Wonderful experience for our anniversary!
Terrific service and great food as always. Kudos to the new sommelier!
My only comment. Is there a better place in Dallas to eat? I think not. Unbelievably excellent!
The food was incredible and our server Chris couldn’t have more pleasant!
Surly service and for the most part, terrible food. Steaks looked and tasted like they were in the sale bin at HEB.
We ate ate Al Bernaits, Capital Grill, Del Frisco's and Knife this week. Knife stood alone as being terrible.
Knife is the 2020 Longhorns of steakhouses.
Great Drinks, and great Steaks!
The steaks served for my party were phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Great steaks and sides. Have the most flavorful filet mignon. Enjoyed a wonderful dessert.
And the pasta was great
Anniversary dinner. Food and service were great.
We had an absolutely amazing experience dinning at Knife last night! We are both in the industry and were left on Cloud 9 leaving dinner last.
We started with the Crispy Pork Belly Slab which melted in your mouth and had building layers of great Asian flavors.
We then split the 45 Day Dry Aged Heartbrand Ranch Akaushi Ribeye 32OZ and I honestly can tell you my praise for this steak does not give the flavor true justice. It was unbelievably delicious. Literally melted in my mouth in every bite. The Creamed Spinach was the best of our two sides but only because we didn’t care for the breading topping.
Dessert was just as spectacular and beautifully presented. We ordered the Peach Creme Brûlée and the Chocolate and Coffee.
It’s also important to mention that through out the entire service we never wanted for anything. It was paced beautifully. Service was only there when you needed and blended into the evening very well. Spectacular!
Food was good but the portions were a bit small. They didn’t have 1st or 2nd drink choice available.
Oh my goodness! The steaks are the most unbelievable experience.
You can’t go wrong with the aged ribeye. Amazing! The truffle Mac n Cheese is so rich and creamy. You’ll crave it long after
you left. Service is some of the best in town.
Lots of extra touches you do t find in other places like the gift orange cranberry muffins and pallet cleaners.
Great ambience and people are super friendly.
We stayed at the hotel and decided to have dinner at Knife. We had heard great reviews.
The ambiance is elegant and cozy. The wine list was excellent. We had champagne and cocktails first then a beautiful Rhône Syrah. Great value and delicious
The oysters and tuna tartare were delicious.
We had four in our party and shared a 10 oz skirt waygu and a 32oz 44 day aged ribeye. The steaks were excellent and perfectly cooked
Dessert was ingenious and tasty. Great value, awesome service and experience
We were celebrating my boyfriends 26th birthday and had a wonderful experience. We had the bacon tasting as an appetizer, which was my favorite just because it’s so unique. We both had steaks, both amazing, and a side of Mac and cheese. I loved the wine choice I made, Four Bears Pinot Nior. My boyfriend had a rare whiskey that he was very excited about! The service was perfect. Over all, it was a perfect night. Absolutely zero complaints. We will be back 😊
The 90 day dry aged ribeye was unbelievable. Expensive but you only live once
Knife Dallas was a marvelous experience and the servers very friendly.
It was my wife’s Birthday and i booked the reservation through open table i thought they would have done something nice generally speaking like most restaurants do when its a birthday givin that i was asked the reason for booking or if I was celebrating anything special. Other than really nothing special being done the overall experience was def a 10. My wife and i both enjoyed the food as well as the service. We will def be going back again. My only suggestion is that if you dont plan to acknowledge the special occasion you ask about dont ask what someone is celebrating.
Don’t waste your money. I’ve had better steaks and chain restaurants. Bar was very loud, even in the dining room. We ordered two Fillets, both were VERY undercooked and over seared (burnt on outside). No linen On the tables. Not worth the money.
My wife and I decided to try Knife after viewing a Food Network program showcasing the restaurant. The show focused on Knife's dry aging process. We like beef and Knife did not disappoint. The minute you enter, you are overwhelmed with the smell of searing beef (in a good way). We had the 45 day aged ribeye and loved it. We have been to several restaurants that feature quality beef and Knife may be our new favorite. And, to top it off, our service was impeccable!
We celebrated my birthday there with a big group and we were in our ok room , the food was delicious . My favorite were the deserts even though everything was great
Perfect as always. Wine, salad, filet, risotto, potatoes.
Overall a decent place, but by no means did it live up to the hype.
Several flaws with some of the items.
The au poivre was a demi-glace at best. Lacking any depth and void of flavor.
The Mac and cheese was sadly overdone and broken, and the steak was good but cold as it was over rested.
Food and service were great!
A delightful food experience!!! Stayed at the hotel and heard the restaurant was amazing and had to check it out... Food of course was wonderful and the service was really top notch! A gentleman brought us bread over the course of the evening which was delicious - they started us off with crudités and ended the evening with some exquisite chocolates which just made it all the more fabulous! Would highly recommend!!
Bacon sampler was great. Perks was better than expected. The filet turned out great. Service on the other hand was not great. At that price range you should not have to look for your waiter.
Everything we had was amazing. The steak was overcooked, so we didn’t get their best, but I would go back.
Service was excellent, place was very loud, hardly able to have a conversation at the table. Food was pretty good, nothing outstanding. Would definitely recommend trying it out but not somewhere I will probably go back to.
Took one hour and 30 minutes before we had food in front of us. No alcohol bill was $80. That $80 does not translate into speedy superior service. I recommended this restaurant to my friends and I was so embarrassed. I’ll never suggest we go back.
If you charge these prices; you should be prepared on a Friday night to deliver.
Not a ribeye fan, but the dry aged bone in ribeye was to die for
The best steakhouse ever
Great Food, Service and overall experience. Recommended for sure!
This was a great date night or special occasion dinner spot. We will definitely be coming back.
I asked my waiter for his recommendations because I’m a steak novice. He proceeded to give me a detailed description of everything with the menu and even the restaurant’s history. I felt so happy that he took the time to make sure we understood the importance of each selection. Great guy.
Good ambiance and menu selection was abundant. Extremely slow service and not the best steak in Dallas. Over hyped and over priced.
Great dining experience
The yellowtail and bacon tasting were exceptional! I really loved the bone in Riley as well but how can u ever go wrong with that. The creamed spinach and the mac n cheese I wasn't crazy about though. Maybe it was some kind of cheese I wasn't a fan of. Overall, I love the place n will be going back just to try the burger. My friend got one n the fries were amazing!!!
The corn risotto was fantastic. The wagyu steak had great flavor, the bacon flight was unique, but possibly a little under delivered. The staff was phenomenal. I would definitely go back again
Delicious steaks. I enjoyed the vegetable tray brought out before dinner. The bread was delicious too. Friendly and proficient service. Would return for another dining experience.
OUTSTANDING Overall! We had great service and great food at this steakhouse inside The Highland Dallas. Clearly they benefit by being her SMU, The Park Cities, and Downtown. While not as upscale or warm (traditional) as some other spots in town (like Nick & Sams, Bob's, Pappas Bros.), the chef here is innovative and has top-quality steaks. We also liked the starters, sides, sauces and wine list. Being in a hotel, the vibe is somewhat more casual and (in normal times) the bar dining area is likely lively and a cool spot. Their specialty dry-aged steaks are what they are known for, we had a great filet without needing our Platinum credit card. But if you are looking to splurge, the $150 dry-aged ribeye looked amazing. Only comment--the wine list leaned very heavily (too far) into French wines. Could not find a New Zealand Sav. Blanc for our appetizers, but that is a VERY minor issue overall. Highly recommended spot.
