King's Fish House - Long Beach
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.
The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about — and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!

Good food and great service.
Kumamoto oysters, garlic mash and spinach sides. All grilled fish good.
Very fresh wild caught Chilean seabass. Sauces can be improved. I made my own sauce. On the expensive side thou but worth it
Loved the food and the atmosphere but loved the service the most! Great time!
A great seafood menu and well prepared. Excellent service, I ate in the bar. I'll be sure to try other locations and hope they expand to Seattle.
Great service and food! Came from Florida on business and rank this as comparable to some of our favorite seafood restaurants at home.
Dinner for four fabulous experience can’t say good enough things about kings fish house
Sarah was great! She was very attentive and built rapport with his as she waited our table. We started off with a dozen of oysters on a half shell and they were delicious! Then we ordered our entrees with side salads to start. Those salads were HUGE that we took some home. My wife ordered the tuna melt, which was great after adding a little salt, pepper and garlic sauce that’s on the table. I had the South African Lobster Tails and they were amazing! We’ll definitely be back soon! That’s for the great evening after a long day!
Andre provided excellent service thanks! We really enjoyed the food as well. Thank you.
Will be back.
The service was terrific. Angel was very friendly and attentive. Try the N'Awlins BBQ Shrimp, if you dare!
excellent service and food. look forward to returning!
We enjoyed the surf and turf. The food could have been a bit better but we would go back.
Amazing service from front of house to wait staff, really made our birthday dinner special
One of our favorite restaurants in downtown Long Beach! Nice bar, wonderful menu full of fresh, well-prepared dishes. For dessert, the butter cake is a must
Great, friendly staffs.
All the food tasted fresh and delicious!
Excellent food and drinks yet again! Love this place, wish it was closer to my house, but then I would probably be broke from going there too much :)
Food was amazing. I was surprised that you stomach was overjoyed after eating oysters, calamari and crab! Great service (Danielle) and atmosphere. It was perfect.
From the service to the food, it was excellent!Have not been in years, will be back! Beautiful food and excellent service ❤️
We had a great experience at the Long Beach location. Our waiter, Owen (sorry if I got it wrong), was very attentive and checked on us accordingly. They were very busy but we got everything we wanted. Food is great, we had the Captain’s platter which is enough for us. My husband had the sea bass and I had the Halibut. Both cooked with perfection. We even had room for desserts. I had the pumpkin cheesecake and he had the key lime pie. Overall, it’s a great place to have a date or bring your whole family. I recommend this location over the one in HB. Customer service is A ++++
Clam Chowder, salmon, Unagi wee all very good.
Outdoor seating was nice.
You must try the BBQ shrimp, it comes as an appetizer or an entree. The sauce will have you licking the plate. Not too spicy but exceptionally flavorful.
Always outstanding. Great oysters: quality and selection. Love the cooked fish preparations. Service always great....thanks Steve.
We had an amazing experience the server was delightful. We truly enjoyed our evening and will definitely come back again in the near future
Overall it was great. We went at the lunch hour, and patrons were few and far between when we first arrived.. I’m thinking they were short-staffed, because our server was so busy and it took longer than I’m used to to get our order in, and served. But truly she was very nice.
Loved the food! Delicious and a large variety of options. I ordered sushi for all of us to share, and didn’t get pictures of the crab cakes, poke, macadamia crusted halibut and steak and lobster. But everyone said their food was so good.
We were there for an anniversary lunch, and got a delicious Bread Pudding too. By the time we left more than half the tables filled up.
Owen, our server, was superb. The poke appetizer was flavorful and edamame was a generous serving. Brussels sprouts and chilean seabass were excellent, as were the butter cake and keylime pie.
I will be bring my team here to enjoy a well deserved dinner.
A nice place to eat for your different seafood options portions are okay for price could be more
Delicious food, attentive service and great in environment in the middle of Downtown Long Beach. Ordered the shrimp and scallop combo with sweet corn and sautéed spinach. Also enjoyed the Spicy Seafood chowder which was not what I excepted (tomato/veggie based broth) but good all the same. Also, had the decadent butter cake which was of so good. Gotta eat it while its hot. Definitely will be returning soon to try the South African Lobster Tails.
First time at KFH, and we were not thoroughly impressed. The oyster sampler was great! But the spicy tuna crispy rice was burnt and tasted like char. The hamachi carpaccio tasted old and the fish had already turned. We tried the crusted halibut which was delicious as well as the 2 sides we selected. Overall it had its ups and downs but we were not impressed enough to want to return.
Always friendly service and fresh, well-prepared food.
Jorden our server was very polite and helpful. Has a great sense of humor and made our dinner very enjoyable. We will be back and hope to sit at Jorden’s table.
The food is outstanding if you love fresh oysters this is the place to go. The tuna was cooked to perfection, a definite place to dine at
In town for the Grand Prix. As in the past, dinner at King’s Thursday & Sunday. We were a bit disappointed this night but also understand the current situation with not enough staff throughout the country. So I don’t blame our server and she did her best to make it right. We will continue to patronize this location because in 20 years this was the only time we experienced any problem. The food was as good as ever, just a timing issue with the courses. We have always enjoyed our meal and rate it in the Top 5 for Seafood restaurants we have visited.
Overpriced. Location location location so I get it. But the food takes a long time to come out and when it does it’s very very average.
Every time I come visit Long Beach …King Fish House is a must visit and I have always had a great wonderful dinner there.
Overall the service and food was excellent! Our waitress was very friendly and made recommendations. The only negative was the noise level. It was louder than we would have preferred, but that was because the windows were open. We did enjoy the fresh air.
Our waitress was great! Very responsive and prompt with any request we had. The food was good.
