As one of the only female owned steakhouses, we continue the tradition of excellence in food and service in our restaurant. We welcome you to our newly renovated bar lounge which is reminiscent of old world Chicago, but with a modern touch. Enjoy a delicious meal in an iconic location with charm and history. Coulotte steak topped with monterey jack cheese and crispy onion rings on garlic buttered ciabatta bread. Served with lettuce and vine-ripened tomatoes with french fries

Terrible restaurant! If I could rate them a zero I would! The waiter was extremely rude, our seafood was freezing cold, the steaks were burnt on the outside and red on the inside! We weren’t able to be seated until 30 minutes after our reservation! And when we were finally seated the table was extremely small and wobbled. I have never been to such a terrible restaurant in my life!!
It took 30mins just for me and my fiancé to get bread, after that we received our food an hour after being there. I ask for my steak well done because I don’t eat raw meat and my steak came out med rare. My fiancé asked for chicken and mash potatoes his chicken was good but after sitting there for an hour they Finally tell us they’re out of mash potatoes so he had to settle for something else. I will not be returning.
It was gorribkr
Our waitress was extremely helpful. I enjoyed the food.
Great experience. Service was fantastic, recommend the scallops.
Bartender service was absolutely horrible
So disappointed. I have loved Kinzie for years, but this time it was awful. Our party of 6 was sat in a private dining room upstairs in what was basically an office space (and was extremely quiet) WITH another party of 6. Dirty Martinis came as warm glasses of straight vodka. Old fashioneds came as whiskey on the rocks with an orange wedge. Steaks had to be sent back twice. Not what I expect for $1,000. Next time I'll take my money to one of our many excellent options.
Food was good. Service was a bit slow maybe due to staff but pleasant. Would definitely visit again.
It was my birthday... the service, the food was great and Rafael awesome
The outside dining area was in the shade so it was rather chilly for lunch. Portable heaters would have been much appreciated. The food and beverage selection was a little pricey but of high quality. Our server was great (I.e., highly attentive, friendly, and helpful).
We had a very nice dinner quiet evening inside. The food was good and the service was outstanding.
The steaks were perfect, good flavor and tender.
There wasn’t a big variety to choose from, 2 of the 3 items I ordered were good but not good enough to make me want to come back. The server was awesome though!! If you go food the ambiance and service then you won’t be disappointed.
Didn’t honor reservation
Johnny an Mike were great as usual! Miss the mushroom strudel tho!!
A great place to have a date or gather with friends to have good food and good drinks.
I had a Great Birthday dinner! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks again Kinzie Chophouse!
We're operating in weird times and the restaurant ran out of baked potatoes which was a problem because two were ordered at our table. One was ordered by a carnivore as a substitute to the vegetable that came with her short ribs; the other was ordered by a vegan eater to go with her steamed vegetables. The restaurant somehow decided to give the last available baked potato to the short ribs person who had many options rather than the vegan who had limited options. It would have been great to have participated in that decision rather than to have it made for the diners at our table.
That's the less-than-happy part of this review. The rest of our experience was really good. The young man who greeted and seated us (blue suit and with an accent from another continent) was welcoming, gracious and professional. Our server, Rafael, was knowledgable and attentive. Our meals (steak, short ribs, pasta and vegetables) were all excellent although not piping hot. Most important, we felt that they were very attentive to new measures/guidelines intended to keep us all safe during the pandemic including masked staff, disinfecting tables between patrons and QR codes for the menu. A very good experience.
Awesome food and enjoyable outdoor eating. Excellent service as well.
It is a very nice restaurant, great services, but I think because of Covid-19 the food quality may not be the best (we ordered lamb lollipops and tomahawk steak and both were very dry, the scallops were amazing though). The outdoor seating is not exactly the best especially because it is located right below a train track so we had to stop our conversation every 5-10 for the train to pass since we can’t hear anything. Can’t blame them for that but should be taken into consideration if you’re planning on dining here.
Had a great time at Kinzie Chophouse. Food was amazing and value was great. Ambiance was low due to the crisis at the moment (coronavirus) but overall had a great experience.
Great choice of preparation methods/sauces for our filet mignon. Good variety of side dishes. Very attentive service.
It's the Chophouse, I know, but I ordered the burger. It was just alright. My in-laws loved the prime rib, and the pork chop look amazing that my wife ordered. Plus the lack of a kids menu (or smaller portions menu) prompted us to have to order the full size burger for our daughter. Fries were great, but the burger could use some work. Overall, I'd come back for steak or chops.
I've been to the Kinzie Chophouse multiple times but on this occasion they brought all the food out shortly after delivering our cocktails thereby rushing the entire experience. It also didn't help that my steak was a bit tough and not up to the restaurant's typical standards.
Great food, but disappointed that the calamari is no longer on the menu. Bring it back please!!
Good atmosphere and good food
Very disappointed in Kinzie's, this time, although it was very crowded, they seemed very ill prepared for the Allstar weekend and Valentine's day, basically they did NOT show they could handle it. Missing menu items, servers not knowing which items are missing, "ok sir we have that" and after a 35 minute wait, and surprise, we are out of that too..besides all that my order wasn't even good, 12oz bland steak, (no flavor) ..I may try to let you guys make it up Kinzie's...because my first time here was great
Was a cold non personal experience when checking in. We were on time for our reservation, were told to wait for 30 minutes before they pushed us toward the bar area. Food was okay. For the price there are better experiences I can find in Chicago.
The food was very good, but they were a little inflexible about the Valentine's Day special. It said it was $60 for the deal, but if you looked over the menu it really didn't save you anything. We asked if we could mix and match w/ it, but they said they couldn't. I understand if they make an exception for one they do for all. Our waiter was excellent, and the food was great as well. The experience wasn't one that would keep me away, but it was something I thought I would mention. Great restaurant, great food.
I had reservations for Valentines Day and i have to say, I was very impressed overall. Our server that night treated us very well, I wish i remembered his name. We started off getting the 4 cheese mac & cheese, and honestly..it was the best mac and cheese i ever had. i could not get enough. We also ordered oysters which were also pretty good. We then ordered off the Valentines Day menu with was 3 courses each paired with wine. The first was the lobster bisque which was delicious, steak and potatoes, and then finally dessert. Everything was great. I would def go back, even just for the mac and cheese! seriously. Great service all around. Perfect Date night.
The best in every way possible
The food was poorly seasoned and the options were limited due to Valentine’s Day being a busy occasion for the restaurant. Service was good but the food was below average in my opinion
Appetizer, main course side and dessert were all wrong or forgotten about. Service was terrible for average at best food.
Excellent food and great service
Upon arriving, the manager greeted me by name, as he had taken the time and effort to be familiar with the reservation list. After his warm personal greeting, I was seated in an area served by Max. In my opinion, Max is the consummate table server. He has a manner which is personable and welcoming, while being very knowledgeable of the menu items. In particular, I was impressed with the way he could suggest pairings. The wine that he recommended, for example, was not one that I would have first thought of, but which turned out to be perfect for the entree and sides that I had selected. Throughout the various courses, Max was always available, but never intrusive, again a great testament to his professionalism. From the service, to the excellently prepared food items, to the ambiance, this was truly a great dining experience!
Dessert was the weak link. Everything else was great !
Went there for my mother’s birthday. Staff was friendly and very attentive.
