   The food is excellent and the ambience of the restaurant is nice. It is a tiny bit loud but not enough to take away from the dining experience. The service is meh (i.e., not bad at all and not particularly good). Plan on waiting a good amount of time before you see your server in between visits. In other words don’t let your water or drinks get empty folks. 😆 I’d definitely dine there again because the food is awesome. I had the sand dabs with grilled asparagus and garlic mash potatoes was so DELICIOUS and satisfying.

    King's Fish House seafood is always very good! We ordered fish and chips, shrimp cocktail, lobster sandwich, and the terrific clam chowder. We made reservations as we always do and they seated us promptly. Parking is always available, noise level is moderate, and staff is friendly. The only challenge is after the food is served and we are eating - there never seems to be a follow-up for refilling our drinks. We always have to flag someone down and ask them for a refill of our coffee, iced tea, bread and butter etc. This has happened the last three times we dined here. I do not like to complain since we really enjoy the food here - but it is something that needs to be addressed.

    We love King’s — so fortunate that it’s near us. The seafood and various beverages always meet our needs, even on the occasional “off” night. Now that we book earlier, getting a table for on the weekends is more likely. Don’t delay, though — reserve at least a day ahead if you can. Hope to see you there!

    We were celebrating our cousins' 92nd and 93rd birthdays. Our waiter, Nick, was very patient as we took our time to order. The shrimp Louis had lots of shrimp, but the dressing was so bland that it added nothing to the taste. We had to ask for balsamic vinegar to see if we could "perk" it up. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, and the birthday honorees were delighted. Thanks for a great evening.

    We were seated on the lower outdoor patio which is somewhat less busy than the rest of the restaurant. This is nice but you are closer to the street so you get some occasional noise. Our server was friendly but a bit inattentive over the course of our meal. Once again I think our location had something to do with it. The food….everything was very good! The Macadamia Crusted Halibut, N’awlin’s BBQ Shrimp, Sashimi, Sushi, Wedge Salad and BUTTER CAKE! The Grilled Jumbo Artichoke was the only exception. It was too undercooked and tough to get anything off the leaves. We had a very pleasant evening overall and I definitely recommend this restaurant.

    My family are frequent guests despite the fact that we live in Malibu and it's a 30 min drive. This time we asked for an outdoor table and also brought a small dog along. The owner told us they did receive the reservation from OT but no notes regarding the table and dog. The restaurant was very busy due to the graduation that week. We were asked to wait while the owner was trying to accommodate our group of 5. And what a relief - he managed to seat us outside in the shade with the dog. Molly, the waitress, did an outstanding job despite two rookies at the bar and overall very crowded environment. Food was as delicious as ever. Overall - great experience and we'll return to KFH soon. Thank you Alex

    Last evening my girlfriend and I celebrated a birthday at King's Fish House in Calabasas. Our reaction was mixed. The staff and in particular our waitress was very helpful. The food itself was excellent. Alas, the way in which our order was processed was less than fully adequate. I ordered King's macademia encrusted halibut. It arrived with several side dishes. While the halibut was warm enough to eat, the side dishes were not. So we sent the side dishes back. A bit later my girlfriend's lobster and side dishes arrived. They were barely warm. So lest my halibut become too cold to eat, I ate it by myself. Eventually my girlfriend's lobster and side dishes arrived again. Clearly they had simply been reheated. As I had already finished entree, now it was my turn to watch my girlfriend eat. When you order a lobster, you should be freshly cooked. When you are dining with another person, you expect both orders arrive properly cooked at the same time. Still, everything was well prepared and eventually tasted well. Also on their own initiative the restaurant manager partially compensated us for their mishandling of our order. We suspect that currently King's may be having staffing issues, resulting in delays in the delivery of cooked orders. Though it was Saturday night, the restaurant was not especially crowded. Whatever their issue, clearly the manager was aware of the difficulty. Hopefully it will be resolved in the near future. In any event, we definitely plan to dine at King's in the future.

    it took the waiter 20 minutes to bring us water and bread. We ordered a salad that took 40 minutes to get to us, by that time our dinner was brought to us. they messed up the order, and our food was not up to par. We had to eat our dinner so fast that we couldn't even enjoy it. We did tell the server that we had a movie to get to, but that didn't seem to matter

    We sat outside in one of the booths where we could hear the waterfall on the corner. Our server was fantastic and took great care of us, especially our 5 and 7 year old. Our server even had the kitchen cut of the crust on the 5 year old’s grilled cheese sandwich. So attentive. Perfect dining experience.

    For Sunday on a holiday, Mother’s Day, it was not that busy. Or at least, towards the end of the night when we had our reservations. The staff was great, the ambience was amazing, the restaurant was very clean. Our food got out to us in a timely manner. Would come again, I really like that the menu changes often, so it always keeps us on our toes. Oh, I also got fresh oysters, amazing and a great price!

    It’s Mothers Day and my son brought me for lunch. Everything was fantastic! The hostess was very nice and seated us in a booth. My son ordered a Dozen oysters and love them. We also had crabcakes and Ahi Poke! Amazing!! We both ordered fish from the grill, he had the Mahi-mahi Cajun style love loved it with macaroni and cheese and salad. I had their Chile Seabass with brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese. There was so much food that we had to bring some home. We finished the meal with bread pudding which almost took us out. Lol. It was a huge portion and delish! The best Mothers Day all around and lunch was the Best!

    Went with another couple for dinner on a Saturday evening. We requested outdoor seating which made for a nice night as the weather was great! For appetizers, everyone enjoyed the oysters on ice and I really liked the shrimp taquitos. I ordered halibut and it was cooked perfectly - moist and tender. Wife had the sand dabs and said she would order them again when we go back. I would say they have a good bar menu as everyone enjoyed their cocktails. Service was also very good.

    I absolutely love, kings fish house! I continue to go every year for Mother’s Day, and whenever we can. The food is always fresh and amazing with amazing drinks I highly recommend oh, and don’t forget the fresh sourdough bread which is definitely a favorite.
