Felt safe dining during pandemic due to their safety protocol
Once again a wonderful experience of great sushi and signature dishes...enjoyed the restaurant week Omakase course and quenching Saki.
Fantastic food as usual. We have eaten here many times and the quality and preparation and service Remains the Same even during this difficult Covid time. They are very very safe & strict with masks, distancing, and no contact service. Highly recommend Kisaku.
We both had awesome starters! The ceviche and albacore sashimi with crispy onions were both great
The omakase was... not as good. There were several good pieces but there were a few things that were off. It’s not clear if they were Covid related (we will definitely try again post Covid)
1) There were two “nigiri” that were asparagus and avocado. Not a big deal, but they weren’t great and there was no indication on the menu
2) All 15 nigiri pieces were served at the same time, so the temperature was off. This seems small, but in my experience, serving pieces in small groups makes a noticeable difference
3) The cuts of fish were really thick. Some of the fish tasted tough because of this
So it was fine for a neighborhood sushi experience, and we’ll come back. But I think a few small tweaks would make a big difference!
Fish was not as fresh as usual
Great service, lovely food, nice atmosphere. A great neighborhood place.
incredible service, incredible food, incredible prices
Solid neighborhood sushi spot. Very nice service and the fish was on point. Nice selection and served at the proper temperature ( hard to find sushi not ice cold). Nice to dine in on sushi, much better than take out!
Great service, strong Covid precautions! Enjoyed our meal here.
Great food!
Great omakase option as well as other food. We really enjoyed how COVID compliant the staff was and enjoyed our delicious sushi. Would recommend the wild sockeye salmon. It's the best!
This is one of our favorite places before covid-19 and is still one of our favorite places after! Food is outstanding service is great and the Ambiance is perfect. We encourage everyone to support them.
Delicious sushi and great service
Great Covid place to go. Tables
Far apart. ...... follow the great Covid guidelines .
Sushi was good .... perhaps a bit below their norm
W all
That is happening these days . But still a good neighborhood sushi place
Great quality food and great service! I will definitely be back again!
Best Sushi in Seattle . Love the fresh (not farm raised) salmon choices!
Exceeded expectations! Very good sushi for a reasonable price! Better than some that charge a lot more lines up with sushi restaurants with $$$$
I was excited to dine in the restaurant for my son’s birthday. I think this place must be suffering a supply chain problem related to lockdown and Covid. The fish was just mediocre in quality. Did not reflect the great reviews before pandemic. We dined at the restaurant and they do a great job of keeping things safe. But u can’t order sushi a la cart. You have to order 1 of 3 options and they determine the type of sushi. I was disappointed but understood that. Much of the sushi came w small toppings but instead of traditional items like shiso leaf, lemon slice, or fish eggs, the salmon had a sickly sweet topping, another fish had a bit of spicy relish, and they overpowered the fish. Also, I didn’t appreciate the asparagus sushi or the avocado sushi. I’ve had better sushi at places where I took plates off a conveyer belt.
It was OK..
Our first dinner out since covid, were 10 min late and that was kinda a problem for them not the most accommodating or friendly, menu was limited pre set where you pick app/dinner/dessert, the food was all pretty average nothing to really wow us..
Server was very nice, all of us still getting use to a new routine..
Was good to be out tho..
Always good food, and friendly service. A great local place.
Best sushi in Seattle. We’ve been eating here for 12 years. We no longer live in Seattle, but we still make it a point to dine here whenever we come back in town. The freshest and most skillfully prepared sushi in the entire western coast of the USA.
This was was great, I would highly recommend.
Long time favorite for special occasions. Food presentation got an upgrade!
One caution note - they don’t have a liquor license - only wine and saki.
Delicious sushi, great sake choices, very helpful and friendly waiter
Affordable, relaxing, delicious! Took my S/O for Valentines day and we loved the laid back atmosphere. The Nigiri is the perfect size and temperature. Highly recommended.
Jason was amazing. We sat at the counter for our 19th anniversary and he served us the most mouth watering sushi. Such a delightful experience. Thank you and we will be back!
Good rice for the sushi and well-cut, fresh fish. Not inexpensive but not outrageous. Very pleased with the experience and will go again.
Server was attentive and friendly. Food was tasty except for when I realized I had a piece of paper towel in my sushi. They didn’t charge us for the sushi and was very apologetic. They gave us ice cream for dessert in the house. The sushi roll was excellent but couldn’t finish it after the paper towel was found.
Kisaku allowed our group to use the back room for dinner! They were very accommodating to our group. Our only regret is we didn't order enough food. Thanks Kisaku!
Superb service
Did Omakase at the counter. I love seeing the chef prepare the food, and it's fun to try all the different types of fish.
Usually we have the very best experience here. But this time it was super disappointing. The sever was rude when we asked about the white fish we were not familiar with. She was snotty when I inquired about any belly’s the chef might have.
It was very frustrating having a reservation and being sat in front of the door while several other tables were empty.
Very disappointing
The fish was fresh and delish. But again our server didn’t want to tell us what fish was what when it was brought to the table.
This is a Neighborhood place that is filled with families and children in the early hours. We went at 6:45 and it was loud and lots of kids. We were seated in a small back room with only 3 tables. We stayed there because it was quiet, but the ambience was awful. Once it got really busy the waiter was less attentive, but there were lot's of staff trying to keep up. My biggest disappointment was that we said it was our Anniversary on the reservation and there was no attention given to that at all. We would have loved a window table, which was available when we arrived.
The food was just OK....edible for sure but nothing spectacular.
The food was lovely as usual but our server mixed up our appetizer (forgot about it and what we ordered even though we reminded him) as well as our entree (got chicken instead of fish). Both order snafus were corrected and the final food delivered was tasty. The restaurant was loud as it was full on a Sat night. Some noise buffering would be nice.
We had a lovely lunch at Kisaku. Everything was so tasty, beautifully served, and at a very good price. There were many choices, and several adjustments were made for my companion who has several food allergies. Thank you for a fun outing.
Very fresh sushi and great service!
We shall return! NEW ownership.. might be better than before... definitely better!
Wonderful food and experience
Great food and great service as usual!
Everything was pretty much great! The server wasn’t rude, but they weren’t polite either...
