The best restaurant in town for all things seafood along with excellent side dishes. Also, a unique cocktail menu and friendly service. Simply, our favorite place to dine, overall.
From the moment we were greeted at the door the staff were awesome, the food outstanding and the evening a total pleasure. We will be back soon!
As always, an incredible experience. Thank you
Outstanding meal! We have to save up a little extra to eat here, but you get what you pay for!
Mostly empty dining space because of the dreaded covid, so the noise level was very low :)
Social distancing and safety observed. Same great food and service!
I had the ahi tuna dinner special, grilled medium rare. It was fabulous! The service was great, too. I will be back, for sure.
Food and service were both outstanding. Kingfisher never disappoints. So glad they are doing dine in again.
It was so great to have Kingfisher open again. We had a great dinner. Started with their bread with a pesto spread and the cesar salad. Had the ever amazing grilled then chilled shrimp as a starter!! Enjoyed entrées of the lobster roll and the fish and chips. We finished off the meal with the incredible toffee cheesecake. Everything was perfect. Our only complaint was that the serving staff was wearing gloves, which is incredibly unsanitary. Just have them was their hands often, it's far more effective. But the service was great, as usual and GM is awesome with guests. It was great to dine there once again.
Welcome back! Great service, food, and value; what else can one ask for.
Best place we have found for fish by far in Tucson, and among the best fish waitstaff very careful with masks and handling issues. Waitstaff friendly and helpful, great service. Not very busy for an early lunch just after reopening; hope it gets busier quickly since I want it to survive. Not inexpensive but worth it. Our 2nd trip here (first was pre-pandemic and very busy but acceptable noise level then and still good service). Food great both times.
Some of the best little-necks and mussels west of Provincetown. If you're looking for fresh fish and/or shellfish expertly prepared & delicious look no further & you won't be disappointed. No its not the Tadich Grill but then again you don't have to drive 13 hours for great seafood.
Great to be able to dine-in here! Lovely meal with very conscientious social-distancing.
Great dinner! I recommend this place for a date or just casual dining.
Shady looking restaurant. Food was just okay.
delicious food, flexible menu, prompt and excellent service
Salmon and sea bass were extraordinary
Always excellent: service, food, ambiance and we can hear each other speak!!!
Great first-time experience! We enjoyed the food. We did mark on the reason for our visit that we were celebrating a birthday on the OpenTable app; yet no one asked us about that. We ordered dessert. We did see lots of birthday candles on other desserts going out to other tables.
Always a local favorite restaurant, healthy food and filling portions. Left full with a feeling of having ate a balanced meal.
Food was awesome, table was cozy and had a great vibe. Table next to us was loud and drunk but that's not Kingfishers fault. Waiter was Sampson, he did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable. He made excellent recommendations on the special as well as a wine pairing for the meal. Would highly recommend for exceptional meal.
Excellent food and service; parking can be difficult
Excellent seafood and service. It was not a busy night so very quiet experience which was just fine by us. Tried the warm cabbage salad and it was very tasty with bacon, Gorgonzola and pecans .
Great warm cabbage salad. A little pricey but worth it.
There aren't words to explain how much we love Kingfisher. First, FISH in the desert? Yes! The fish is always perfectly prepared and so fresh! My husband and I have been going to Kingfisher for years. We brought our teenage daughter for the fist time a little over a year ago, now we aren't allowed to go without her. We go before our reservation, we have clams and a cocktail in the bar before dinner. We have a fabulous dinner in our own time, never rushed, the service from the bus boys to the servers is exceptional. The food is spectacular and we try to order different dishes but we do have our favorites. We just love Kingfisher!
Thanks to Samson, the chef, and to the entire staff, we had another great dinner at Kingfisher Saturday evening!
Why eat anywhere else? Great food, service and atmosphere.
We had a party of 4. The food was excellent. The cocktails were on the expensive side but were very well mixed. A little on the noisy side. Would we go back? - Absolutely.
The service was good, our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent and the Hawaiian fish was exceptional. I can't eat the spinach that comes with the fish and asked for the coleslaw, it was the best I have ever had. We had a wonderful meal.
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. The only problem was finding a parking place.
Love this place, but asked for my salad (entree) to have the dressing on the side. It came fully dressed. Mentioned it to our server who semi acknowledged it but then asked “well did we do the rest of it right ?” and listed several items I had not wanted included. I said ”yes you did, but you had the dressing on it not on the side”.. His response, but the rest of it was right, correct? Anyhow I didn’t know it was a contest!
Finding excellent seafood in Arizona is pretty difficult, now my go to restaurant is Kingfisher!
Excellent all the way around with great service, great food in a great atmosphere.
The menu isn't as extensive as with some fish places, but this is certainly your place if you're an oyster person. Both of our fish entrees were excellent and we loved the oyster stew as well. Service was OK, but this is a good place to eat because the food is excellent.
The food overall was outstanding except for part of my guest's meal. She ordered fish and chip based on my own pass experience and recommendation. I was embarrassed that her french fries which dry and/or over cooked. The waiter was very responsive and accommodating and brought her a separate order. Unfortunately we had finished our meals by the time they brought her additional fries.
Always a pleasure to visit the Fish
Been here many times, mostly special occasions, the oysters (seasonal) was great as always, my wife's grilled whole ruby trout was excellent too. My grilled sea bass on the other hand was tasteless, even with all the lemon thyme aioli • gold beet scallion salad • roasted potatoes • butternut squash • rainbow Swiss chard which was a big disappointment, so I recommend another dish. We've had many, many great experiences here and my wife still enjoyed it enough to take home leftovers, so I just made the wrong choice. The bread and wine were also excellent.
Very nice. Little recognition of our anniversary.
We truly enjoyed our dinner. Each one of us had a different dish and it was extremely tasty and cooked perfectly!
It was difficult to get a drink from the bar as we waited for our table to be ready but otherwise was an excellent experience once again.
We had a lovely dinner with friends. The guys did the chicken dinner( they don’t care for fish ) The girls did the crab cakes (delicious ) and the special fish dinner. We also shared the warm cabbage salad... so yummy! And then we did the special goat cheese cake for our ending and it was just right...not to sweet and light. Our evening was perfect.
