The atmosphere was mellow, the service hospitable, and the food was quite tasty. I’d highly recommend Kingdton II.
Absolutely delicious! I haven't tasted anything on the menu here that I didn't love. The goat curry was superb!
It was a beautiful day which started off with wine tasting on Treasure Island and ended here at Kingston 11. I had been dying to try this place ever since I seen it on Check Please. We started with the Wild gulf shrimp, salt fish fritters and Jamaican patties which were my favorite. For dinner we had the Jerk chicken and Oxtail stew. Both were very good. I didn't get a chance to try the drinks but I'll save that for another day. ;)
Great original food in a casual homey environment.
Great as always! Love this place.
My favorite thing that I ordered actually was the limeade. I wish that there were free refills. The next favorite for me was the rice dish. I had to adjust my palate to eating the greens. I liked the band a lot but it was a little close to where I was sitting.
Food is always outstanding!
Trust me, IRMAO this place has eerie ting Irie. Authentic, to say the least. Wonderfully diverse crowd with great energy. Staff was cool and the food was banging! The Beef pattie, Bra!! And the plantains, Damn. But the oxtail will make you want to not go home. Get up. Stand up!
Everyone was kept waiting over an hour to obtain their orders, and even then things were missing from orders. Many, many unhappy tables.
Great service. The owner was friendly, and hospitable. The food was delicious. I'd go again!
Oxtails were amazing! They were seasoned well. Probably the best I ever had. The reviews did not lie when it said they fall off the bone. My husband who is from the West Indies says the curry goat was excellent as well. We are moving to Oakland and will definitely eat here monthly if not weekly.
The jerk chicken is delicious. Casual atmosphere. Loud. Drinks are creative though small for the price. I’m definitely going back for the chicken. It’s a good portion with wing, drumstick and thigh. I don’t love dark meat but this was tender and tasty. The greens that we got as a side were also really good. No dessert menu but we were so full it didn’t matter.
Authentic Jamaican food with fun vibe. They were slammed when we arrived. Our table was waiting for us and we were warned that service could be slow. Drinks were delicious too. Wish they served hot sauce
Very good experience. First time here. Will return when in the area. Loved the jerk chicken and rum punch.
Food was great and so was the service. My whole family loved it and there were 12 of us.
The music alone was worth the price of admission! I do love the dinner menu more than the Sunday Brunch menu. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.
Went for Sunday brunch. Great food. Great ambiance except that the steel drum player was a bit loud. Hart to heard conversation with my son. Great value
The best Jamaican food !
Friendly staff, and fantastic food.
chicken was dry and the beans and rice has odd sauce on top
I thought 5.00 for a kiddie cup of sorrel was overpriced
the plantain were the best I ever had
entire meal was overpriced for the quality
service was friendly and the interior was really nice
I wouldn't go back or recommend
Food and drinks were good. Energetic and cool vibe inside. Great neighborhood for a night out. Service was friendly but just not very consistent. It was nice in a way because we certainly didn’t feel rushed! I would go there again for sure.
Great food and great vibe! They could cut the vegetables a little smaller in the curry, but the use of spices is absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Berkeley area!
Good, fresh food. Great service and I enjoyed meeting the owner- very personable! Keep up the good job!
Love Kingston 11! Great food, ambiance and service. If you are in Oakland and want to spice things up a bit for dinner. Go to Kingston 11! Excellent Jamaican cuisine.
One of my favorite restaurants. Good food, even better service!!!
Try the ackee & saltfish (Jamaica's national dish) on their brunch menu, it's to die for!
Amazing food and service - we went for Easter brunch and were well accommodated. We even received attention from the owner. The servers were personable and professional, and the ambiance was great. Will be back!!!
The red snapper sauté was outstanding! Highly recommend. As were some of the tapas dishes.
Nice place. The curried goat was quite good as were the rum cocktails. The cod cake appetizer was a little small for the $10.00 price. Only 2 pieces. Still it was very good. Went there on a busy Saturday night but the service was quite good and friendly. I don't know if I would make the trip back out there just for this place, but if nearby for another reason I would consider going back.
I booked a table for us four pals, hoping for the best (based on reviews). We were not disappointed: the friendliness, the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the noise level that allowed for actual conversation without the need to shout—all this added up to a wonderful dining experience. All of us will return, with spouses.
Great food and cocktails! Definitely worth coming from SF. Will be back!
My daughter recommended this place months ago and we just got around to trying it and we are glad we did. We made a reservation for brunch on Sunday and were greeted with a smile by a gentleman and seated right away. It wasn't full, but quite noisy with several large groups having a great meal!! We ordered the salmon and the salmon omelette. Food was tasty!! The salmon came with a salad that appeared relatively ordinary, but after tasting it was almost the best thing on the plate! The vinaigrette had just a tad of sweetness that was a perfect balance But, be willing to wait for your food. We went on a Sunday when they only serve brunch, so the menu was more limited. We will be back again for dinner!!
The service was a little spotty. Everyone was super nice. Our server was very pleasant, but we found we had to run others down to help us while she chatted up with a person at the bar. We asked the expediter (I think this was her capacity) for our coffee, then our server said she would go get our coffee and after about 10 minutes the gentleman who sat us went and brought our coffee. After an additional 5 minutes passed and our server brought us coffee. Another server came over to ask if we needed help as I wanted to pack up my leftovers and get the bill.
Great food! Patties are solid! Jerk chicken is legit! Drinks are delicious. Service is friendly but incongruent. Overall good experience.
Food was delicious! As a vegan I was worried about finding something, but the tofu and rice was phenomenal. Server was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Only knock was it was a bit expensive, $50+ for two people.
Nice spot, nice crowd and decor. I was a bit underwhelmed by my food though and didn't like the plantains at all; they were dry. I would come back since my first choice for Jamaican food is all the way in San Jose.
As always a great experience. The staff was great everyone checked on you!! Love it can’t wait to come back!
Having lived in the West Indies for eight years, it is nostalgic for me to dine at a Jamaican restaurant as there are some commonalities between West Indian and Jamaican cuisine.
Great jerk chicken, plantains and rice and peas .. .extraordinary cocktails and the best rum I have had in a long time ...
We went for lunch. It was almost empty. Our server was friendly and attentive. Both the jerk chicken sandwich and salad were delicious. The fries were great, too. Prices were reasonable. We’ll be back for dinner so we can try the curried goat.
Overall my experience went went well. The food appetizer (small plates) wasn’t prepared fresh. The lamb chops wasn’t heated as we liked . The main plate dish was phenomenal lots of flavor and seasoning. I would recommend the place to anyone.
Did not have a table set up when we arrived for our reservation
No one came to take order for over 15 minutes
Food took about 35 mins to come and none of it arrived at the same time or warm.
Chicken was over cooked
Eggs over cooked
Fries under cooked
Had to hunt someone down to get the check
Will not return or recommend
Delicious food and Adrian was really nice
Oxtail entree so tasty!
