King's Fish House - Calabasas
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.
The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about — and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!

Restaurant itself was lively and lovely as always and the service was very good. My main complaint was the food we were served. It was just average. We have been going to Kings for years and have always had a delicious meal. We shared the ahi salad and the beet salad. Very little flavor in the ahi salad and expensive for the portion. My beet salad had a tiny piece of foil in it.
The saving grace was the tasty martini!
As always staff was amazing and food was above par. It was hot and loud outside but that is not the restaurants fault. Kings is my go to place for special birthdays and anniversaries. Best experience, great fresh seafood, and the most friendly faces
Thank you so much King's Fish House! Our waitress was fabulous!
Amazing food and amazing service! My sister and I had the most perfect table and everything we asked for, we had! Great service and delicious food!
Great place for seafood and raw bar and drinks-- outdoor and indoor seating as well as bar seating. Highly recommend this place!
they handle fish like real pros. The cadillac margarita is smooth and so yummy.
This place was awesome!! Food was really good and the service was fantastic. When in town again will stop by.
Fantastic seafood. Varied menu and lovely atmosphere. Attentive wait staff.
The ambiance was amazing. The service was unfortunately not. Our server didn’t return to our table for long periods of time. They came by only 3 times over the course of the evening, each within 30-40 minute increments. An hour and a half dinner turned into 3 hours since we had to wait so long. When we finally received the food, our steaks were well done when we ordered medium rare. And our side orders were cold since they were sitting for a while. However, most of the other food prepared was delicious. The ambiance was so nice that I would genuinely be willing to return if the service was better. I wouldn’t recommend dining here if you have somewhere to be or if you order anything other than fish.
The food is always fresh. I sat by the fountain for a view and it was nice! I’ve been here 3 times now and it’s one of my go to spots. It’s a nice dining experience with a well rounded menu and good service. Would go there solo to have lunch, take a date, or nice for a family vibe as well . Try it, I’m sure you will find something you like about it
Good Food. Good Service. Fast service. Friendly Staff.
Excellent food and service, and a reliable go to place for fish entrees.
Absolutely great service
We’ve been there before and enjoy the food outside seating is best for me though and it wasn’t available. I have cancer and shouldn’t be indoors. We eat out almost every Saturday night most other great restaurants are more accommodating.
We were a party of six, had a great table inside but by the door to the patio. The sourdough bread was heavenly, as usual, and we all enjoyed our variety of dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. A great evening!
Food and service were very good. Waitress could have been a little more attentive.
Great seafood with a nice ambiance. Definitely would recommend it for special occasions or a night out for dinner.
We went to Kings to celebrate our son’s girlfriends
Loved the food & the ambience of the restaurant.
I LOVE King's Fish House! It is my go to spot for the weekends and for special events. I can't wait to come back on Father's Day to celebrate my dad. The mixed green salad is the best salad in all the valley! I love the trout and sweet buttered corn. Next time I come, I will order crab legs.
The service is awful. I literally had to go after our server each time to order, to request also just to pay.
Good is fair. But service is awful.
It was wonderful as, usually, our experiences have been at King’s. We were a first seating ~ so there was a delay in our sushi order. An employee came to apologize and offer us a complimentary clam chowder or other menu item while we awaited our order.
As always friendly service good food
Our server was borderline rude and acted like he was doing us a favor. Not the typical Kings Fish House experience. The smaller oysters had a scent.
Felt like a special occasion because we have not gone out very much AND we ran into friends who joined us for dinner! The food was good and we were able to enjoy being outside.
Portion size has gotten smaller and prices have gone up. We would prefer now to drive out to Lure in Westlake even thou its further, food is better and so is portion size. Last time at Kings, it took 1 hour and 5 min for the food to come, manager came over and apologized, we expected maybe he would offer a free desert or something. nada.
This was our third time going out for dinner since the pandemic! We chose King's at the Commons because it is one of our favorite restaurants. Everything was perfect! Excellent service, perfect ambiance, delicious food. We'll be back very soon.... maybe next week.
Food was great as always, our server was spread a little too thin, which impacted our service. I understand that during these exceptional times, we are all appreciative and understanding. Look forward to next visit.
Love Kings Fish House, especially if we can eat outside. Inside is a little darker then I prefer. The fish is always cooked perfectly and the sides choice is very good. Service is great.
Great food as always~. We have been going there for years even before the remodel.
Had a nice meal with our family celebrating a graduation
I love the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant, inside and outside – lI definitely would return to try more dishes. The scallops and shrimp were amazing Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
Birthday celebration, great food, great service.
The grilled shrimp and scallops were excellent...
We were there for oysters and softshell crabs and this time King's was total home run with a 4PM outside reservation. The oysters didn't show any signs of seasonal "creaminess". They were succullent and extremely fresh. The crabs were cooked to perfection, not too salty. Service was attentive and cordial.
I always love the miso seabass . Tried the octopus appetizer which was delicious too!
We were there for lunch. We are regulars here, and the food and service have always been good. However, this time, King deserves a sixth star if it were possible, all thanks to our waiter Marcus. Needless to say I rewarded him well for his impeccable work. Keep it up, King’s!
I feel like I was treated as a second class citizen. Your hostess wanted to sit us in the bar area when there was many tables in the main dining room. I had to speak up to be seated where I believe I should of sat in the first place.
The last time I came to your establishment with a reservation I was not recognized by the hostess, I was asked to stand on the side, and after ten minutes walked away.
Horrible costumer service, managers should hire more people to serve, and professionals one, and teach them how to serve tables when bringing wine have glasses too, not to wait 15 minutes, overpriced everything, cocktails menu really not impressing, this place was a lot better before covid
Love this place. Our reservation time was honored, great table, great waiter, great food. We’re From New Jersey and Try to get there every time we are back in Calabasas visiting our children.
The dinner was very good---I liked my fresh Halibut from Alaska and my wife liked her lobster roll. The service was only fair since our server was all over the place handling tables both inside and outside with some help, but not enough to provide us with good service. We had to ask for refills and more napkins, and he basically didn't pay much attention to us after the order was taken and delivered. I think the restaurant needs more servers to handle the dinner crowd.
