Always excellent food, wonderful ambiance and the best Bartender...Jenny...makes an awesome Martini. Great time!
Wonderful Dining Experience From The Minute We Walked In!
Had to come here for lunch the one day they were open for restaurant week. I’d had a bad experience years ago but this place has redeemed itself. The crab and corn chowder is excellent and the fish and chips fabulous. I will return. The place was mobbed and service much better than anticipated.
Went to K & F, (lunch) restaurant week, 2nd visit during this annual event. Decided to give it another chance since the first visit two years ago was just a so-so experience. Well it did not disappoint, it is still overrated! Reservation was for 11:30, we arrived at 11:15, and was told to wait in our car since it was too cold to wait outside. We did this, and at 11:30 we approached the entrance, the door was locked, and we waited outside in the cold, blustery winds for seven minutes. We were seated upstairs, which was okay, that is if you like viewing construction.
The music was too loud, asked to have it lowered, and the room temperature was quite cool.
We ordered corn/crab chowder, which arrived cold and was returned to be heated. The taste was mediocre, probably because the broth was very thin and lacked flavor. We then ordered the Kobe burger, which was also mediocre, and really not the delicacy expected. We wondered if it came from the specific breed of Wagyu Japanese cattle. It was not the $100.00 per pound
or more, that is truly Kobe. It was probably American, in which many of our products are labeled too liberally. The burger was juicy and cooked exactly as ordered. However, we added ketchup to "tame" the taste. The smashed fingerling potatoes served as a side, were outstanding! The dessert trio sampler was excellent. So the meal improved with each dish.
Our server was friendly and attentive. There is some serious tweaking that needs to be
addressed at the Knife & Fork. ........... Amen to that restaurant!
Awesome food with some friends
Knew this restaurant was there for many years, never ventured there, until now. So sorry i waited this long. What a great meal and better ambience. Check it out for yourself.
It was a little cold by the windows upstairs. Had to send my Steak back it rare and not medium.
Dined here for restaurant week. Very enjoyable experience. Our service was attentive and our food was prepared well and was delicious. Would definitely come back again
The food is always exceptional. Didn't realize it was restaurant week in AC, so it was an exceptional value as well.
Wonderful food, awesome server....very attentive!!! Would go back again!!!
The evening was very good but crowded and slightly noisy. It was restaurant week so it's understandable.
Excellent ambiance, delicious food, and a great staff. Definitely worth trying at least once.
Great food, service and venue!
Excellent food. Excellent service. The ambiance was perfect for a nice relaxing evening out.
Meal was average, service and ambiance was good. There is so many restaurants in Atlantic City I’m not sure if I would rush back. The crab & corn soup and the white chocolate cheesecake was incredible. The aged steak had no flavor and the calamari was ehh.
Hands down the best cocktails, dinner selections and service in the area.
The food is incredible and I continue to go here as my go to restaurant for any reason.
My friend and I visited during restaurant week and it was the best choice that i could have made! The food was delicious, nothing short of amazing! I ate everything that was on my plate!! The host was lovely and our waitress was exceptional! I have dined here before years ago and I didn’t know that there were 3 floors, we were on the third floor and the space was very private and very cozy. I loved everything about my experience.
Everything was awesome! Can't wait to come back!!
My daughter and I were in Atlantic City for a mini vacation and were lucky enough to be there for Restaurant Week. I chose the Knife and Fork because I had been there previously and enjoyed it very much. It did not disappoint the second time! The choices were wonderful and the food was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that I know that are visiting Atlantic City.
Not the Latz s Knife and Fork disappointing food
Went to Knife and Fork for restaurant week. Have been looking to going here for some time. Last time we were in town there were no reservations available. The restaurant is one of the oldest in Atlantic City and it was fun waiting by the bar with it's metal ceiling tiles. We ate on the third floor, no elevator, long walk up. It's hard to believe this restaurant is owned by the same owner as Dock's Oyster House which is our AC favorite. The filet mignon here is nothing compared to Docks which is a much more tender cut. I felt the service was not what you would expect here, maybe they pre-judged us based on restaurant week. The sides were weak: fried potatoes and woody broccolini. The salad could have used a touch more dressing. The banana cream pie and bread pudding were ok, but nothing special. I guess nothing could compare to Emerile's banana cream pie.
Good food and services
Fined at this establishment for the first time on a Monday. I had an overall awesome experience! Staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was fantastic!! I will definitely be returning!
Food was really good. A throwback to another time with traditional dishes.
Excellent from start to finish. Drinks, apps, meals, desserts and great service very knowledgeable about all menu items!
Everything was delicious except the specialty cocktail made with Proseco and some kind of orange liquer. It doesn't taste very good. It ruined the flavor of the wine instead of enhancing it. Take it off the menu. It was the only disappointment of the night.
Everthing was wonderful. We had a selection of appetizers ranging from lollipop lamb chops, a BLT Iceberg salad, the bacon, the Kobe sliders and the lobster bisque. They are also tasty. Each person loved what they ordered. For dinner we had the filet mignon Oscar, the salmon over butternut squash, the stuffed veal chop, and the pork chop all cooked to perfection. We even had some dessert.... the banana chocolate burrito and the key lime tart topped with tasty coconut ice cream. Delicious
The food is pricey but very tasty.
It is always one of the best dining experiences in AC. Great ambience, food and service!
Awesome. Love this place!great for lunch, dinner or cocktails.
The Knife and Fork is my kind of place. Great history as a speakeasy and the present owner has preserved the building and interior to be similar to when it was built in 1912.
My wife and I had the Knife and Fork dinner which consisted of corn chowder, fresh mozzarella with tomato salad, and lobster thermador with a petite filet. The lobster is their signature dish and it was delicious., in fact, all of the food was presented beautifully and was delicious.
Our server was outstanding and it was apparent that he had considerable experience as he knew the wine list, was very helpful with the menu, and we knew right away he was an “A’ player. He checked on us just enough and I rate his service as A+.
Honorable mention goes to the hostess. She checked on us also.
This is an excellent place to dine and we will return on our next trip,to Atlantic City
Excellent choice for main course rack of lamb was cooked perfectly
Our appetizers of duck confit on spinach was probably the best we’ve had in a long time
I love onion soup but not a lot of cheese, they put on as little as possible so I was able to enjoy the delicious broth
The quail was spot on fried to perfection
Unfortunately we were to full to try any dessert
We will definitely dine here again
Our waitress was Bridget a pure gem. It was quite obvious she’d been there a long time and enjoys her job
Entertained long time friends visiting the area. Food was well prepared. The lobster thermidor was amazing and the rack of lamb tender and flavorful. Service was attentive and efficient. We were disappointed not to be seated in the upstairs dining room (we hoped to show our firends the mural)but it was rented for an event. However, the small dining room behind the bar was cozy and comfortable. Overall, wonderful dining experience.
Wonderful staff and food was amazing.
A wonderful restaurant with a long-standing reputation for their menu that I can now confirm firsthand. Our foursome all noted that the food was outstanding - simply delicous!
Great service, very good food, a nice night out.
Came here with a larger party for my brother's birthday. The restaurant was great in accommodating us on a Saturday night. The food and service were great. They also let us bring in a birthday cake which was nice. I would certainly recommend and look forward to returning myself.
First time at Knife and Fork and won’t be our last. We were a group of 10 celebrating our son’s departure for the army the next day. Had a private room... what a great surprise. Great service and good food. We tried all kitchen nds of appetizers and desserts and were not disappointed. Entrees were excellent and there was a good size portion for the price.
The food and service was excellent. I had the Lobster Thermidor and my wife had Short Ribs. They were both cooked and presented perfectly. Our waiter and her assistants were very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning again soon.
