Everything we had was delicious!! Service was great!
Always delicious seafood. Friendly professional service. Old tucson atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Love everything about Kingfisher. The food & service is amazing.
First time back to Kingfisher's in over a year. Overall disappointed. Very loud noises come from front area. Food fair. Prices high. Wine way, way overpriced. $45 for a bottle I can get retail for $12.
My wife and I have been here many times in the past 7 years. This was the most enjoyable experience we have had pretty much any restaurant. The food was great, the service was outstanding and we drove home very happy that we went out that night. Looking forward to returning.
It kinda reminds me of a place that people would come back to again and again. This was our first time there, we were visiting from Phoenix. I would go back again if in the area.
Unfortunately with the COVID-19 rules the atmosphere is probably less interesting than normal.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Kingfisher while in Tucson visiting family. For years I’d heard nothing but great things about “The Fish” and I’m so glad I finally got a chance to come in for lunch. It definitely did not disappoint! Annie was our server and she was both friendly and extremely knowledgeable, providing some excellent recommendations. We started with the shrimp cakes as an appetizer which paired beautifully with the Adelsheim Chardonnay. My sister and I both had the grilled sea bass tostada which was phenomenal—both delicious and creative. I will definitely come back to Kingfisher the next time I’m in Tucson. It truly is a special place!
Excellent experience. Kudos to Chef Murph & Team.
The best in Tucson.
So happy that one of my favorite restaurants is open. Always great food, service and ambiance
First time visiting and we'll be back. Good food and fair prices. Service was great. Seafood fettuccine and the Grilled Sea Bass we're good choices and filling.
One word "Amazing"....Trout, Oysters Rockefeller and Seabass was great. I'll definitely be back!!
There must be a reason why I come back here besides great fresh oysters or the generous portion of mussels or was it the great fish & chips. I could go on but suffice to say if you're looking for fresh fish this place is always near the top of my jaded list of places to dine.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time at a restaurant in Tucson
As always both food and service were excellent. Had my usual trout. My companion had the sea bass. Mussels and oysters rounded out a great meal.
One of the best restaurant for fish at lunch or dinner in all of Tucson. It has been a neighborhood gem for quite some time with the ownership and staff having been there for a long time. The consistency of the food and service is what sets Kingfisher apart from many of the other eating establishments in the Tucson.
It is easy to find and I would suggest reservations.
Excellent food and service. Fresh WA. State oysters , striped bass and red snapper were all exceptional.
Service is always exceptional.
LUNCH WAS VERY GOOD. SERVICE THE SAME. FISH AND CHIPS AND MACADAMIA NUT CRUSTED MAHI MAHI WERE REALLY GOOD.
Food is always excellent, service is great and friendly. Tried the Killer B's cocktail, which contains a beet mixture they make themselves. If you like Bourbon, try it, you will like it
The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. No problem getting seated in a nice banquette and drinks were served promptly. I can't speak for my friends but the presentation of their food was lovely. My salmon caesar was very good, the fish was cooked very well, just a tad on the dry side. The coffee was excellent. A nice, quiet place.
So, so, so glad that "Kingfisher" is back open. And nothing has changed. It's still superb!
Fantastic as usual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD! Eric and Diamond Jim are first class bartenders....always with great suggeations!
Service was slow. Food was okay. Ambiance was cool.
First time, won’t be the last.
Always enjoy kingfisher 123456789012345678901234567890
I think the food was just good but not outstanding. Seasonal oysters were ok. Ive had better, and expensive, market price was $3.00 each. Had to buy bread if you wanted it with your meal. It was a couples 43rd anniversary and two birthdays and didn’t receive any complimentary dessert. Disappointed. Probably won’t go back in the future. A shame since i was expecting a good experience. Waitress was nice tho.
Kingfisher is always a great dining experience. The food is fresh and menu selection available for all guests. Enjoy going to a Tucson Original and always having a good meal.
Best service and food! Oysters were so fresh and delicious we had to order more!
Excellent drinks...excellent food....excellent service. The Ahi Tuna was fabulous
Very good food (fish & chips, salad w/salmon, crusted Hawaiian fish, tuna). Terrific server. Atmosphere kind of blah.
A MUST for seafood. Gulf coast oysters were the best!
Fantastic ambiance, seafood was fresh and delicious, and service was outstanding. They follow all covid protocalls as well. I love this locally owned restaurant.
Kingfisher is a great seafood restaurant. Do not let the older exterior and interior sway you. The food is top quality, the portions are generous, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!
Best dining experience we've had in Tucson, the food was delicious and the ambience quiet and not overwhelming.
We will definitely be back!
Kingfisher is definitely Tucson’s finest seafood restaurant and one of top overall. Our guest said the Caesar salad was the best he has ever had. We all ordered the macadamia encrusted Hawaiian fish but substituted for sea bass. Excellent as always! The service is professional and prompt. So glad to have them back after Covid shut down. We will be back very soon!
Covid-19 protocols were in place with reduced capacity. In fact, once a table was finished, they sat the next guest at an adjacent table, closing off the one that was occupied. It's an old establishment with few updates. Brick walls make it a bit noisy even with acoustic tiles on the ceiling. Food was very good but a bit salty. First choice of wine was out but the replacement was good. The occasion was an anniversary celebration that was on the reservation but never recognized by the restaurant. It's still one of the few places in Tucson for seafood.
The fish was outstanding. Our waitstaff happen to be the bartender and he was wonderful as well.
So glad they're open again! Loved our dinner at an old favorite (we are seafood lovers). While I was planning to have seabass, which they always prepare quite well, when the waiter rattled-off the list of specials, it threw everything off! Great specials, including Maine lobster (how can a Boston-native resist?). It was so delicious! Service was excellence, tables were well-spaced. I marked down for ambiance because we weren't in the main dining room, but in the expansion/private dining room area that they have. Lighting there is a little brighter, and the atmosphere is less inviting, but, again, for the sake of distancing, it's good that they have the extra space, and I was happy to dine there.
