King's Fish House - Laguna Hills
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable. The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about- and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!
We had 6 oysters, 2 kinds from Washington state added Fresh shrimp to oyster platter. Came with the house made jalapeño sauce and fresh horseradish. Seared albacore sushi roll was also very good!
Always great service and superior seafood!
First time there. Food was very tasty. Kids menu items are a little overpriced for the quality.
The oyster bar and bartenders rock, if we go back it would be for apps/oysters and then somewhere else for dinner. It is not a bad place, but not worth the money.
Food was very good.
Some of our food was cold and this is not the first time
That has happened
service was in attentive
and we had gnats flying around our table
Server Becca was awesome, super nice! Always feel welcomed at King’s, it’s a neighborhood favorite for a reason. Underrated sushi!
Food was bad, product knowledge was not sufficient
Very good food and service. Third time I’ve been here. If you want to talk it’s good to reserve an outside table because it can get noisy on the inside. I had the whole fish which was excellent$29. Also , ordered 6 chilled jumbo shrimps with cocktail sauce $14. Very good. Nice large walnut salad as a side.
Food is okay. I ordered the king salmon and asked for it to be cooked medium rare. It came out well done. Our server was very nice and replaced the whole dish, salmon, potatoes and vegetables! I thought that was excellent service. I do like the fact that with an entree you get a choice of 2 sides. I might go back but it would not be my first choice.
King's Fish House has become the go-to place when we get together with family. The ambiance is excellent. The food has been consistently excellent. Mgr Brooks and waitress Melissa were tremendous and looked out for my wife's allergies. We will be back!
Food, as usual, was delicious! Very fresh fish, prepared perfectly, and very tasty. One of my favorite local restaurants for a really good fresh fish meal.
The sand dabs were perfect as usual. Fish chowder was great. The wedge salad was great size for sharing. Salmon salad excellent. The bread pudding for dessert was great. Kings is one of our favorite places to dine .
The waiter who served us was not much anxious to serve. His tone and demeanor was lacking customer friendliness. He just stopped by three time, to take order, to bring drink and bread and leave us the bill.
He had two glasses for sparking water into each other and two wedges of lime on the top glass when he brought those over. He did not bother to split the lime wedge after he pulled the glasses apart!
The food was excellent, but could have been warmer then it was. Mac and Cheese was great but not hot enough and my asparagus, which is an up charge, was also not hot enough. We did have a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of checking in and the service was great considering they were busy. I recommend the grilled Sea Bass. It was delicious.
We had a booth on the outside patio. It was quiet and the service was outstanding. The food, as always, was delicious. The sand dabs are wonderful!
Sasha was a very good and attentive server and everyone enjoyed their dinner.
Make sure to get a table reserved through open table, I have gone there without reservations and noticed plenty of open tables yet I had to wait. I think they reserve tables for open table.
I put on the reservation that it was our anniversary. There was no acknowledgment of that,
I don't mean to be so appreciative, but King's always delivers. We had a lovel setting (on the patio), fine service and wonderful food. Not cheap, but worth the money.
I always enjoy dining at King's Fish House in Laguna Hills. I brought my Grandad to celebrate his 89th birthday. We were greeted by their wonderful Hostess, Lilly, who is always so friendly. We had Larry as our server, who is always so delightful and attentive. My Grandad and I both got the lobster clambake. The lobster was so sweet, and the clams were the best I've ever eaten. We both really enjoyed it and will definitely go back again to get it again.
My first visit to this Fish House. Love the food and the service. We will be back. Great job from the entire staff.
King’s does not disappoint. Always great good at a decent price. So many options. From your basic grilled fish to live fresh lobster to cold seafood platters and even steaks for the land lubbers.
Always a go to for good food, great service and the best clam chowder!
Worst Calamari I've ever had. i should have sent it back. Waiter never asked how food was.
The sea bass was amazing and everyone at our table loved their meal!
Fish was perfectly fresh, grilled. We had Salmon and Sea Bass. Baked potato was perfect as was assorted veggies. Service was excellent. We had some complex timing with a portion to go. There was a mess up in the Kitchen that caused significant delay. We did not complain yet, but Server engaged manager, who then came out to explain the situation and helped with the Bill to help compensate. Mistakes happen but this was handled perfectly well.
I have been here two times in the last month, and will be coming more frequently. They have earned my business for sure.
We had a great time. The food was marvelous. Our server was very nice and attentive. We would highly recommend King's Fish House.
My wife got the Macadamia Nut crusted Halibut which she always gets but this time the fish was very wet and greasy for some reason. Her mashed potatoes also looked runny and thin. This was our first bad experience but it was a Wednesday so. It sure how the kitchen messed up considering it wasn’t super busy like a weekend would be. Chalking it up as a $100 loss.
My wife and I both had two pound lobsters and they were awesome! We really enjoy King's.
Superb service, great food, good location with plenty on close parking.
The service was great and the food was delicious ! The value is good too. We are happy to eat at King's Fish House.
Salmon season continues! I loved the sauce for the salmon cakes and their sushi is very underrated.
Portion was perfect and bread with butter was so good.
The atmosphere and food were fresh and great!
I enjoyed all the good bread and butter too. ;)
Next time I’d rather come back soon and try grilled fish!!!
Food was very good. Fish is always fresh.
Always consistent, always delicious, always a favorite!
Service was fine, pleasant atmosphere not too noisy. The food was poor. Salad greens wilted, mediocre salmon cakes, small and oily. The rice was okay. Key lime pie tasted out of a box. The sour dough bread was really good.
Great food, horrible service. The waiter had us go to the bar to get our own tobacco sauce. Extremely slow even though there weren’t many others in the restaurant.
Love this place. Great food, ambience. Service is always good 👍👍
