About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Good for groups
  • Neighborhood gem
Established in 2005, King’s Fish House is Rancho Cucamonga’s choice for seafood. Located in Victoria Gardens, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

Welcome to the House that Seafood Built.

Come gather with us, celebrate, relax and enjoy a seafood dining experience of high quality, comfort, service and value.

The fish , lobster, and crab that served were fishy and overcooked. The steaks were burnt on each side and bland tasting. Vegetables were burnt and overcooked. The miso soups were salty and lukewarm. The only reasonable dish were raw oysters, mixed organic salad, mashed potatoes, and French fry. The waitress disappeared with dirty dishes piled up. We selected this restaurant due to its high rating on the OpenTable. Given the cost of food, poor quality of foods and services, we were very disappointed and will not go back to this restaurant.

Great service and great food. BUT, beware the suggested tip on the bottom of the receipt is very misleading. The restaurant calculates the tip AFTER the total including sales tax. Should be the sub-total.

Must of had a new sushi chef and oyster shucker. No ginger or wasabi on the plate. The cuts of fish weren’t prepared well. No wasabi on the rice. The oysters were partially shredded, ie the person handling the knife didn’t know how to separate the foot cleanly. Most unusual for this restaurant as previously everything was quite good.

First outdoor dining. Attentive server, some food was over cooked like the fried butterflied shrimp and fried scallops. My brussel sprout side was half burnt and we had a yapping dog almost throughout dinner. Overall experience was good because I was dining with my husband.

Four adults total bill was $240 and then a $40 tip. We felt that was high for less than great food. It was average or slightly above average at best. We had a calamari appetizer that was pretty chewy and hard to eat. The restaurant was crazy busy and it was a Friday night, so maybe it wasn’t the best time to go. We’ve been there several times before and the food has always been very good. It was a bit of a disappointment this time but not so much that we won’t go back and try it again.
