The one reason I would not recommend and probably won't return is that the menu is so limited. I should have looked at it closer when making the reservations but there are so few meal choices available and we do like options. So in my mind, I wouldn't see a reason to come back. The place was beautiful and the staff was great but the food is why we were there.
Why an overall rating of Fair, when food and service were really good. Because it took them 15 minutes to work out the check, and this when no one else was finishing up. The waitress kept coming back to apologize, but no real explanation was offered, so the entire meal experience was ruined.
Overall, the food was delicious. It's a nice little restaurant inside this lovely hotel resort. We actually had a Groupon so I can't objectively talk about the value other than to say I don't know how I would've felt if I'd had to pay full price for it. But forgetting that, Amy was our waitress and she was flawless. It was such a breath of fresh air to be served by somebody who clearly loves their job, loves the food, loves working there. We started with the delicious salad with roasted corn and chicken and vegetables. The house ranch is delish. We split the scallops and the skirt steak. Both were wonderful. The only part of the meal that didn't really exceed our expectations was the desert. It was a peach cobbler and it was just OK. Overall, I absolutely would go there again. Hopefully, I wouldn't be paying. :-)
We were really excited to try this place after all of the glowing reviews, however, it was a disappointing experience. Our salmon and scallops entrées had no flavor, and the sides were small and nothing special. The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread and tomato jam, but we did not get it before our meal and had to ask for it, which we finally got to taste near the end of the meal.
The food was very good. The complimentary bread and tomato jam and caramelize onions were good as an accompaniment The flat iron steak and hamburger were good and the bread pudding was excellent. Enjoyed the Joel Gott wine. The service was excellent. Jaya our server is lovely .
Will definitely return for the Artisan Grilled Cheese. We were most unhappy with the martinis. The glass was only half-full. The waitress tried to claim the glasses were large. Okay, if the restaurant charges $10, it wouldn't have been so bad. But at $15 apiece, the glasses should have at least been 2/3 or 3/4 full! Will have a martini at home and order a beer with the grilled cheese. Booze shouldn't be 60% of the bill when only 2 out of the 3 in the party are drinking.....
We enjoyed a New Year's Day brunch with family who we were visiting. Everything was great, service excellent and food was very good. The variety was impressive and enjoyable.
The website and online menus indicated we would have choice of buffet, ordering from the menu, and /or adding part of the buffet. This was not the case and we were disappointed at being misled.
Our waiter was excellent, food wonderful, delicious wine. I'd like the option of a more intimate, romantic experience. It's more like cafeteria seating. The chairs have very wide, high backs that make it somewhat uncomfortable if you turn in the chair. The decor is very nice and we've had multiple good experiences there, but the old world charm of the resort isn't there in the restaurant. Bring back the a la cart breakfast please. Breakfast buffet was only ok.
This restaurant is well worth the visit!!! We had an amazing meal, wonderful service - no stone left unturned. The mole meatball appetizer with naan bread was amazing, 8 oz steak was cooked to perfection and mouthwatering! I'm so glad we were able to experience this culinary gem!
The menu was very unique and fun. Some very different items and all of them were prepared well and were really tasty. We had our son with us and he enjoyed the food as well!
A pleasant surprise versus the last meal we had there before the remodel. We would highly recommend!
Wonderful experience. They were very accommodating when we showed up with 2 extra people for a 3 person reservation.
My husband and mother raved about the prime rib. I had a vegetarian option, potato pancakes and vegetable hash, which was very flavorful. The drinks were great, although I wish they had a better selection of gin.
Overall, the service and food warrant a second visit.

I actually picked this place because it looked so amazing that I just wanted to come hang out here! Well it does not disappoint!
The buffet was generous and luxurious, and it was so nice to have a holiday meal where I wasn't rushing around prepping and cooking all day! It had a bit of everything so that everyone was accommodated, no matter their tastes.
The restaurant was empty. They brought out a complimentary flat bread and accommodated my wife's dairy allergy by bringing a 2nd one with no butter. We ordered the salmon chop and the fish special. The salmon chop was loaded with bones. When we addressed the server she said that is why it is called a "chop" because it has skin and bones. The special fish was a bit over cooked and the kale salad was too salty to eat. We would not return here.
We tried this place on a whim and I'm so glad we went! It was so good and also a great value!

The food was stunning. The shrimp and grits was in my top 3 I've ever had! The pork chips was awesome. The vegetarian offering was delicious with great flavors all around. Everything was well balanced. They also offer a pleasant wine list and cocktail menu. The bread pudding was also a great way to finish the meal.
My only concern would be the noise level. It was pretty loud with noise from both the kitchen and bar echoing off the hard, flat surfaces and the tile floor. I would have liked it to have a little bit more conversation level noise.
