Knife & Fork Inn Ratings and Reviews
We had a wonderful time. We began with a drink in the quaint bar. It was quite so conversation was easy. Once taken up the beautiful staircase we were greeted by our server immediately. The food was outstanding, the set exceptional and the atmosphere perfect.
The Knife and Fork is a “must” when we are at the Jersey Shore. The food is consistently excellent. The wine list — top notch and the service is friendly and eager to please. Even when we want a lighter bite, like apps and a drink, we love sitting at the bar. The apps are large enough to put a couple together for a full dinner. It’s worth it!
I found that my 2nd time in coming to the Knife & Fork was not as good as the 1st time. I wanted the Chicken Milanese, only to find it was made with a chicken leg. Not very appealing. Was very much in the mood for it. Never had it made with a chicken leg before.. The service was outstanding. Could not ask for better service.
Valet parking was a big plus on a very cold night. Hostess was not particularly friendly, did not offer to take coats from guests even though everyone was bundled up. Seated promptly at nice table with view of the Avenue. Excellent waitress greeted us and offered drinks, which were delicious and well made. Food was very well prepared for the most part. Onion rings could have been left in fryer for another minute but still tasty. Winners were the Duck Leg Confit and Crab&Corn chowder appetizers. Two guests ordered and enjoyed the Seared Four Spice Tuna. I liked my Stuffed Veal Chop very much, would definitely order again. Our other guest ordered the “Knife and Fork Dinner”. An omage to the original menu. A winner with expertly prepared Lobster and Filet. The only complaint he had was the ridiculous claim to be serving Jersey Tomato. In August this might be great but perhaps a seasonal change would be appropriate when Jersey tomatoes are not available?
Overall a very good meal was enjoyed by all. With a couple of tweaks it could be outstanding.
This had to be one of the best veal chops I have had in the city in a long time. This place has it all class, atmosphere, and most off all service. Our server was 100/100 , he knew every items and every cocktail they had to offer. He even knew good vegetarian options for my wife. I am reaching here when I say I found one problem and only one problem. I am REALLY reaching but I noticed one of the servers check what tip she got from one of the other tables, since this was not my server I did not care to mention anything. Like I said I was reaching to find something wrong, other then that tiny little detail this is one of the best gems in Atlantic City.
The Knife and Fork provides the best value of any steakhouse in Atlantic City. The price points of their appetizers, entrees, and side dishes are very reasonable in relation to the quality of the food and the excellent service which you are provided.. The servers are long tenured which suggests that this restaurant has a steady and consistent clientele to keep it in business and enable the wait staff to earn a decent living. The bar scene is quite vibrant and the free valet parking makes this an extremely convenient choice for those traveling by car.
We were very disappointed. We usually go to Docks Oyster House which is owned by the same people. We always wanted to try a Knife and Fork so we took our son and his fiancée before she played with Manheim Steamroller in AC. The waitress was mediocre at best. She said to get steak if you like it, as theirs was the best. I had two bites of filet that was all gristle. My husband did not like his strip steak. I was so mad at myself for not sticking to Docks, which is top notch from the servers to the food.
Fabulous night out with our clients. Very impressive dinner and they loved the way the restaurant was decorated. Being from Northern Jersey, they are use to the fan fare. Now they can go back home and tell everyone that they were at the Best Restaurant in AC! Our compliments to Knife and Fork for a job well done! See you soon!
