To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.
The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.

We had an excellent server, Katie, and we were seated outdoors as requested. An umbrella was brought over so we could eat in the shade. We felt very accommodated.
I was disappointed with my fish (Mahi-mahi). It was cooked well, the problem was it was half blood meat and the consistency seemed like it had been frozen.
My Brussel sprouts and asparagus were both good.
It also seemed that it took awhile to get our order.
Katie checked on us several times for drinks, provided bread/butter for the table and was very friendly and quick to bring us any requests.
Desserts key lime pie, creme brûlée and chocolate ice cream were delicious.
I had the crab cake and seared tuna salad, both were very good and the server was very attentive and nice. I will go back.
From the time we walked in until the time we left customer service great. My host MARTIN was very attentive and informative thumbs up to my host MARTIN! If you want fanatic customer service ask to sit in Martins section! Martin made sure I had a great Mother’s Day. To the wonderful staff whom came out to speak to all the mothers thank you as well. I promise I will be back sooner than you think.

The atmosphere outweighed the experience. My wife and daughters food were good. I ordered the yellow tail and I didn’t enjoy the experience. The waitress missed putting an order in for my daughter, and it took awhile to receive our food. We were welcomed to our table quickly, and we were thanked for coming in. It’s a one and done for me.
We enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent! The bread is delicious. Our server was very accommodating, friendly, and competent. We ate on the patio. It was very pleasant. We were a party of older people, and could talk comfortably. Our reservation was for 5:30, and we only got up from the table at 8:00pm. Highly recommend the kings restaurant, for excellent sea food!
Did not eat there. Showed up at reservation time (5:15) Was told they were booked until 8:30.
We enjoyed a fabulous dinner on the patio. It's always hard to choose from the extensive menu, and each meal was great. We always look forward to our dinners at King's, not only for the food, but the employees always make it more fun.

The experience overall was horrible. The server was rude, he actually raised his voice at me when I was asking if the extra shrimp would be fried. The entire party (my family) was surprised at his tone. He was very curt and short with us.
The food was pretty bad. It took ONE HOUR to receive our food after placing our order. The restaurant was not packed. The fried fish was bland, unseasoned and gross. The fries were cold when served to us. The steak was meant to be medium but was served well done and cold.
The environment was also very loud where it was difficult to hear the person next to me. The table rocked heavily and would cause our drinks to spill.
Waitress was amazing. Sand dabs were better than you’ve ever made them. New chef? The outside was crisp and the fish were divine. I wish you still served three as you did many years ago, but that is because I could eat 20!
Fish was very good though serving was skimpy. Silvia is an outstanding waitress, always on the move and checking back frequently.
Taylor was a great waitress. The food was magnificent. Everybody had a happy plate at the end of the meal with dessert!

Kings is always a phenomenal place to eat. The cocktails are superb the service Excellent and fish is Always fresh... We love the oysters Along with A few Lemon drops.

Service great food ok smelled spoiled and not fresh threw away the king crab platter and mussel.
I had made the reservations weeks in advance, and when a member of the party arrived 15 minutes early, she was told the tables on the patio for 5 were not available. Extremely disappointing and frustrating.
We had the best time with our server and although there might have been a mistake because it was not our anniversary, she made us feel as though it was and it was great.
It was our FIRST date and we had a memorable time.

Great meal and service. I had the trout with grilled zucchini and carrots. very fresh, carrots were just crunchy enough, and the bread was warm and fresh....

Food was disappointing for the price....could have gone to a competitor in La Jolla for a much better meal at the same cost!
Service was abominabley horrendous and slow: not replacing silverware/napkins, lack of checking in with diners, not once during the hour and a half meal were our waters/sodas refilled, not once were we asked if we’d care for another cocktail, asking for the bill was an effort and getting them too process payment was even more of an effort. Food was less than fair and some of the hot foods were served cold.
This was our first time dining here and we were excited to try it out - sadly and as disappointing of a dining experience this became, we will be looking to other restaurants in the future for seafood.
Waiter was extremely rude. I left after my appetizer will not be recommending or going back to this restaurant.
Waiter was great but short handed. He tried very hard to accommodate everybody. I know it’s hard to get help during covid. Halibut was excellent, sides delicious.
For some reason we were placed on the sidewalk vs the regular outdoor patio and it was freezing. We were told it was because we had a dog yet we have been seated in the regular outdoor Patio before w our pet. They did not offer us a patio heater till towards the end of our visit. The food was good quality but did not make up for the overall dining experience. The food took long and it was a cup of chowder and a salad. I’m probably more disturbed that we were secluded like that
We had a very enjoyable dinner, one of our first meals out since Covid. Being greeted by hot delicious sourdough bread always starts the meal off right. Everything we ordered was well prepared and tasty and service was friendly and accommodating. We look forward to returning soon.

We found the food was really delicious. The seafood tasted really fresh. We really liked our waitress who was very attentive. All in all, it was a really enjoyable dinner out and I will return soon
