Sun 10:00 am–7:00 pm
Had the specials. Lamb shank for my date and steel head trout myself. Borth dishes were very good and reasonably priced
First let me start by saying I am in the hospitality industry and all about great service ( the food here is usually AMAZING) ( NOT THE CASE THIS TIME) which is why I chose here to entertain certain clients of mine both leisure and business. This particular time was both a client of mine who has become a friend came up a couple days earlier as I wanted to treat her to a early Christmas dinner and show in the city as her gift this year.
I was VERY disappointed this time however. The service was not what I normally recieve or expect! We had to ask for the specials of the day. Our bread was hard. My salmon was NOT cooked throughout it was RAW and the crab meat was FROZEN on top. My side of mac and cheese tasted as if it had sat for a while. I wouldn't be surprised as I had to ask someone to grab our server since he had not come to check on food after it had been brought to the table. To let him know my meal was incomplete.
Her pasta chicken dish was over done, dried out and flavorless and she felt as if they wanted us out and we were being rushed out.Her being from NC, all she knows is southern hospitality and she couldn't have felt more unwelcomed.
We had to ask to see a dessert menu and if we could get cappuccino's. I worked think normal practice is to ask.
She told several of the servers numerous times that she was not finshed her appetizer and they Kept trying to take it!
I have been here several times and was beyond disappointed and embarrassed.
I hope to hear from someone.
Kitchen 519 is hidden gem in South Jersey.
We were looking for a quick bite as we passed thru the area. The Open Table reviews seemed too good to be true.
Au Contraire... The ambiance is eclectic with lots of wall art for purchase. It reminds me of a small village cafe that we dined at on the southern coast of Spain.
If you like fresh, great tasting food with a twist then this is the place for you. I had a moist and flavorful pork sandwich accompanied by the best arugula salad lightly dressed with fantastic vinaigrette. DH had Korean BBQ crispy & tender calamari stir fry. Lunch prices were great & the service was amazing. We will definitely be back.
This place is great for food items not ordinarily seen at other restaurants. Blackened Cobia and bbq duck breast are on the menu. Specials are also good. Had the cobia and it was delicious.
Very tasty food, good service, great value. I recommend the buffalo cauliflower and the pineapple fried rice. The lavender creme brule was amazing.
Awesome food went for brunch wouldn't have thought of buffalo chicken and waffles but it was delucious. My fiancé had the banana walnut pancakes a little burnt on bottom but still were also outstanding. Great place for byob brunch
Discovered this restaurant on Yelp and felt all the good "reviews" deserved a trip. Everything they said on Yelp was absolutely true. Food was very good with interesting menu and service was excellent from the receptionist when I stated I had an open table reservation to the rest of the staff. We certainly will be a returning diner. Thank you Kitchen 519 *
Kitchen 519 is a small out of the way place that with have you talking to everyone you know about it!
Food was excellent as always. Service was a little off. I think we had a new waitress.
I've been to 519 on a number of occasions so I expect the food and service to be good and this visit was no exception! My friend and I each had the Pulled Pork sandwiches (which they smoke on premises) and were very satisfied and the salad that comes on the plate was real tasty too! The fries with 3 dipping sauces was a large serving to share and we had to make our server take the balance away as we were eating ourselves into a coma! Nuf said? Eat here!!!
Kitchen 519 never disappoints. I’ve eaten here at least half a dozen times for dinner but this was our first time for brunch. We had the banana walnut pancakes and the breakfast BLT on Texas toast. The food was perfectly prepared and reasonably priced. This brunch is every bit as good as the many brunches we’ve had in the NYC area.
Was in search for new place to try and glad we did! Every dish going by looked great and ours was excellent, along with the Walnut pesto and bread. Even tried the dessert and definitely worth the calories, bread pudding was amazing
This was our third time dining here. As with each time, the staff is absolutely wonderful the food excellent and the prices reasonable. We always enjoy the ever-changing art on the walls and the menu options. This was our first time dining on a Saturday night and our only criticism is that it gets very loud and difficult to hear those you are dining with; which of course causes you to talk louder, which increases the sound level even more. Other than that keep, up the good work!!
The food was fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Never a bad meal or service !!! We’ve dined here over 12 times and enjoyed every visit. John’s food is delicious; Diana’s service & hospitality is outstanding.
We had not had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen 519 before, and selected this restaurant after looking thru reviews on Trip Advisor and Open Table, and needing a place close to the NJ Turnpike to meet friends who were driving to Florida. And we are glad we did! All was great - food, service, atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I get hummus every time I’m out as an appetizer. The one at Kitchen 519 was runny. For great hummus check out Zahav in Philly. My friend got a Chicken Caesar Salad who said was good. They forgot the chicken at first but no biggie. The fries were delicious. Buffalo Cauliflower was ok too. But I like Leaf’s in Haddonfield better. Overall it’s an ok place. Could use an update inside. The blue wall needs a paint job.
Very nicely varied menu, terrific food and service. Will definitely visit again!
I invited an out of town friend to meet me here. As always, an excellent, fresh and filling meal with friendly efficient service
Cute place had hope when we got there bread and oil were great!! Then I had hummus my husband had wedge absolutely no taste! I had Fried chicken lovely piece no taste no salt on anything husband had crab cake burned on top and an awful tasting siracha. We didn’t complain because it just wasn’t that bad just not going back
Caprese Pasta was swimming in oil on my plate. Pork sandwich, no good.
Disappointed in my dinner twice in a row now.
But the grilled Ceasar Salad is very good.
Food was amazing! Service was great. We will definitely be back soon.
Love this restaurant. Small and a bit noisy but the food is consistently fresh and good. Service is always good.
Always a great dinner at Kitchen 519...they never fail!
Everything is always fantastic. My steak was cooked incorrectly twice and was more than made up for by the waiter. This will not stop me from coming back, definitely my go to restaurant.
First time to Kitchen 519 and hope to be back soon. The most friendly staff I have ever encountered. They are warm, friendly and were very attentive. The food was great!
First timer. Small crowded room set up to seat as many as possible. Service was adequate but not great. Food was very good. Probably will go back, but not on a Friday.
Great restaurant!!! Our waiter was wonderful, helpful and attentive but unobtrusive. I went with his suggestion of the fish special and it was amazing! My friend had the best burger, and her daughter had chicken. Just delicious all around. We saved room for desert, and I had the chocolate chip cookie in the cute little iron cast skillet. Yum!!!
Try this place- you can’t go wrong!
I enjoyed the food and would go back to try something else.
This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. A basket of delicious bread, accompanied by dipping oil and spices, was brought to the table as soon as we were seated. My husband and I shared the Hoisin Calamari as an appetizer. It was one of the best calamari appetizers that we've tasted. Our entrees were a special of the night, a jumbo lump crab cake and a 6 oz. filet, with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and a delicious salmon entrée, served on a bed of mashed yucca with an avocado salsa on the side. We were too full to order dessert...on this visit, but I look forward to trying one of the selections in the very near future.
Had wanted to try this restaurant for some time so when the opportunity to have a family breakfast arose we made a reservation. Seating was a little tight as we were a larger party and the restaurant was crowded. They do have booths which I would definitely request next time.
Our waitress was pleasant, friendly and efficient. The kitchen may have been backed up as it did take longer than usual for our breakfast to arrive. The breakfast/brunch menu was extensive and varied Everyone in our party was satisfied with their meal.
We had an enjoyable experience at Kitchen 519 and will return.
Pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious, waitress was nice. BYOB due to house wine not excellent. Looking forward to next meal there.
Our first time visiting but have heard many good things about it from friends. It definitely lived up to the hype. Not a fancy place so don't worry about dressing up. It doesn't need to be fancy as the food is the star of the show. We had a party of 7 and we were well taken care of. There are many food choices for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans, glutton free, etc. I ordered the crab cakes which were light and delicious. Others ordered swordfish, jackfruit and chicken. All were delicious. They do serve wine but you can BYOB. Highly recommend. We will be returning soon.
Excellent as always. Incredible & creative food! GET MY PERKS app has $25 for $50! See Yelp for full reviews!
The freshest ingredients and unique dishes around. You also cannot beat the value and the service, never disappoints.
Went there for lunch, as I was getting tired of going to the diner all the time. The wife and I have never been there, so I figured it would be the best time to do so. When you walk in, you kind of walk through/past the kitchen and into the dining room. The room is spacious, but not big, but not crowded either.
My wife had a salad, while I had the lump crab cake. For the amount of food, it was a little pricier than I expected, but not over the top. The crab cake could have been a little bigger, while my wife's salad was pretty big.
This is definitely a place we will be back to, and I look forward to trying out other items from the menu.
Kitchen 519 is an absolute gem. Discovered it a few years ago. One of my two favorite restaurants. F is excellent, farm to table, scratch kitchen. Everyone is very friendly and professional and knowledgeable. They also have great prices. Always impressed. Love the feel and vibe of the place.
Our waiter Tom is the best, he is very attentive, great personality and when he noticed my meal was not cooked the way I requested, he made sure it was right before he served it, while my meal was a little delayed I really appreciated his attention to detail. The food and service is always top notch!
