55th Birthday celebration
For three of us food was mostly on point however my steak was a little over cooked and I didn’t send it back. Try the Brussels! Creamed Spinach has too much liquid. Drinks were slow to get to the table. Not sure why but service was off!
Excellent Steaks, well presented and explained! Service was outstanding....
I have been going here since college and have never been disappointed. Always have a problem in making a choice I like so much on their menu including their seafood and their chicken pot pie.
Kinzie was a great experience. Thank you Julien for making it fun and appetizing. Great front end steak display, service spot on, and the food was delicious.
Impeccable service and delicious food, as usual! This is always a favorite for a date night or special occasion. Staff was very accommodating to our little one in a high chair.
This was our first visit to Kinzie Chophouse and we will return! The service from Troy was impeccable and Susan Frasca delivers a creative, flavorful twist on classic entrees. The 25th anniversary Gold cut Ribeye filet rivals any steak! The Italian herb dinner rolls are perfect. Just a delicious experience
My boyfriend loves steak so for his birthday I gave him 2 options and he chose Kinzie Chop House. The food was AMAZING! Perfect portions and priced reasonably. The only thing I was not impressed with, was I had motioned to the server it was his birthday, and she clearly understood, and nothing was done. I don't know if Kinzie does stuff for birthdays but either way, that was a little disappointing. Otherwise it was a great experience and I've already spread the word. I would definitely return!
I had the crab cake sandwich for lunch and it was the best I've had. The remoulade had just enough spice (it comes on the side) and the pretzel bun was a good twist. I came here for a business lunch with a few clients and it was a good location with good food options, very respectable yet friendly -- I just thought it was a little on the noisy side. I'd give it a 4.5 if possible.
Awful dry overcooked salmon. They don't know how to cook fish.
Great customer service. Our waiter was very attentive and provide great service.
Chose this restaurant for its menu (steak!) and reputation...and was not disappointed! Our server (Kelsey) was outstanding and the food was off-the-charts delicious!
Went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. There were seven of us. We couldn't have been treated better. The experience was quite special. Awesome Table. Fantastic service. Waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. You'll be back. We've been to the Gibson's and Fleming's in this was by far the best
Love this place! Best Cobb & aged cheeseburger & halibut in the City. Great food & service.
Great food and great service.
Once again, a phenomenal meal and experience at Kinzie. Our absolute favorite when visiting Chicago for almost 20 years.
Rob and rest of staff was great as usual. Always feel welcome.
Looking forward to our next visit.
The Steak was above average and it was prepared exactly as requested. There is a good selection of sides and the ones we chose were delicious.
Booked a table and arrived on time but had to wait 30 minutes to sit down - went to wait in the bar and had to wait ages to be served
Had the small filet, with the Giant baked potato! It was terrific as always. A+ service and waited and had several drinks in the bar area.
Kinzie Chophouse is my go-to restaurant for their great food, great service and great atmosphere. The owner Susan is wonderful and really cares about her customers!
My 8 oz. Filet, ordered as "Medium well" was thoroughly well done and a bit bland from a seasoning perspective. My wife's 6 oz. Filet, ordered as "Medium" was medium-rare and also a bit bland. For our Anniversary (43 yrs) they did provide a delightful dessert at no charge.
I had a large group (8) people, when I arrived they were very pleasant and seated us quickly at a long table.
The food was fabulous, order the baked potato.
Love this restaurant! We went to celebrate my graduation and the staff always know how to recognize a special occasion. My whole party had excellent food and the service was very attentive. Couldn’t have asked for better!
To start off our evening we had the Kalahari which was very good... had it gotten there sooner it might have been a tad bit better. The food over all was very good but the service is rough. For being a “high end” restaurant the service does not meet the price of the food. The atmosphere was pretty food. The food was nothing to complain about but the service just wasn’t good. I mean you could go to a lot cheaper restaurants for the price and have 10x better service.
Ambience was great but what I ordered turned out very good as well.... Goat Cheese Salad - Add 3 Grilled Scallops...
Had a very nice lung at Kinzie Chophouse. They have an array of sandwiches at lunch time. The meatball sandwich was quite good. Don't miss the calamari appetizer as they were well done - very light and airy.
Steak was cold and didn’t taste right. Broccoli was great, but was way too much - not a side dish. Tables way too close together - difficult to walk. Server was great.
Phenomenal experience. Beautifully paired filet and Cabernet. Wonderful experience.
This local but famous stakhouse serves prime steaks, wet or dry aged. I had dry aged, and my friend chose wet one. Delicious either.
Caveat against amazing appetizers!
We took Gorgonzola mushroom pie, pictured, and fried calamari. It was too much portion for us, but we could not stop eating.
Desserts were average alike other prime steakhouses serve.
Receptionist and servers were very friendly and attentive.
Had not been to Kinzie Chop House in probably 5 years. Don't know why I waited so long to return! Food was phenomenal. Service was exceptional. We sat in the bar for dinner. Granted, we were the only table on a Sunday night, but Craig, the bartender/server was great. Answered all are questions on food and wine. Make a couple recommendations, that were spot on. Will definitely put Kinzie Chop House back in the rotation!
Had a reservation, not super crowded but service was very slow and inattentive. Disappointing as I had recommended the restaurant as a good place for food and service.
Kinzies’ did not disappoint! We were greeted quickly and were able to sit on the patio to enjoy the evening. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. Chase was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations while relating with us. We were treated like part of the family which was refreshing.
I had guests in from out of town who are picky about their meat. They were in heaven. The Mac and Cheese was out of this world. The premium ingredients and meats used was evident.
Our only disappointment was that we had no room left for dessert!!!
The food was excellent and you got a lot of bang for your buck considering this is a nice high end restaurant, the wedge salad is very good and quite substantial, I had the short ribs very good, one of has had the prime rib and it was very good and the grilled meat loaf also a good choice. The service was also very good.
Absolutely delicious, fantastic wait staff, perfect for our 50 year anniversary celebration.
Amazing service, great food! Everything was wonderful!
Excellent service. Our waiter was very friendly. Food was outstanding.
Outstanding service and food was tremendously delicious. Second time there for a business dinner and they exceeded my expectations. I always will go back when I am in Chicago.
It took ages to pick up the order. Tables are packed and it is noisy. Waiting time also long and cold air blowing from the ceiling. This was at least switched off on request.
On the positive side, the food was very good and our waiter, Insung, was very nice and tried hard. However, there are insufficient number of waiters in the restaurant. They work under permanent stress.
I try to get to Kinze’s every time I come to town. Love the food, service and ambiance.
The Delmonico steak was excellent and I appreciate the server recommending it even though it was among the least expensive cuts on the menu.
I happily sat in the bar area which was fine until a large office group gathered. They did nothing wrong, but this accounts for it being way too loud for my preferences.
