King's Fish House - Long Beach
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.
The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about — and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!

Great food and seating is nice and spaced out. Greta outdoor seating as well.
Very casual atmosphere. Fun place. The service was gracious. The food was good. It was fine for a friend get-together.
The service was excellent and we had a person with us that needed special attention as to how their food was cooked. Kings did a very good job in seeing that her needs were met and she did not have any trouble later in the evening. The food overall was excellent. We would highly recommend Kings to our friends and family.
Always fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable. The best clam chowder.
Excellent food with big portions. Also nice service with attentive staff
The top sirloin and lobster tail plate. Outstanding!
Food was excellent. Great service. Ambiance was great and not too noise sitting outside. Somewhat quiet and pleasant on a Sunny Sunday afternoon.
Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and polite! He made the afternoon, based on his positive energy, very enjoyable.
Pretty mediocre. The service reaaaaally lacked. Had to follow up on our drinks and food on multiple occasions.
King’s Fish House as always is the freshest and best fish in town!
Great food , super friendly and helpful service! Will go again!
Lovely on the patio
Quality and sourcing information are excellent. Prices, however, are sky high. When did we get to $3 an oyster?
The food is always great!
My husband and I used to dine here regularly however when we moved out of the area when don’t visit often. So glad we returned! Every aspect of my recent visit was perfect!
King's Fish House has that beach pier-like feel with a modern touch. I ordered the miso yaki seabass and it was delicious. The service is fantastic and our server was very attentive to our needs. Certainly, a great place to eat.
Spaced seating; food outstanding and service as well
The fish and chips...
We're not crispy at all. Just the very ends of the batter was crispy. The rest of the battery was soggy.
The 12oz steak and lobster were great. Not a fan of the dressing over the asparagus. But over all that plate was delicious. Service was friendly.
Shawna was a great host for our table.
It wasn't until 10 minutes after our meals arrived that I received a knife for my steak. More importantly, the menu does not indicate there is pork in the grilled brussle sprouts. My guest was allergic to pork (which we later discovered was in the baked oysters as well ).
My guest (who was celebrating her birthday) became I'll from what appears to be chunks of pork in the brussle sprouts. Definitely not an enjoyable meal or experience for nearly $200. Drinks were good and server was nice. All in all, This seems to be the norm with the company that owns the sister companies, such as 555 and Meat on ocean. I think money is best spent elsewhere.
We had a delightful lunch on out of doors on Pine. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. An umbrella to shield us from the sun was immediately placed by our table and a server was at the table almost as soon as we sat. Our dog received lots of pats and we felt very much at ease. I had the fried shrimp and my husband had sand dabs and a glass of pinot grigio. The food here was superior that any seafood we've had since moving to LA 11 years ago. We had a great time. The outdoor mood felt very European and the noise from the adjacent streets wasn't so great that we could not have a quiet conversation.
What a disappointment, the food is mediocre and overpriced . I ordered the fish platter and the my fish is very heavy with flour and not crispy and the no taste at all , the salad was under dressed , The service is underwhelming , the server has an attitude and provided a less descent service , Now we remember the reason why we have not been back for a long time and will not be back again
Was a nice Saturday night dining and people watching! Food was delicious! Will be planning another date night here soon!
Safe - follows safety Covid rules
Service - quick to take orders but slow to bring drinks & food. Forgot to bring soup before entrees. It was fine though as we just got the soups to go but server didn’t even realize we didn’t get them.
Ambiance- great to sit outside & get fresh air. Not very loud for late lunch early dinner time. There was a fair amount of people out on this Saturday but the street/block was closed off so no cars zooming by which was absolutely wonderful!
Food - oysters were fresh & yummy! Fresh fish was great. Fried Fish & Chips were not great - oily & not crispy. Cocktails & beer were fine.
Prices - $350 for 5 people with 5 entrees, appetizers, & cocktails was a great deal! We will probably even back!
We specifically reserved an outdoor table but nothing was available for us, even 30 minutes later. There were only two outdoor tables available for parties of 5 and neither were anywhere nearby finished. We don't understand why we would be able to make a reservation if the restaurant had no intention of saving a table for us. We had to sit inside which we were unhappy about given COVID safety precautions and our older family members with preexisting conditions. The service was slow and the food was less impressive than average for the price point. The cocktails were not balanced or spirit forward. Likely would not return.
Delicious fresh seafood! Cocktails & dessert were awesome too!
So lovely to be out and about! We were greeted as we arrived and asked what type of table we preferred. Service was outstanding and food excellent!
Always a treat!
Always a fun meal here! Best appetizer is Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. Free corkage adds to the value.
Everything was great
The oysters were amazing! The wood grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly but had no flavor. The carrots that came with it were also cooked perfectly, but again, not much flavor. The Mac and cheese was delightfully creamy and had a nice flavor. Cocktails are good. Our server was very nice and accommodating.
Excellent food and service! Oysters and Crab legs were great.
I had the chilean sea bass which was very tasty. started with some clam chowder, ok, but not the best.
Waitress, Erin was amazing!! I’ll definitely be back. Cocktails & food was awesome as well!
Great when all four of us order something different!
Pine Street is closed and there are more people walking through the streets, so when you book a table outside you may encounter unwanted attention/noise.
Host was very rude from the start. Never said hi or welcome. She acted like we were bothering her. I stated in my reservation I needed a high chair and they gave me a booster seat. The girl that seated us went back and told the host and she said no. The girl then whet to her manager after my husband told her our son is autistic and won’t sit in a booster. The manager got us a table. The girl that sat us was very understanding. The host was annoyed that we got a table with a high chair. Shouldn’t have someone who is the 1st person to represent your business with no personality or warmth. Our waitress was very kind and our food was great.
