Staff is very accommodating and pleasant. Have had several dinners there meeting friends we haven't seen for quite a long time. They never rush you out to turn the tables.
It was outstanding experience! We enjoyed a dinner - as food as overall experience!
Great service. The food was cook to perfection. They have the best sourdough bread
The food was so awesome tasting. The gravy/sauce for my Chilean Sea Bass was to die for.
All our fish dinners were overcooked. I had to send my steak back (overcooked) it came back correct, but took a long time and most of our party was finished eating by the time i got my dinner. Portion sizes are not uniform based on the price. Our server, on the contrary, was excellent. He did a fine job apologizing for the kitchen and making things right for us as best he could under his situation.
Great luncheon at Kings Fish House! Kumamoto Oysters with delicious with Mignonettes. Bubbling hot NE Clam Chowder was excellent! Entrees included Seared Sea Bass and Grilled Scallops and Shrimp! Service was polite and professional. Nice wine list. Highly recommended if you are in Long Beach!
All great..fresh n delicious!
Had a very nice dinner. Oyster sampler was outstanding, service was great, mains of Halibut and Trout were both a little over done. I read the same on other reviews so it was my own fault for not asking them to prepare to our liking. We weren’t given an option when placing our order so I forgot all about it. Great dinner and the butter cake was also delicious.
My first time at King’s and I thought it was really good. We were celebrating a work-related event. Good food, service & ambience. Only food comment- a couple guests thought the shrimp was over cooked.
We had a horrible experience
I called the next day and told the manager
Our food sat on a round tray for at least 12 minutes
It was cold
My husbands fish was like mush
My daughters $34 plate of Halibut was over cooked and your a fish house
I will never go back
Maybe your chefs should learn to cook from Niks chefs
Our artichoke never came
My daughters chowder never came
Worse dining experience
Came for a late night dinner after a show at the Convention Center. Quick walk up the hill from there. This area is very active at night, lots of bars and restaurants.
The restaurant is beautiful, and had a great bar area as well. Selection was awesome on the menu, and pricing was good. Portions on fish entree's were a little small, but their burger was great! very neat twist on a regular burger. The ono was delicious! had the kale and mash for sides, also great! Servers were nice, but almost too distant during the later part of the dinner. I am all about having time to ourselves through the eating, but once plates were cleared, we waited a long time to get the check, and have it returned. Overall, though, I would come back, again, a great menu variety!
Food service and atmosphere were all excellent. I would definitely recommend.
We waited over an hour for our food to arrive and believe our waiter never inputted our order. We had tickets for the symphony and had to leave. The restaurant comped our drinks and appetizer but overall very disappointed with the experience. They gave us a gift card but when we checked the balance the system said it couldn’t find the gift cards or a value on them.
The waitress and manager were great and helped take care of us even the food and the food servers were not up to par. The prices seemed a bit high for the size and quality of the food.
Wonderful. Food was excellent and server was really helpful.
Michelle the server was both pleasant and efficient. The food, in my case, san dabs was excellent. I really enjoyed them. Kings is a good meeting place for me with people from OC. I'm glad it is such high quality and the people are good.
Casual place within walking distance of Convention Center. Stick to the basics. Sushi good. Fish tacos good. Avoid the fish as they overlook it and it’s obviously frozen filets. Nice spot for a drink and American food.
I've been at King's many time but in this instance the restaurant was overwhelmed by the lunch crowd. The server was wonderful but the kitchen couldn't keep up. Everything else was really nice.
Meh. I’m from Florida so when I see farmed shrimp on the menu I’m already turned off and refuse to eat anything. I had the cob salad with fresh crab. It was fresh from a can and just fine.
The service and food is very good at this King's location. When they open the windows it allows the noise to dissipate which make the place even more comfortable.
It was a good experience overall. The service was very good.
A little too loud for my liking, and not a great value for the quality in my opinion.
Dine Out Long Beach 2019! Great prix fixe meal and superb service!
The meal was beyond delicious. The place was clean and service very good. I enjoyed every moment.
We celebrated a birthday, and we could not have been happier. The food was excellent, and we were treated so well. Great, friendly service. Can't wait to go back. Besides the excellent seafood, the sides are fantastic too. Loved the Mac and cheese and the glazed carrots. Key Lime Pie and the bread pudding were a great way to end a perfect meal.
The hostess was great! We suddenly needed to add 3 people to our party and she made it happen! Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was just really, really loud and that was challenging.
The clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had! Great service, nice atmosphere and high quality food!
Great place for seafood. Their selection of oysters is noteworthy. Great Bloody Mary’s.
Great menu, friendly service, nice atmosphere, fantastic key lime pie.
We met our son and daughter-in-law along with some family friends for dinner after touring the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waiter was extremely helpful and gave us great guidance on drink and meal choices. The oyster dozen sampler plate is well worth the cost alone. This place was a real gem and we’ll be back if we’re in the Long Beach area any time soon! Highly recommended!!
The food was phenomenal! From when we were greeted and seated, the staff was welcoming. Our waitress was present, but not intrusive. We will be back!
No quibbles on the surprisingly good food quality -- Connecticut lobster roll was on point; fresh fish. Saturday night and the streets outside were party town, but the kitchen and staff really wanted to rush and usher us out with no option for ordering dessert. Also the strict one-drink at a time policy was off-putting.
The Miso Yaki sea bass is amazing. We also love the sushi and desserts here.
Great service, food and ambience!
Food and bloody Mary’s were fantastic as was the service!
I have always enjoyed King's, especially the clam chowder. The waiter was lousy. He was inattentive. He did nothing to make our experience better. When we needed anything we had to figure out how to get his attention--a real pain!
The service was so poor that I only tipped 15% and that was because I know the service team splits and I did not want to cheat the bussers.
The food was excellent and Kings provided a good meeting place for my associate and me.
Great Bar. Great food. Great ambiance. Great service. Need I say more?
Prompt attention when seated and thru out the meal. Food served at proper temperature and cooked as ordered. We also have gone to the one in Victoria Garden and have always enjoyed our time.
It was great
Cute lil waitress , good food and the ambiance is wonderful . Variety of food
