About
In the Summer, savor the spectacular view while sitting on the terraced patio next to a fireplace overlooking our sparkling swimming pool.
The menu is limited and a bit pricey, but service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The setting is appealing on a covered patio and the tables well spaced for a quiet meal. We ordered several small plates to share and especially liked the scallops and the caprese salad. Would return. The feeling here is more refined than the rustic, lodge-type dining which we often enjoy in the area.
Food was amazing, and the staff was knowledgeable. Kitchen was right out with the seating, so you fell involved in the preparation of your meal!
Beautiful setting sitting outside! Staff and food were both amazing!
Great food and atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly.
Our dinner at the Chalet View Lodge was absolutely outstanding. The salads were fresh, and the caprice salad was the best I have EVER had. My filet was beyond superb: perfectly cooked and complimented with excellent veggies. My wife had the sea bass, and it, too, was delicious. The service extremely personable and responsive. It is too bad that the Chalet View Lodge closes the dining room on 1 October (seasonal). We are definitely going back in the Spring. The restaurant rivals anything in Reno or Tahoe!!
We were staying at the Chalet View Lodge and had read the excellent reviews for Kitchen+Bar so decided to try it our first night. The outdoor dining was very comfortable after a hot day, the service was excellent and engaging, and the food was very interesting and delicious. Every dish down to the dessert and coffee were exceptional. We shared salads and entrees to enjoy it all together.
Our second night at the lodge we found no reason to go anywhere else so explored other options including the pizza of the day which was pork belly & fig. It was amazing and the crust was a major star in its composition, although, more pork belly is always a good thing.
Great experience all around. We would definitely return.
Wonderful and Delicious food a,great atmosphere, quiet!!!!!!!!
Excellent from beginning to end.
This place never fails to inspire and succeed at taking their food to the next level. From Appetizers to Deserts, Cocktails to Wine or Beer, no matter what you order you will not be disappointed.
They provide a dining experience, not just a meal, the locals are I. Dire need of a place to enjoy fine dining and if they ever find out about this place, you WILL need to make reservations!!
Excellent! Beautiful ambiance! Amazing, delicious food! Can't wait to go back!
Fabulous food, stunning atmosphere and top notch service.
Ambience and food was delicious. Most things were prepared in the out door Woodstove, best roasted vegetables! I saw a bloody mary go by and it look like a meal. Experience was so memorable! Really a perfect night.
Went for a Fourth of July Dinner with friends and family, and was blown away! The service was outstanding! I felt genuinely cared for at every step, from the drink recommendations to the timing of ordering and bill presentation at the end. The food was fantastic. The ravioli appetizer, the chicken entree and the steak were standout favorites at the table. Never an empty glass and always a warm smile from everyone who helped make our dinner special. The view and ambiance were beautiful. Like a page out of John Muir's journal, the environment was breathtaking, balmy, cozy, and unforgettable. A true summer night in the trees. Special thanks to Alex and Shawn for making us feel like family, I will continue to return and share this woodsy gem with everyone!
We recently stayed at Chalet View Lodge for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant for 2 of those. The menu is not vast, but everything on it is really good and there is a nice balance of fish, chicken, meat and vegetarian options. The chef is young and energetic and his passion for food shines through. The staff are friendly and there is a decent wine list,
The food was amazing... I had one of the best dinner services that I've ever had. Worth the money spent, very chic, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful place to eat if you are staying at the lodge.
Excellent food, only one cook so food was a bit delayed but really worth the wait. Staff was courteous and friendly. We will definitely be back!!
The food was delicious, our whole family even the kids loved it. The service was great but the wait time on food was a little lengthy. Hard when we planned a later dinner with kids.
We ate here because we were staying at the lodge and they had a deal that bundled dinner with the room. I have to say we were very skeptical because the "restaurant" is in the lobby. We thought it would be an actual restaurant on the premises but its actually just a small kitchen and the dining tables are set up right across from the front desk. We were pleasantly surprised!! The meal was delicious and we enjoyed the wine so much that we got a bottle to go for our room. We both had the rib eye and we loved it! The waitress/bartender was friendly and helpful as well. You can't beat the convenience of it! I wouldn't recommend this place just for dinner but if you are staying at the lodge its a great option.
The ambience was great, we sat right next to the fire place. It was very quiet, so we could have a conversation. The food was so-so, I really didn't feel like it was anything really special. But for the only restaurant at the lodge, I'd say overall it was a pretty good experience!
The restaurant at Chalet View Lodge was charming, quaint, and absolutely delicious. It is not cheap, however the food was outstanding. We ordered the ribeye steak and the pork chop and they were both savory and yummy. I recommend the ribeye steak for sure! But both were a good choice. I was really looking forward to trying their duck, however they ran out of it.
The restaurant is just in the lobby of the lodge right across from the check-in desk. This actually didn't take away from the charm like I thought it would. We celebrated our anniversary there and I thought it was perfect. You could make it as casual or fancy as you like. We chose to dress a bit more nicely, however we would have been fine in jeans and casual clothes.
We did start at the on-site brewery, Eureka Peak, for drinks since there were no drafts at the restaurant, only bottled beers and cocktails. No drink menu either, so you have to have some sort of idea of what you'd like to drink.
During the winter, the back patio is closed so there is limited space to dine, but since it was not crowded at the lodge, it was not a problem. But I can see this being frustrating during busier seasons.
Overall, it was a nice on-site restaurant that impressed me more than I thought it would. It is not open every night, which is a bit inconvenient, but if your travel dates fall on the days it's open, definitely check it out!
The ambiance was great, and the service was friendly and accommodating, not to mention great steak and duck dishes.
Tasty rib eye. No bread. Salad extra but I couldn't eat all the steak so took home.
The food was innovative and the taste was excellent. The ribeye was one of the best I've ever tasted. The pumpkin duck pizza was unusual yet delicious.
Limited menu. Frozen pizza dough. Pizza loaded with cheese. Salad fresh. Grilled veggies were good.
