   This was our third visit. We took friends from Colorado and were not disappointed. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable about the dishes. Made good suggestion regarding wine. Attentive. Two parties had the special -Arctic Char and it was delectable. Two had the ruby trout at my suggestion, as I had it previously and loved it. One party had the Hawaiin fish and enjoyed. too full for dessert. What a shame! I could not eat here too often!!

   Our first visit since the transfer of ownership. It was better than ever! Each of us (3) raved about our individual dishes which ran the gamut from oysters to ribs and sea bass to tuna poke with excellent caesar salad. Our server, Ron, thumbs up. Already made reservation for next week.

   Happy to see the change in ownership has not affected the quality of one of our favorite restaurants. The excellent staff has been retained and the food is still fresh an beautifully presented.

   This was the 2nd time we went to Kingfisher. This time for a New Years Eve dinner. Everything was perfect. Great food, old fashioned cocktails, service. We shall return!

   We were there New Years Eve. Seemed a bit short staffed. I had sea bass. It was delicious and my husband had pallea, it was not the best tasting. We waited for some time for our dinners after salads. Overall not as nice a past visits.

    Have never, ever, been disappointed here, and we’ve been going for 10 years. Their fish is prepared skillfully and tastefully. They know seafood must be cooked perfectly or it’s dry, fishy or tasteless. Oysters are always fresh and varied in types and areas harvested. Their “Hawaiian” macadamia nut fresh fish is scrumptious no matter what the fish or preparation. Service is professional and pleasant. Bar is top notch. Best yummy seafood preparations in Tucson.

    Excellent food. It's a great place to celebrate any special occasion. My only issue is parking. It is limited and the front parking lot is a big hard to safely get out of...I ended up driving through the parking lot and exiting past a back parking lot, but space was tight. Even though I don't have kids, I also think they could benefit from having a kids menu and being a bit more kid friendly. This isn't a good place for a 6th birthday party, but 10 year olds could really enjoy it if they could have an option to get something kids would like in a portion size appropriate for kids.

We would love to purchase a neighboring property if one was ever available to convert it into more dedicated parking.     We really enjoyed this place on our last visit to Tucson, but our recent experience was hugely disappointing. We called 90 minutes before our reservation time to advise them we would be 30 minutes late and they did graciously held our table. But things went downhill from there. It took 25 minutes to take our drink orders. The drinks arrived 10-15 minutes later. But then it took another 45 minutes to take our food order. It was like they slow walked us. We eventually got food 1 hour 45 minutes after arrival. The server blamed the kitchen as being slammed. However, not only did two other tables get seated after us, served before us, and paid their bills before we even had food, there was no effort by the server nor the manager to check on us or offer something to alleviate our distress. We were never asked about coffee or dessert. Service was one of, if not the most dismal we have experienced. I left a 15% tip which I regret, but felt bad for the nice hostess Lily and probably an overworked kitchen staff.

    Lobster Roll "advertised" in Tucson Lifestyle with half page photo. Our favorite dish for many years as customers. Taken off the menu.

The lobster roll is a seasonal menu item which is not always available due to the variability of the pricing of lobster. I wouldn't feel right charging a customer $30 for a lobster roll just to cover costs. I apologize that it was unavailable when you arrived, however, it is always noted that the item is seasonal and thus not always available. Thanks for your feedback.

    Since it has recently changed ownership I wanted to give it a try to see what has changed/improved. Unfortunately, it's an old and tired building with decor that has not been updated in a very long time. We went for lunch and were surprised at how quickly the lunch crowd filled the room. The bread is wonderful and the ceviche appetizer we had, was very good. My husband had the red fish special which was very good. I choose the salmon melt sandwich, which was very heavy on the caramelized onions and not so much on the salmon. I was really not happy with the sandwich. Lunch with tip (no alcohol) was $97 and not sure we felt that was a good value for lunch for two. Having said all of that they seem to have a very loyal following and hopefully some updates will be made to the decor to give it a more modern feel. That would go a long way into improving the ambience.

    Food was great. Service slow and spotty…never got asked for a second drink. We would see our waiter every now and then…not sure where he went in the meantime…Desert was terrible…not sure it counts as a desert. But the fish plates were great and we did some good people watching!

    First time disappointed with this place. Not only were they out of a lot… (muscles, cheesecake, clams, and scallops), but what we did order was either over cooked or over salted. The server was also very slow, and there was not a great excuse with it being the end of the night and is being the last table. Just was focused on closing duties is my assumption. Really a poor experience that I was not anticipating.

    Oysters and champagme good, the ribs overcooked and too dry, good flavor. Sea bass in tostada over cooked and also dry. Shame!

    They gave the table to the wrong couple and I had to mention that it’s our anniversary. So overall the experience was not special.

    The Boulliabaise was outstanding as was the stuffed ruby trout filled The seasonal oysters were fresh but very meager and overpriced The dessert menu only had one item an apple tart which we did not get No sides were offered with entrees The service was good but too quick at removing plates with unfinished food.

    Were looking for a special Xmas eve dinner when in from out of town. Food was good but service was not very professional and there was nothing special about the evening. Yes, it was Xmas eve, but the restaurant was open , however staff clearly wanted to be done and it seemed like we were an annoyance to be there. Staff kept asking us if we wanted our food boxed up to go several times while clearly we were actually still dining, and were not dawdling. A bit of a Xmas eve dinner bummer. Hopefully just a Xmas eve misfire.

    High end restaurant. Fabulous seafood, impeccable service. Pricey but well worth the money. A wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve or any special occasion. We have been twice and enjoyed both times!

    Tables and booths well-spaced. Food was creatively prepared and high quality. I had the ruby trout which was the best meal I have had in a restaurant in a long time. A huge portion was served. The only item on the plate I didn't care for was the sauteed Swiss chard. It seemed too bitter. My husband had the Sea Bass, and it was very good. Birthday dessert was ice cream with chocolate chip cookies, and we ordered the cheesecake. a small ball of cheesecake covered in chocolate and served on a sugar shell, very good, but small portion.

    Very, very good. I reserved a table for one on a Tuesday at 5:15pm and the small parking lot was nearly full (I know, everyone dines early in Arizona). I was welcomed as a single diner (thank you!). I loved the decor but it is a bit dark. A perfect martini from the bar. My waiter Bo was very nearly excellent (a delay when my entree was served but not the wine). Excellent menu. Nice oysters and accompaniments (especially the lemon and cilantro mignonette). Very nice ahi tuna entree. Dessert menu was excellent but the cheesecake portion size could be improved. I even ordered a coffee was very good! (something I don’t normally order.). Also, need to mention the servers and bus staff, all very efficient and kind. Very nearly 5*. Make sure to book ahead, this appears to be a popular place…..even the Kingfisher website recommends booking!

    Wonderful service. Our server made some honest recommendations and they enhanced our experience as a result. Using her guidance we selected entrees and starters that were phenomenal. Would absolutely go here again.
