King's Fish House - Orange
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable. The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about- and we've tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!
We have been here a few times and I'm always impressed. Food, service, and atmosphere is always great.
Serve was great food was Awsome and she recommended great dishes
King’s is always delicious. From the crab cakes, to the lobster, to the scallops and the mahi tacos we all enjoyed our meals. Staff is great, everyone works as a team. We look forward to our return.
This is our go to place for celebrations. Food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent.
Had a great experience. Definitely going back.
Food was great and well priced.
Sat at the oyster bar. The vibe is good and raw bar items are great. The service is a bit slower clearing plates there but over all great experience.
Total for bill was $180.00 for 4 people, i.e. 2 couples. Fine. Paid $100 cash and remainder on debit card. We were brought bill with $100 deducted from total leaving $80 to be charged to debit card. Paid remainder and included tip i.e. $40 totaling $120 on Debit card. Next morning, went to online banking for unrelated issue and noticed $180 was deducted for King's which also showed this would be adjusted for the added tip, i.e. $220. Was the cash pocketed and a bogus bill brought to table? Hopefully honest mistake. I called and was told correction would take 3 days. If not then call again. Overall, disappointing.
Best seafood and sushi in oc. This is our favorite family restaurant
So disappointed. I have loved Kings for years. The remodel was beautiful and we were all excited to visit more often. I was there twice this week; once for lunch and once for dinner. The service was awful both times but the dinner visit on Tuesday took the cake. First, with a reservation, the snooty hostess wouldn’t give us a table upon arrival. We were early and the restaurant was nearly vacant, but we had to wait???
After asking a manager for assistance we were seated. We ordered cocktails. After 20 minutes, I got up and went to find our server. A different server intervened and offered to help. The manager stopped by the table to apologize but cocktails took over 30 minutes. Food was truly mediocre. It is so unfortunate to have a beautiful restaurant with tremendous potential be this subpar.
In our party, one requested "macadamia nut Ono" which the chef was able to do - it was outstanding. The sides are always excellent. We would love to see a King's Fish House come to the Desert Ridge area of north Phoenix where there is growth and a new CITY NORTH being developed. We get down to Tempe once in a while but it's quite a drive. Also, we used to love the tuna melt but the recipe was changed a few years ago. Haven't had it again since.
Always a good meal! New seating arrangement sort of did away with “Dining Room”, but still a good choice if you want a fish dinner!
This is one of our favorites places to eat for special vacations. All of us have a favorite food we love. Mine is Crab legs, have the best. Will be eating there for many more years to come.
The food was very good and we enjoyed the patio for dining.
Our food and service were very good
Kings Fish House is pricey! As long as they let you bring in your own wine & don’t charge a corking fee I will continue to go there.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff.
Great selection of oysters! Enjoyed the clam chowder!
Inside is very noisy but we were seated outside , after our request, and the area was very quiet
Anytime my family is in Anaheim for Disneyland (twice a year), we visit King’s. When setting up our reservation on Open Table, I wish we knew in advance that our table would be outside in high 80 degree weather. The hostess wasn’t very accommodating or polite about our request to move inside the restaurant. Plus, they turned on the heating lamps above us. Not very happy after paying our $130 bill. Food is great, but make sure you get a table inside - in advance. I didn’t realize it was our responsibility until we were already seated.
Delicious food, great service! We will definitely be back.
Had a reservation and was seated immediately. The waitress was very cordial and explained all of the specials and her favorite dishes. Food was served within 10 minutes and it was simply delicious. Overall experience was excellent.
Food pretty good not amazing! Service from the time you check in to waiters was average at best, got my food, got my usually everything okay, save some room for desert? Here you check! Not saying it was bad but this place is not cheap, I expected a little more!
The service was poor! We had to keep asking for refills of our drinks and never poured another glass of wine
Our check was brought and no mention of dessert. Did not enjoy my dining experience
The size of the scallops keep getting smaller every time that I order them. Very disappointed.
Service was slow and confused, drinks from bar were slow and not very tasty. Salmon was good, veggies were soft, wedge salad was hard, not good lettuce. Price a little to high for low quality.
Delicious. Our server Mario was excellent
King's is consistently one of the better places for seafood around my area. They provide excellent food and service for a reasonable price... I look forward to going there.
Had a great waitress and she set the mood for our visit with family and friends . Name was Katie or Katy
This is our fave restaurant for Seafood. The staff is always cordial and attentive. Everyone in our party thought the food was great. We had out of town guests and it was a perfect setting for everyone. The Angels were in town and we thought we would have a problem getting a place @ 6 P.M.. We made reservations beforehand and were seated w/in 3 or 4 minutes. An A+++ for your detailed attention, service and quality of food.
The mussels are some of the best we have ever had. The service was also great. We had reservations on a Friday night and were seated right away. The brussel sprouts side dish was awful, too hard to eat. The waiter took them away and off the bill. The manager came over later and apologized. This is definitely a good place for seafood.
Love the no corkage. Halibut tacos and walnut salad were great and a value on the Happy hour menu in the bar
Seated by front entrance and everyone waiting for a table were talking and sitting up against our booth.
The food and service was excellent. Our server Chris was amazing.
Ceviche and Edamame (with garlic) appetizers were great. Salmon was a little dry but the rest of the dinners (party of 7) were good.
The food was excellent quality. All fish was fresh and tasty. Service was perect, I did not have to want for anything our server made sure we had eveything we needed before even having to ask for it.
We usually love to come to this restaurant. A bit disappointed that I wasn’t able to get the meal I have been waiting all week for due to that they ran out bread. Very disappointed.
Service was great. Food was okay, not rushing to go back. Restaurant itself is very nice. Wish the food was tasty. Our son’s chicken tenders were burnt to the point that I couldn’t even chew it and had to take off the breaded portion from the chicken. We were advised that if they were to cook it again in less time we would risk undercooked chicken...the tenders were not even an inch thick (if that). Not sure how long you have to cook them for but okay. Grateful for our waitress, she understood and took it off our bill.
Requested patio seating when reservations made in advance. Seated inside which was crowded and noisy and lacked in ambience. Food portions appeared smaller than in the past. We've been celebrating birthdays here for four years and were always allowed to choose any dessert- not this time - were required to select from two given choices. Server was pleasant and performed her job but servers in the past were much more attentive.
Great lunch. Clam chowder best in Orange County
