Very special 60th dinner. Service was excellent!! Private dining area. Thank you, KNIFE!
Excellent food. Slow service though. The burger, beef cheek and steaks are phenomenal. Not good though at making dietary accommodations
Without question, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our server, Alex, exemplifies the standard all servers should strive for. From presentation to taste, this dining experience was second to none.
Great for celebrating occasions. Atmosphere is exceptional. Casual dress code
One of my favorite restaurants. Took a friend for his birthday. Food is presented well, decor is amazing, staff is great
Great service and great food in an atmosphere that was upscale but very comfortable.
Steak and sides were excellent! Atmosphere was great. Service was on point. A bit pricier than other Dallas steakhouses, but still worth it.
It was really delicious. We both had the same thing - we shared the bacon appetizer, then each had the petite filet and shared a dish of mac and cheese. It was plenty of food. And we ate every bite and enjoyed it immensely. It's not cheap, but you wouldn't go there to save money anyway.
I’m a fan of Top Chef and never had a chance to check out Knife when I lived in the DFW area. My husband and I were back in town so we decided to check it out. The experience was amazing. The food was the best steak I’ve ever had. We splurged on the 45 day dry aged ribeye and it was beef-tastic. They make an excellent old fashion and the service was impeccable.
Our waiter was actually great but we didn’t receive our entrees for over an hour and half. We tried 4 appetizers which were all fairly good but ordinary. The Akaushi ribeye required salt and pepper to give it some sort of taste. It was all ok but nothing outstanding like we hoped for. Will try again and do some different dishes.
Great food!!! Steaks were cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed our dinner here.
Excellent BOUTIQUE HOTEL restaurant. Tremendous service and excellent food. Very quiet. Primarily seems to be used by business people but also makes a great date night location.
We started with the Onion Rings, Avocado Fries, and Yellowtail starters which were delicious. One of us had the Wagyu skirt steak and the other, the hanger steak. Both were cooked and served as ordered. The Spinach side was wonderful. Potion sizes were generous. The wine 🍷 list was varied and reasonably priced. Service was attentive as well. We would return.
Aged bone-in ribeye was the beat steak I’ve ever had
Server was excellent, gave great advice, wasn't hesitant on recommending the burgers vs high price steak. Would go back!
Fantastic steaks with great seasoning cooked to perfection. Sides were excellent. Salads are pretty basic. Service was exceptional. I did enjoy the atmosphere but I am sure some wuld prefer the "basic steakhouse" approach.
EPIC dining experience! This isn't just dinner! The entire team made this a very special night! I cannot wait to visit again. The bacon sampler, the aged ribeye, and the wine selected for us were amazing! And killer desserts and cocktails as well!
I would recommend Knife if you needed a space for medium groups to gather inside or outside. The steak was adequate, the services was really good. Our waiter was really good.
Very good ambiance, sat on at the counter and was entertained with the chefs preparing the food in front of us. They are known for their steak but we got Pasta and was not disappointed, great Risotto! Desert was a tasty way to cap off the evening.
Food was excellent as was the service. I loved the tenderloin with Bernaise sauce. And the green salad was large enough to split. Bravo.
Worst steak we've had in Dallas. A disgrace. I don't know how it received the reviews it did, unless they were puff pieces purposely planted.
This was our second time back and it was just as good as the first time. We had the bone in ribeye 24oz, and the petite filet 6oz. We also got the heirloom tomato side and the avocado fries. The steaks were seasoned so perfectly and I could go on-and-on about the heirloom tomato - highly recommend! The service was fantastic, especially the expo Mary. She was so nice and helpful when she delivered our food! We enjoyed a bottle of Pinot noir with our dinner and spent around $215. The quality of the food and service is well above the price. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for fantastic steaks in downtown Dallas.
Steak was great, asparagus was raw and crudites was moldly.
Server was outstanding, very professional knew the menu and all about the restaurant and came and checked on us just the right amount of times. We were celebrating a bday and had our own private room which was great and we were able to talk and hear one another. Great night
Great and amazing place
Best ribeye I’ve ever had. Hands down.
Knowing that I had to be in Dallas for work for a week, I had to make sure I included Knife on my food tour. It did not disappoint! The food really was delicious. I did enjoy the fact that the wine list was brought to me via an iPad tablet so I could actually read about the wine and see some tasting notes. Service also includes a starter on the house, a crudite platter with their homemade Green Goddess dressing. I definitely enjoyed that. A gentleman also comes by with a lovely assortment of breads and you could pick and choose. I tried the lemon thyme bread and it came with butter (that's SOFT!). My big pet peeve is getting cold butter. So kudos to Knife on knowing the butter game. I ordered the bacon tasting (a definite must!). I had samplings from Spain, two kinds from Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Massachusetts. It also came with a generous portion of bacon jam that had a lot of bourbon in it. For my main, I ordered the petite filet (a perfect 6oz portion) and side orders of mac and cheese with bacon breadcrumbs and the asparagus (I had to find some way to incorporate some veggies). I love my steak a beautiful medium-rare and my steak came out perfectly. It had a beautiful reddish center and it was so tender. I got the bearnaise sauce to accompany my steak and it was so good. The mac and cheese was not a disappointment. The breadcrumbs gave it the perfect textural taste. It came in this mini cast-iron skillet. I would have eaten the whole thing but I knew I wanted to order dessert, so I stopped myself and actually offered this gentleman next to me some of the mac. For dessert I had this delicious blood orange and chocolate dessert that looked like art on a plate. It was a fun dessert to eat as it had textural components - praline crumbles and cake crumbs. The chocolate dessert was this dome-shaped dessert that tasted so light and creamy. The blood orange sorbet was a perfect component. I would definitely recommend going to Knife.
Dry aged sirloin was amazing!!! Knife probably has the best steak of all the steak places in the DFW area. We loved the bacon tasting, tuna, and roasted okra as well. Well worth the money!
Our server made consistent, relentless attempts to upsell us at every single level of ordering, from alcohol, to cokes, to salads, to half salads, to extra sides, to dessert. He also told us that it would take 25 minutes for our food to cook as a bid to get us to order more appetizers/salads. The food took 15 minutes and I felt deliberately misled. For such a nice restaurant, I have never felt so "hustled" in my life.
The bacon tasting is something everyone must try but the burgers are my favorite!
Impressive all around. Cuts you don’t find at your ordinary steakhouse. Fresh and diverse offerings, all price ranges. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Amazing quality food and service was outstanding! Server was well informed about ingredients of food, wine and drink selection and any other questions we had. Recommendations were great!
Food is served quickly. Almost too quickly.
The brunch is excellent, good option at a fair price.
One in our party ordered their steak and eggs brunch and the steak was ordered Med Well and was Well done. Three ordered the short rib benedict and the poached eggs were poached hard with no part of the yolks runny. The last one in our group had the Cuban sandwich and their truffle fries which he declared the fries as best he ever had and the Cuban was quite tasty. Pricey for brunch as our check with 5 cocktails and tip was over $200.
Enjoyed our brunch with the kiddos for Father’s Day!
All four of us were of the same mind - exceptional food! The bacon appetizer was terrific -- we all got to sample 5 different flavors. Entrees were top-notch! The bone-in ribeye was mouth-watering good. The ladies' filet mignons were perfectly prepared. The ribs got two thumbs up. And we had a variety of wines (by the glass) to sample, including a delicious port to wrap things up. All in all it was one of the best dinners we've enjoyed since moving to Texas a few years ago!
Everything was amazing! The steaks were to die for! Definitely not a place to go if you’re in a hurry. They make the steaks to order so it can take 45-60 mins to get them after you order. Very worth it! Highly recommend the bacon tasting platter while waiting for steaks.
Came here for my fiancé’s birthday. The service was a little off...our main server seemed scattered and different server brought over the bacon sampling board but was very rushed in explaining what was on there. No one explained the items on the charcuterie. For the price point, there are better steakhouses in Dallas. Glad we tried it but prob won’t be back.
Way too much butter on the steak. Waitress was not knowledgeable on the menu.
