King's Fish House - Mission Valley
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable. The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about- and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!

Fantastic food, great service and great location
Great food and service!
My sea bass was over cooked, but everything else was delicious. Tasty sauces. The key lime pie was very tart. I didn’t eat it, though my husband ate every bite.
It was amazing!!! We are definitely coming back soon!!
Lunch meeting with associates
King's is a great value with outstanding seafood selections served at a fair price. We especially liked that their entrees include two fresh vegie choices and their special attention to our 8 & 10 year old kids.
I took my family here for Mother's Day. Overall it was very good. Food was good, noise level was good, very spacious with lots of room in between our table and the one next to us, which I always appreciate. The only problem was that my filet mignon was much rarer than I had ordered. I ordered medium well so I sent it back, but I swear it came back with the same exact red color. I just couldn't eat it that way, so I boxed it up and knew I could re-heat it and it would be fine. But I would definitely go back.
Nice place always . Great food. Waiters are diligent and kind people
My son and I ate here for Mother’s Day. The service was great! We were seated right away an stage food was great! I will definitely eat here again in the near future.
We were here for Mother's Day. It ended up being a great choice. We were seated inside at first, I requested a move to outdoors and the hostess was very accommodating. Food was good, the weather was beautiful..overall a really great Mother's Day experience.
We were there as a family for Mother's Day this year. All the different food items we ordered were delicious, the server was with us just the right amount of time and everyone that was in the restaurant was in a great mood because it was a great day.
We went Sunday May 5th for a belated birthday lunch. Everything was terrific! From warm bread and cocktails to dessert. We had blackened ono and the Alaskan Halibut. Both were delicious and fresh. The dessert menu is very nice. I had the butter cake which is amazing! Everyone liked my dessert the best. We used to have a Kings I the Southbay, but sadly it left so we went to Mission Valley. It was a great experience.
Great cocktails and amazing fresh swordfish. Friendly and attentive bartender and waiter!
The macadamia nut-crusted halibut was excellent, as was the nut-crusted white sea bass. The garlic mashed potatoes are always good, but the cooked spinach was way too peppery and had to be sent back to be done without pepper. Service has improved in the last year... people seem quite eager to serve and polite. Altogether an enjoyable evening.
We had amazing service and the food was excellent! Next time we visit we will definitely be eating there again!
The macadamia crusted halibut was delicious, the managers checked on us with sincerity, and the Cajun style shrimp had amazing flavor. We also had a birthday and they didn’t sing per the birthday persons request which was really respectful.
As always a great experience. Great food, excellent service
We had a large group of 9. Our server (Chrysilla?) was very able, very friendly. Service and food were great.
Food is good though a bit salty. Portions are decent (entree salads are huge) and they serve fresh baked bread which adds a star for me. Service and kitchen tend to be slow.
Everything was tasty! Surprised us! We will be back. A little on the pricey side but all of our dishes were delish!
The food is a little bit pricey as it should be because of the value. It’s an above average seafood place. I definitely will be going back there and my grown children loved it! I will be going back too. Drinks appetizers and everything is just wonderful! Yum.
We had a very nice Easter lunch at King's Fish House Mission Valley. The food was good, not stellar. Sushi roll acceptable, crab cakes same, trout, also acceptable. Nothing extraordinary. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and accommodated a disabled person in our party beautifully. The kitchen was a bit slow, especially since there was only 1 other table seated in when we arrived. Not sure if they had to catch the fish first or ???
Fantastic as always!
My friend had a great salad although it was $20! I ordered the Sandabs at $18 and I don't even think I received one whole fish on the portion I was given. At the Brigantine in La Mesa, the portion is so large, I can never finish it. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
This place exceeded my expectations. Thank you for not playing loud music or using gang service for food.
Great service. We had a little hiccup on the order, one of our fish orders was overcooked. We sent it back and was more than happy with the replacement. I never expect to be comped in a situation like this, but they did, and were more than generous in comping other items we ordered.
Our server kept apologizing for a situation not in her control, which we did appreciate. We were not in any hurry that night and although we did have to wait, we had a very good time and meal.
We will definitely return.
Great food and service
Porciones muy pequeñas
Great food. Enjoyed everything I had. Sushi and oysters were great!
We ordered appetizers as soon as we sat down. 45 mins later no appetizer, several times the seever said "your appitizer wil be right out" just before the meal came out came the appetizer. It almot seemed as thoughg the server forgot to,put the order in.
The rice part of my lobster roll tasted very ood.
Food is always very good but pricey. love the crab legs. My husband had the oyster sampler and enjoyed them a lot, but again a bit overpriced.
We have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Some of their fish wasn't fresh and their prices tend to be on the higher side. But, their service was excellent and the staff were friendly with a "can do" attitude.
Food was great as usual and Carlos provided outstanding service. We're a fan!
Their food is so good! And service was great too! One person in our party has food allergies and the waiter was knowledgeable and helped figure out what could safely be eaten. Ambience is ok. (It’s in a shopping center so there’s that.) Overall a really good experience!
Even we reserved a table with the app the table was not ready and we had a additional 30 min for our table! The food took forever to come!
Was good we had 6 in our party, but someone in my party didn’t get served until we where done eating and another person in our party asked for medium rare, was served well done. They asked someone there to send back and get what they ordered. Come to find out it was the manager, they got upgraded and was not charged for both meals. They did right!
We've been going to King's for years, especially for special occasions, and the food and service are always good. My only suggestion would be that the round tables are too close together, to the point where you can feel like you're dining with the adjacent party.
Excellent food and great service!
The food was really good and the service was the best .
Excellent service and food
