I didn't specifically care too much for my dish but my wife enjoyed hers and the appetizers were very good
I had the grilled sea bass was a little mushy for me
We were impressed with the way Kingfisher is handling social distancing. They require masks for entry and are seating people at very nicely situated, social distanced tables. Thanks for that social conscientiousness.
Wonderful place to relax and have conversations while enjoying great food and drinks.
Food was absolutely fantastic. I am from the coast of Massachusetts so pretty particular about seafood. This place is amazing for quality and taste.
It is my opinion that Kingfisher is the very best restaurant in Tucson. I say that as a well-travelled experienced fine diner. I’m unimpressed with what Tucson considers/provides as fine dining. Kingfisher, however is an exception to that.
Dine here. You’ll be pleased.
Kingfisher is our favorite seafood restaurant in Tucson. We always look forward to coming and we particularly look forward to the road trip menus. However this menu was overwrought and over cooked. My wife’s scrod was rubbery. My lobster tails and the salmon mousse on top did not go together and was a discordant taste. This is the one time that I have been dissatisfied with the food. We will be returning but we were disappointed.
Kingfisher never disappoints. I wish they had had baby backs, but chest la vie. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Simply presented, competently prepared, our dinners and evening in general was satisfactory. A little heavy with salt, otherwise very good salads and mains. Dessert, though, was outstanding. I'd go back just for the dessert course.
The waiter in our area was overwhelmed. While other staff did step in, the wait time for service was noticable.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent enforcement of social distancing made a Friday evening dinner with friends from out of town perfect. We have been to many Tucson venues maxing their occupancy limits on a Friday evening and conversation across the table was almost impossible without yelling. K/F, keep the limited seating! The food and service is totally worth whatever the ticket ends up. P.S. Our OoT friends LOVED your tour of the U.S. menu. THANK YOU!!!
The fish was excellent and the staff totally customer oriented.
Excellent meal and overall experience ! Noise level is much better with fewer tables.
Fried octopus was decent. Chilled shrimp were lacking in presentation. My ribs were 2 out of 10, hardly any meat. My friends fish was fine. The chocolate cake was really bad. And the lavender cookies on the side of creme brûlée were horrible
The food, drinks, and service are always amazing! If you have a chance to come during their summer menu definitely get the lobster tails with risotto.
Awesome food, server was very familiar and helpful with my gluten free requests. Will come back!
Good fish - A rare treat in the desert! We had a lovely meal and can't wait to go back.
Eric and the team always do a fantastic job. This our favorite place in the Southwest.
It was great to back at the Kingfisher. Food and ambiance excellent.
Oysters were excellent as was the rest of the meal! A lovely evening.
Food was wonderful, wait staff a bit overwhelmed, but looks like they were short a person...all in all, excellent.
Awesome place ,food and service was first class and I am looking forward to going back.
Noted we were celebrating birthday when reservation made - no mention of birthday made by anyone. We realize restaurants are having difficulty getting people to work; however, service was not good. The only one who did come by was the ‘bus person’ who quickly took our plates away and did respond to a request for salt and pepper. Food was average at best (potato salad was excellent).
Our favorite restaurant. Great food, excellent and inventive cocktails, extensive wine list, you can’t go wrong here!
Food, service, ambience just not good enough to justify the price.
The service was good but since we didn't order all at once we got a little left behind for ordering the main course. The food was decent but not great. We had 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Oysters Rockefeller and Calamari. The oysters were a little tired. The Calamari was good but didn't knock me over. Some pieces were a little overcooked. We had a sea bass that came with a salsa, beans, and rice. Again it was decent. I had the bison ribeye med rare which was very good. It had crispy potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was not the highest quality and there was very little of it.
Kingfisher remains the go to location for seafood in Tucson. There is an extensive and varied menu, with great appetizers as well as well executed entrees.
Everything was delicious and service was excellent. In the time of COVID, we appreciated their requirement to wear masks when moving throughout the restaurant , that the staff were masked, and that the tables were distanced with every other booth left empty. We value restaurants that are being responsible and will be back
Good menu and prices
Reception kindly let us park in carry out designated parking as lot and street were totally occupied
Appetizer order was slightly wrong, ordered clams and got mussels but we kept both and paid for both
Dinner order was slightly reversed and kitchen quickly corrected
Overall, another restaurant that’s very busy and probably understaffed in kitchen and wait staff
Perfect all the way. The food, the service, the ambiance with soft jazz playing in the background. Topped off with strawberry pound cake. Our server Annie was knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails. She also had a great personality.
Excellent food and service. Loved the jazz music which was such a relief and wasn't so loud that you can't talk to others at your table. Wonderful to have fresh fish prepared just right in Tucson. I have so missed eating pike. We will return again and again.
As always, excellent food and superior service!
little disappointed with the variety on your menu. The best dish was the fried cod, as in fish and chips.
One of the best meals we have ever had! My husband had the trout and I had the Walleye from the special menu. The wait staff was excellent. Ambience is the best, as usual! It was my birthday and I wouldn’t spend it anywhere else!
I really like this restaurant. The food is excellent and even with all the current issues, the service was very very good. Another feature is it was quiet and you could enjoy talking with your guests.
Great food and service. Too loud for we old folk but we have come to terms with that
No complaints, good food good service, very nice ambiance, would recommend and will return
Excellent food, exemplary service. Good wine selections. Extra points for the piped-in jazz, displayed art, general setup and overall ambiance. The best meal I have had in weeks. Will definitely return with friends. A wonderful, relaxing, and delicious experience.
The food was outstanding and our waitress guided us through the summer menu and we were thrilled. The oysters Rockefeler were outstanding and the shrimp cake was delicious.
Our only complaint was we went to the resturant because the website indicated they had lobster rolls. No lobster at this time (too expensive).
Smoked Ruby Trout was outstanding. My companions reported Steelhead Trout, Fish and Chips, and New York Strip all delicious, as well.
