hopping, so the noise got a bit too loud, but still a quality experience.
Knights is always reliable and has the BEST meat in town (they do own the best butcher shop in town) It is right across the street from the Michigan Theater so it's the perfect place for either before or after the movies.
We loved everything about it!! We had steak and chicken and side dishes were very delish. I was surprised there were peepers in the Risto. But it was still good!!
The meals were fantastic. The service we received from our waitress Katie was superb! We couldn’t have asked for a better waitress.
We always love Knight's restaurants. Both the downtown location and the one on Dexter Ave. Cocktails always generous. The calamari and shrimp app was yummy. It was a busy Friday night. Lively dining and our server was attentive. We had burgers and the fish and chips. Maybe the french fries could be a bit more crispy? Our table was split on the burger--one was done perfectly to order--the other too rare. It was sent back and the kitchen replaced with the right order. Salads were fresh and overall a delicious casual dinner.
Knight's is an old tradition in Ann Arbor, and its downtown restaurant, opened a few years ago, is a wonderful addition to the restaurant scene. Be sure to get reservations if you want a table, but there is also a substantial bar area.
Great food and drinks. We requested a booth but they were taken so we got a wonderful sunny window seat instead. Brussel sprouts were delicious. Drinks were strong and delicious. It was the second time I had the NY strip steak and it was overdone again so maybe err a notch rather than usual when you order steak. Love this place. It’s a favorite!
Went for a birthday celebration dinner. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is really yummy. I had the burger with bacon and egg (forgot the name) and it was soooo good. Truffle fries are good too.
I went to Knight's with my daughter and my nephew who studies at University of Michigan. We were on a college campus tour and were visiting Ann Arbor for a couple of days. The hotel staff recommended the restaurant to me and I'm very glad they did. We had an amazing meal, wonderful and attentive staff and the overall ambience of the restaurant was relaxing and inviting.
We had a business meeting here, we loved it but the only thing it was durning the basketball game and got really loud. Food and service was great.
We had forgotten that it was the NCAA basketball championships that night which likely accounted for the majority of the noise & atmosphere. The food was great & the service was excellent!
Dined Easter evening, party of four. We were seated immediately. Food and service was good. Menu had a nice variety of meat and fish. It was a nice overall experience but would try another place next time since Ann Arbor has so many choices.
This restaurant has pleasant atmosphere. We ordered the Calamari & Popcorn shrimp appetizer and it sounded good on the menu, but the sauce was too sweet. The restaurant is famous for their steak so all of us either ordered the prime rib or steak and it was delicious. Service was good, but was really slow. It could just be our waitress.
