Kitchen 305 Ratings and Reviews
It was a great match: The lobster all you can eat and Norma, our waitress. The lobster was tender and very tasty. Norma came to our table very often to ensure we had everything we needed. If you want to eat lobster in Miami-Dade, come to the Newport Resort in Sunny Isles. Kitchen 305 is the restaurant with daily culinary themes. Excellent.
it is very touristy and casual. Most of people went for the all you can eat King Crab on Friday so the restaurant is more of a seafood Golden Corral, if you are into that, you will like it. Not so much for a romantic, special occasion. This is more informal. Waiters super busy and not having enough time to clean the booths or tables properly. They take time to come to you. Our glasses for water were very dirty and we wanted to try the Miami Spice menu, which was current and advertised online, they did not have it that Friday. Very nice service, staff though, very kind. Overall not disappointing but it was just fair. if you ask me, a little overpriced for what you receive, drinks and food wise, but the taste was good, average good. I recommend this for large groups or families not for an anniversary dinner which was our case.
Went to Kitchen 305 today for the all you can eat king crab legs that they do on Fridays. Lobster bisque was AMAZING!!!!!! but the crab itself came up short the quality has gone down. I have gone before for the king crab and it has always been excellent, but today it was off. It was not the same quality I was accustomed to from kitchen 305 which is known for great quality.
Not enough staff. The bartender was the one who sat us down, took our oder, and served us. We waited for over 40 mins for appetizers alone. I most point out that this place was dead when we got there. Only three other tables were occupied. This place began to get busy after we had been there waiting to be served. The kitchen is visible from seating area and the chef apparently had his orders out of place and others that arrived after us were getting their appetizers first. They only have one chef and a helper. The chef appeared to be sweating bullets and only kept looking to our table. Same thing happened for the main course.
I felt sorry for the bartender he was running like a chicken with his head cut off. We were there almost three hours from the time we got there to the time we left. We didn't start getting our food until my wife brought it to the attention of the bartender. I have friends that swear by this place, but me personally this place was a one time experience only.
This is my second time at this restaurant for the Friday - All you can eat king crab legs.
For this purpose alone I would rate at 5. If you in the mood for king crab legs, this is the place to go to.
Live music is a little too loud. If you seated closer to the band, then you can barely hear each other.
Wow, this was a BIG disappointment. It was a birthday celebration and so we both dressed up after reading about this place. We entered a LOUD DISCO like main room and were shown to the 'quieter' back room, which boasted a 'view' . The view was of the pool with dozens of people literally in front of your face, kids screaming, etc.
The 'atmosphere' was of a beach side bar b q dive without any of the fun atmosphere. It was OUTRAGEOUSLY loud (one guy with a mixing board playing RIDICULOUSLY LOUD DANCE MUSIC, no one was dancing) while diners were actively screaming at each other to be heard. It was 'lobster' night and the Maine lobsters were quite good and it was 'all you can eat' which they certainly delivered. However, had I known this place was a hotel diner, I would NEVER have gone there (we drove from Ft. Lauderdale) and I don't think I have ever been so disappointed. Need less to say it was a one and done for us.
The floor was filthy and littered with napkins, the diners were in bathing suits and torn t shirts, the kids were all screaming with their international parents thinking this was cute (I guess as not one of them attempted to quiet their offspring)...all in all it's a HUGE skip.
If you are staying there and want a burger by the pool but in the AC...then perfect. If you want a nice dinner - forget it. That is not what this place is. It is a pool side diner and not a very good one at that, dirty, loud and overall all incredibly unpleasant. (but the lobsters were good, but not good enough to make up for the rest of the place....)
OH, and don't think about adding a tip. This is one of those places that assumes you are ignorant of dining out and they force an 18% tip on the tab...without telling you. Nice.
The service was horrible the manager who name was olesea was very rude and the food was horrible the restaurant was empty all nite and it took them forever to give us service my daughter evening was ruined thanks to the unprofessional team that u have to serve us I will never go again.
First off, very dark lighting but I don't mind that. What upsets me is that I clearly stated it was my husbands birthday in the reservation and they acted as if It was another revealed dinner night. Extremely upsetting! It was very empty and most waiters we watching the infamous soccer game. Paid 130+ For a meal that was easily no more than 80$ but whatever that's what you get for a restaurant on the beach none the less in the hotel. Def not coming back.
Terrible. If you enjoy being surrounded by selfie sticks and people arguing about their bill then you'll love this place. Service was slow, the wine list was a complete joke. I think they lure people into the hotel, which was also a disappointment, to try and sell them on vacation club deals and offer up all you can eat crab as part of the sales ploy. Void like the plague. The restraunt on the pier has Veuve at half the price if you want champagne and a decent wine list.
Been there on a few occasions for lobster dinner and enjoyed it. They suggested that we try Alaska King Crab dinner. A little more money but we were willing to try. BIG MISTAKE!
From the past we new not to sit close to the music and asked to be seated where we usually sat.....in the back room near the pool. That section was closed because they have a lot less clients for the crab dinner. So we sat at a nice booth and were excited to try the crab dinner. We had a nice waiter and ordered a bottle of white wine. The food came along with tools. These tools turned out to be useless. The crab legs are too soft to crack. Too thorny to hold onto. We tried ripping the claws with our forks to get at some food. It was a real struggle.
And then the live music started.....we were just anxious to leave with our splintered fingers and major disappointment.
Everything was excellent except we did not satisfied with the amount of food for the price we paid. The filet mignon was not an 8oz as it says on the menu. My husband was to be a chief before he became a nurse, so he knows the size of an 8oz steak, and there was not enough mash potato. Other than that, services were great and the server was excellent.
I arrived about 20 minutes late for my reservation, it was not a problem we were seated promptly. My 19 year daughter wanted to have a Daddy daughter night . We had come before with several friends. This time she requested just us two, We really had a ball trying to out eat each other. Maybe next time we will bring her brother and sister. The food was great and the service was amazing our lobster bowl was never empty.
I dined here for Lobster Wednesdays . The Lobster was great and I loved the music. The DJ was great and really made the atmosphere so much fun.
The service however was absolutley terrible. Our server (name tag read Williams) was so stressed the whole night and was not pleasant at all. We seemed like we were a bother, although we did not even ask for much. A smile and a little charm would have made our anniversary night so much more special.
I went with my boyfriend and another couple. The music was good but WAYYYY to loud. I had to rate the highest for noise and not in a good way because it was as really bad how loud the music was. We went on a Wednesday and got the "All you can eat Maine lobster". The lobsters were decent size but came with tasteless mash potatoes and what seemed to be days old corn on the cob. Service was good, server(can't remember his name) was quick and a little rushed but he was polite and kept glasses full and food on the table.
