Our recent dining experience at the Kingfisher bar and Grill was wonderful. Our waiter Elijah was very accommodating and always checking on us to make sure our needs were satisfied. Without hesitation I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a good dinner. Both my wife and I enjoyed the mahi-mahi dinner, the fish was cooked perfectly, it arrived on hot plates which few restaurants do in this day an age. The sides were very delicious presentation was beautifully designed.

Good, sometimes unusual seafood options. Broth with steamed clams was very good, took the rest home with me, not my usual practice. Lamb shank cassoulet was also tasty, though without the dark top crust some aficionados insist is obligatory. Somewhat pricey, but once or twice a year for a special occasion, what the hey.

As a long time patron, my husband and I often celebrate at Kingfisher! We love the service, the personnel that wait on us and the cuisine is very delicious whether we have lunch or dinner.
Thanks for making our special occasions so very memorable!

Terrific food, nice ambiance. A little pricey for just going out for fun on a weekend night, but on our A-list as a place to bring visitors. Highly recommend it.

We go there for their seafood. Their fresh oysters can be awesome, but they usually have entree fish preparations that are excellent as well.

For a second time, we have seen this restaurant allow regular pets (not service animals) to be SEATED AT A TABLE - and they do not have outside seating. Last evening they allowed a group of people to put a dog in their restaurant high-chair for children. At another time they allowed a dog to be seated in a regular seat with it's paws on the table - although we left before we found out if they served the dog food. When I approached the host about this practice, they would only reply that the patrons were "very good customers". Apparently you have to eat there on a regular basis in order to commit a health code violation. Won't go back, and I don't really see how Open Table can continue to promote this restaurant. Wish I had taken a picture so I could upload the photo for your website.

You cannot go wrong choosing Kingfisher for any special occasion. The service is always excellent and the food! The food is second to none. Try to leave room for dessert.

I scheduled a surprise Birthday Dinner for my wife. Our friends showed up before us and were, in the middle of a busy restaurant, hiding their faces behind their menus. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The food was outstanding and the our server was spectacular.

Birthday dinner date was perfect! My favorite seafood in Tucson (originally from NJ, so I know seafood and am very picky here in Tucson). Clam chowder was on point, lobster roll was delicious, salmon was excellent. Nice wine selection, reasonably priced. Quiet, warm atmosphere, classic jazz. Nailed it!

Good food and service, with a varied selection of options. Same goes for the beer menu. Only downfall was the noise. The tables are closely spaced and we happened to be there during a U of A football game, so there was a lot of noise (including from one of the TVs, which had its sound on quite at high volume).

This restaurant was a gamble. I looked up seafood restaurants in Tucson and this popped up. I believed there was a good chance that this place would be mediocre at best. Boy was I wrong. The place was packed, the wait staff were very friendly, and the food was phenomenal. For being in the desert, the seafood was incredible. I will highly recommend this place to all my friends and will definitely be coming back.

We've visited Kingfisher on a number of occasions and have always been satisfied. This latest dinner was true to form.
All meals were enjoyed. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. Drinks were good though I wasn't overly excited with the reds offered by the glass.
The first time we dined here my wife fell in love with their house warm cabbage salad. As usual it was excellent!
Will certainly bring guests here without any qualms!

Excellent, creatively prepared seafood, attentive staff, warm ambiance. Nice wine list. Visited frequently their now closed sister restaurant, Blue Fin, so now drive an hour to Kingfisher infrequently, regrettably.

Hard to find good seafood in Tucson. It was great. Only concern was the noise level. The room is built well to hold the number of folks with noise reduction built into the overhead and walls. But it was still very difficult to hear my bride on our 28th wedding anniversary. That might be more due to my age then their atmosphere. But it was hard to have a nice dinner. Bring the noise level down 20dB and it wold have been a five star experience.

Kingfisher deserves its reputation of the best seafood in Tucson. We had grilled sea bass tostadas and the smoked rainbow trout for lunch entrees. We had the peeled shrimp apetizer. There were great daily fish specials selections. The exterior of the restaurant is not impressive, but once inside, the atmosphere was transformed. It was our first time here and our waitress was very helpful in explaining the specials and the preparation of various dishes. Great job. The wine list is excellent, featuring fine wines by the glass as well as a variety of half bottles. We look forward to returning.

This local treasure is always worth the expense. Food is first rate, service is personal ( our waitress has served us on several prior visits), atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and intimate.
The oysters are always premium NW Pacific and special! For those who drink alcohol, the bar makes wonderful drinks and non-alcoholic creations are possible as well. Desert is a must after a great meal and Kingfisher rises to the occasion here as well. The cheesecake on this visit was primo! We'll return again and again!

Overall the food was good and a little high. The guys ordered fish and chips and said it was overdone. They said it tasted like it was burned. The other 2 fish dinners, salmon and bass were great.
The restaurant was exceptionally clean and nicely presented. The attendees were very nice.

We were promptly seated and then the night went downhill. After waiting several minutes for our drink order to be taken, we again waited for our drinks. After requesting bread 2 times, we eventually received it.
The waiter was ill informed about the cut of the special, redfish, and discouraged the ordering of sea bass, describing it as a thick steak cut. When it arrived, it was a thin filet. The redfish had a bit of a fishy taste, and was overcooked. None of us would return to this restaurant.

Been here several times for special occasions; anniversaries, birthdays, business meetings, etc. All was very good except one "Best of the summer dishes" called "seafood paella". First of all the oysters were great, the spicy calamari was excellent and the soft shell crab was good (a little too dry and plainly breaded for our taste to all it great. However, the main dish mentioned above was too bland and contained 3 times more vegetables; artichoke, tomatoes, etc. than the actual seafood; 6 muscles, 3-4 scallops and 3-4 shrimp. The waiter was excellent and offered to replace it with something else, but by that time the other items and excellent sourdough bread had already filled us up, so we declined. Instead we opted for the anniversary creme brulee desert, which was excellent. Yes, we'll return, just select a different entry like the stuffed trout we loved on a previous anniversary if it ever returns to the menu.

This long time Tucson favorite is the best place to get great fish dishes. Having said that, I got their lamb dish which was wonderful - perfectly cooked and tasty. The drinks are well composed and there is a good selection of wine by glass and half-bottles as well as the traditional full bottle. The place has recently been remodeled in it's old style. The booths are comfortable and are old style.

Kingfisher is always a joy for great seafood. We love the Road Trip especially. We have three favorite regular servers for several years now. I specifically requested any of our three favorite servers on my open table reservation. After being seated at the table, I was very disappointed to find out that somebody I didn't know or recognize was our server while the other three were still there covering tables. When each stopped by to say, "Hi! What's up with not requesting me?!?" The request was not noticed by the host. I won't rely on the special requests field in the future. Regardless, the food was great. New server was, well, ok.
