Sweet egg omelets nigiri
Had a great preset Omikase at the bar. Amazing fish and great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
very loud. expensive. waited forever. good not great.
Great Japanese food. Service was also great. Would definitely recommend.
We absolutely love Kisaku both for the incredible food but also outstanding service. This last experience just solidifies Kisaku as my favorite restaurant in Seattle.
It was very good. The food was delicious and the staff were kind and attentive!
No one actually check the vaccine records so this is a bit surprise.
Quality of food was outstading, service was wonderful. First time visit and will absolutely go back
This was my first time eating at Kisaku since pre-pandemic times, and everyone in our part of 4 was thrilled!! Everything about the experience was excellent - we got the table I had requested, the food was as good as I remembered it being, the waiter (who said he was pretty new) was attentive and very pleasant, and we all got a small but delicious salad and a bowl of miso soup even with our lunch orders.
Is it possible that Kisaku is even better than before? Maybe! But I was also very pleased to see a few old faces among the employees there!!
If I could rate 0 I would. I was visiting and this place was available for dinner. We arrived a bit before our reservation and we're seated promptly and then.... Nothing. No one came to our table even though the tables around us were being helped. We sat there for about 15 mins before we decided to get up and leave. As we we're walking out, the owner or person in charge told us thank you for coming and my date let her know no one even came to our table to help us. About 10 mins later I get a text message from the restaurant apologizing for the service and offer a gift certificate to come back. Thanks, but no thanks.
I haven’t enjoyed sushi and tempura as much since my trip to Japan last year. The food was outstanding. Kisaku has the “it” factor that is so rare in US Japanese dining.
I took a friend to Kisaku for her birthday. I requested to sit at the sushi bar and was delighted they were able to accommodate. Since it was a birthday celebration, they made a red snapper nigiri for each of us. The preparation was delicious, to the point we ordered another.
The people are warm and friendly and went out of their way to make my friend feel special.
Just great food and great service
It took at least an hour from sit down to actually eating food for us to get our food. My roll pieces almost all fell apart so not rolled very well. It was over priced and I left still hungry.
They have a couple price fixed menu options so maybe that is the better way to go than a la carte which we did. Lots of nigiri and sashimi options and good quality fish.
Service wasn’t bad, just slow.
Not sure if I’d go again.
Yummy sashimi. Good and solid rolls.
Fresh and tasty, all servers masked. Would recommend to anyone.
Fantastic and reasonably priced omakase tasting menu. Everything was delicious, ambiance was great, and our server was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
Really nice. Food was terrific. When we were seated, however, we got the strangest comment. She told us when the next party was due to arrive. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation due to UW game traffic and parking, I’ll admit that. I’ve just never been told such a thing as I’m being seated: basically “hurry up and eat, ok? You are late.” As it was, we were out of there in plenty of time for the next guests to arrive. It was just a really awkward thing to say. I’ve waited for a few minutes for my table to clear so many times in my life…it’s kind of expected in a popular place on a Saturday evening isn’t it? Is this a new normal practice for restaurants? I sure hope not.
A blah exterior hides a hidden gem in Wallingford. The sushi was very good, the tempura was the best I've ever had, the service was good and it was not overly expensive. Highly recommended.
Great food and service. Parking in the area is not bad. Will go back again.
Kisaku was delicious! The omakase is incredibly priced and wonderful. Still thinking about that bite of king salmon nigiri :)
Been awhile since we’ve dined there due to pandemic- always a wonderful dining experience but they’ve upped their game even more! Love the nice touch of the sashimi served on ice!
Kudos to our server Vinh!!
The food was excellent, the service wasn't. We ordered the set Omakase menu, and it took an hour for our first course to arrive, but it was actually the 2nd course. Then, after more than 45 minutes, we got two courses (1st and 3rd) served simultaneously. It was weird. We were then offered our second course again although we had already consumed it a few minutes earlier. The same thing happened with our 3rd course - it was reoffered after we had consumed it. Overall, we spent more than 2.5 hours in the restaurant.
The food was superb. But the restaurant really needs to get its operations in order.
Was the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan! Highly recommend
Server was super friendly and helpful with every request
Wonderful, attentive service, and delicious food! The friendly servers were open to talking and answering questions. The food was very high quality at reasonable prices
The omakase nigiri set was delicious! I truly enjoyed every piece.
Wonderful Service and selection. Staff were wonderful and pleasant for my partner's birthday!
Booked this restaurant for relatives in town who were celebrating an anniversary. I hadn't been before but was very happy with the experience. Very pleasant service from the staff, food came timed out very quickly, the food was great and the fish tasted very fresh. From start to finish was a great visit, highly suggest recommendations and will surely be back.
A nice little neighborhood sushi joint. The prices were fair. Service was strained, but understandable during the busiest month in Seattle under A cloud of lingering COVID concerns. I won’t rave, but I would return.
Long time customer, noting decrease in quality, amount served and even inspiration by sushi chefs. Disappointed
Such a delightful experience at Kisaku last night. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Time flew as my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful meal in a wonderful restaurant!
Lovely meal. Wonderful Service
We were promptly seated at our reserved time. sushi and the rolls were good. The garlic butter on edamame was a total hit.
I was not satisfied with the service. I arrived 30 minutes earlier than the reservation time. They said the table was not ready, which was understandable. When I came back to the time, the table was not ready. It seems that they had some mess up with the reservations. I think I was seated 5-10 minutes after. Then, the server was not kind. She asked, what do you like to have for appetizers? I ordered one. After she took an order for the appetizer, she came back and asked, anything else do you like to order? Well, she sounded like if I am going to order more or not. Her tone of voice was condescending as well. After finishing eating, I got the bill that was not correct.
The food was great. However, I don't think I would recommend the place due to the service that I received.
Server was great, sake was good, food was tasty and well priced
Great experience as usual! Quality has always been spectacular and since the new ownership the quality of the food has just continued to up-level with more delicate flavors- we love it!
Great Japanese food reasonably priced. Service was efficient with all staff helping to serve guests’ needs.
Perfect evening, great food and service and lovely quiet setting. Perfect for a birthday celebration.
If you know a better value to quality place in Seattle, you're lying
Very fresh, quality sushi
