King's Fish House - Orange
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable. The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about- and we've tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!
Excellent meal. Liked the halibut and the crab cakes. Interesting specialty drink menu.
We went to King's Fish House for Father's Day and sat outside for a lovely and very comfortable meal. The recommendations were dead-on: the Avocado/Crab Toast was the perfect appetizer to share and the bread was delicious as always. My dad had the N'awlins BBq shrimp and enjoyed it thoroughly. Messy but delicious! We had the Shrimp/Crab Louie Salad and were amazed how delicious and BIG it was!
My favorite as usual. This restaurant will not disappoint ever!! I am always full and happy when I leave.
It was our first time there and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back to explore more of the menu.
I had the kings shrimp, fish, and scallops. My wife had the shrimp plate.unfortunately both were over cooked. Dark brown coating and dried out, except the fish batter was ok, no flavor. My French fries was under cooked and soggy, again no flavor.we expected better for a $90 meal.tho the wine and bread was good.we will not be going back
The N’Awlins Shrimp was delicious and Sautéed Kale side fish was very good. The key lime pie was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Our server, Hannah was excellent! We will ask to be seated in her section again.
Food and service was great. I think it’s kinda pricey though. They should reconsider their pricing, there’s no meals under $16.
Always great food! Good service and love the martinis!
Great service, great menu items, nice Atmosphere with great lighting, over all awesome experience..my data was very impressed with the choices.i was able to make Reservations online and that was nice also..will be going back soon considering I’m dating
I have not been there for quite some time and the ambiance was absolutely wonderful. Our server was great and the food was top-notch. All in all it was a wonderful evening. Considering we went during busy dinner time and an Angel game was going on our server was right on top of things and everything was just flowing perfectly.
Arrived a few minutes early. Was surprised “greeters” made us wait for several minutes. There were as many as 8 employees standing in check in area while we waited and waited. Also there were probably 50% open seating areas. Our server made up for the unfriendliness of the several hostesses.
There's something for everyone, even people eh don't like seafood (me).
Restaurant staff was polite, and seemed well
Diverse with there work duties.
The only disappointment of the evening was
a warm (going on ) cold Baked Potato.
King's fish House does a wonderful job in creating an ambience for enjoying the evening for a great dinner. I have the king crab legs and my wife had the fresh shrimp. one of the unique aspects has the ability to order a 1/2 bottle of wine. This works perfect for the two of us.
Service was excellent. Tataki appetizer was outstanding, and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Fish cooked perfectly. Very nice evening.
Service was very attentive... food was good minus the Mac and cheese being a little bland. Would recommend
Waiter was rude and argued with us about what we ordered when it was HIS fault
Yummy food & good service as always!
Great Selection of Fresh Seafood. Attentive Service in a nice setting
Absolutely fantastic service!!! Thank you for a great dining experience, food, and atmosphere...
It is always great here. I got the fried fish combo with shrimp, scallops, and cod. My husband got the halibut that was delicious. My brother got the N'alings spicy shrimp. Everyone was happy and content. The food is consistently yummy here.
Great food and experience
Came back for a second visit with a gift card because the last time I was here the food was horrible and I complained, and yet again the food was horrible. The service was also very slow yet I felt like the server was rushing us. Our appetizer salads took about 20 minutes to come out and then the server brought the dessert menu when I was only halfway through my entree. Very strange. Won’t come back again, even with another gift card
Great food! Really nice cocktails. Our server, Katie, was awesome!
Always good to eat here...been enjoying this place 13 times and counting!
Great service. Was a little bit early for our reservation and the hostess showed us to our table within 5 minutes. Such a great experience from entering to leaving.
Had a reservation for 6:30, noticed outdoor seating was not as loud as indoor seating, so we requested to be seated outside. We were seated within 5 min of arrival at 5:45. Great food. Recommend the spicy tuna with crispy rice as an appetizer. Good fist experience at Kings. Side portions were a little small. Will definitely be back.
Best clam chowder and shrimp cocktail ever. Huge shrimp.
My date and I both had the fish and chips. We both found the dish to be excellent! Our server was very helpful in checking in on us often. The corner booth was a perfect spot for us. We will come back!
My birthday. I had dinner with 6 of my best friends. Service was impeccable up to and including separate checks...thank you Kings. The noise level was a little problematic but it was a busy night. We just added to it by talking louder. And, the food was delicious. I had Oysters Rockefeller and clam chowder. Exceptional. Surprisingly, this was my first time. It will not be my last.
Food was good, but needed more flavour. A little bland. The baked kale side dish was soggy and lacked any spice.
We had an early lunch reservation for four guests at 11:30 AM. Food and service were adequate but, we had to ask for our server a couple of times.
Pam is the best server. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Good job KFHO.
One of my "goto" places, great place to eat and get a cocktail. Since the remodel that opened the place up, which looks great by the way, it can get a bit noisy.
Using Open Table is the only way we go to Kings anymore because the wait is ridiculous and we don’t like dealing with the host station because they always have 5 people standing around yet not helping. I got the steak and lobster $, after biting into the lobster I had to send it back because it was drastically undercooked, then I had to send it back a second time (same piece I was eating) and it still wasnt good. The steak was purple in the middle but was hard and chewy and just tasted like a cheap piece of defrosted supermarket meat. I would’ve sent it back but by that time my 5 year old was done and we couldn’t wait any longer for anything else. I got home and was sick all night. Not going back for a while.
Another great meal at Kings. We had a crowd of seven for dinner and everyone liked something different. Nobody left disappointed!
