Went to brunch for a girls weekend trip and had the best experience! The food was amazing - flavorful and fun takes on Cajun food. The service was even better! Our server was fun and interactive and attentive to details. He made my bachelorette brunch one of my favorite experiences this trip. Highly recommend!!
This was our last visit to public life before Covid hit the states and we all went into lock down. Was the perfect evening. Service and food were both incredible. We will be back!

The experience was all that we had hoped for. The food was fabulous; well prepared and presented in an eye pleasing manner. The wait staff went above and beyond to meet our needs.

Went here the Saturday of Mardis Gras for brunch and it was perfect. We were able to make a reservation the day of and their menu was perfect for the day. We also got the bottomless Rose and our glass was almost never empty - service was great and would definitely come back.
Best Pimms Cup in the quarter! Try the boudin balls you will not regret it!

Came here for our Valentines Day dinner after having such a wonderful experience last year. They didn’t have the prix fixe menu this year, but the food is absolutely worth the price. We started with their boudin balls as an appetizer and ordered the molasses cured duck breast (which was amazing) and the pepper crusted 16oz ribeye. Everything was cooked exactly how we wanted. They were busy that night so it took a while to get our dinner, but it was really fine. It gave us time to digest our appetizer and get ready for more food. Our drinks were awesome as well. Will definitely be back!
Service was very slow. Drinks were not as ordered. Our food apparently sat in the kitchen for quite some time before it was brought to the table. The food would have been good if it had been served hot and freshly prepared.
Arrived a few minutes early and sat at the bar as there were several seats available. We notified the hostess when we were ready to be seated and were taken to our table immediately. Waitress was very knowlegeable on the specials and even provided us with her "first time customer" meal selections. Service was great. Food was awesome! Had a great Valentine's dinner.
Kingfish is a nice cafe in the French quarter. We were seated and sat for a good fifteen minutes while servers all around us didn’t notice. I had to make direct eye contact with a server to get anyone’s attention. We finally ordered and were served fairly quickly. The food was delicious and the coffee was very good. I did have to get up and approach my server for more coffee. Even with the poor service I would go back in hopes that was just a one off experience. The cochon Benedict was very good but the eggs were over poached.
We've made a point to eat at Kingfish each Lundi Gras as we enjoy the gumbo and food. Always a great experience given with the Mardi Gras crowds. This visit was a complete miss. The corchon sandwich was tasteless, the waitress messed up a soup and salad order (ok, it happens - but it took 15 minutes to get her a salad after correcting it?) food was served without needed utensils, and the hot dishes were warm but not hot. We had to ask for everything that was missing and didn't feel anyone cared if we were happy. They weren't that busy and there were a good number of help working. And we are nice people. I'll probably give them another shot, but it was a big blow to our image of the restaurant. I hope it's not a trend.
Had a great time with my friends. Food was excellent only thing was that the bar could have been a bit faster but it was really busy.

i would not recommend for happy hour. bartender is supposed to handle food orders and food service during happy hour in bar area, which is ridiculous. there are tables in the area and no reason not to have table service. you have to go to the bar to order your drinks and food during happy hour. and the bartender is not interested in doing food. not a good way to win customers!
Took a very long time to get our food.
We had an absolutely amazing time. David went above and beyond to help my wife and I celebrate our baby moon, setting up a space in the private dining room to make sure everything was perfect. LaDonna was an amazing server, and the food was perfect. Could not have asked for a better night or better food.
Bottomless mimosas on a Monday! One of my girlfriends in my party had to take care of business for an hour just as our entrees were served. The waitress took her food and promised hot food when she got back. Awesome customer service!
We were in the French Quarter on a Saturday evening with the kids and looking for a place to eat that was good and didn't have a long wait. We had tried the more tourist driven but consistently solid places near us and had not heard of King Fish. The ratings were good on open table and they had availability right away. It was a little confusing that you check in at the bar area. In fact, we went right past the bar dining area and the nice gentleman up front followed us and helped orient us to check in for our reservation. Our server, Joseph, was fabulous. He talked about all his favorites and when we mentioned our dietary restrictions he steered us towards compatible choices. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food - we were all members of the clean plate club. We live in the DC area now and so appreciate warm French Bread to open our meals in NOLA. We had the garlic crab claws and crawfish dip as starters - we especially savored the crab claws. I had the swordfish special, my daughter had alfredo pasta from the kids menu, my teen son had the shrimp and grits, and my husband had the scallops and pasta. We skipped dessert as we had plans to head to Café Du Monde while we were in town but I bet dessert would be awesome as well.

Kingfish had high reviews on line, however I do not agree. The hostess could not find my reservation, but she kindly seated us within a few minutes. The strange part was most of the tables were empty. Ryan, our server, was delightful and prompt. The food was the biggest disappointment. The poboy had very few shrimp and they were not New Orleans bbq or fried. They were a greasy mess on a large piece of french bread. The highlight was the ceasar salad with kale and creole caesar dressing!
This was my second time coming to Kingfish from out of town and both times everyone in the group has said this was the best shrimp and grits they have ever had! The food is amazing, service is great and bottomless mimosas are the icing on the cake!
It was loud, but there was a parade, so we were expecting it to be loud. The last time I ate there, a few years ago, the food was exquisite, and the tables were covered with fine white linens. Not so now. The food arrived cold, but I was mansplained that mine was cold because there was a "slaw" on the oyster tacos. No, the oysters themselves were cold, as was my husband's gumbo. They heated it up, but shorted me an oyster since I'd already taken a bite. After the apps, we waited, and THEN the server brought out the bread, which would have been great with my husband's gumbo. When I asked for the check, he brought it to my husband. I reminded him that I asked for the check, not him, and he said he always likes to give it to the male. As nice and personable as he was, done and done.
Our dinner was amazing, service was incredible, we were happy with the table that was reserved. The only problem we had was the kitchen was flooding so there was water seeping from the door right by our table. I 100% know they were taking care of it, and the manager even comped appetizers for us due to the inconvenience. But, due to the issue we saw employee behaviors through the swinging door that were a little questionable. But, I would definitely go back, because I know in the restaurant industry these things happen and they took care of their guests through a crisis.
Have been to this restaurant many times before and always had a great experience all round. However, on this occasion we were all utterly appalled at the terrible service. We were sat at a table in ‘No man’s land’ where we were totally ignored by various servers for 15 mins until we started to walk out and the Manager intervened at the door. He promised to make sure we were taken care of and even gave us a free drink. Beyond the free drink, he was invisible. However, when eventually the food came, it was cold. We duly walked out and the manager didn’t pick up on it whatsoever. It will be a long time until we go back there, if ever! The place is perhaps going downhill...
You have got to be kidding??? Nobody addressed us when we walked in for our reservation at 530... and the restaurant was maybe 1/5 filled... if that. Such a poor design plan....there is no front desk/hostess stand so you just walk in from the corner street into the bar for the restaurant... so you immediately feel like your are intruding/ imposing. There is no where to stand except blocking the entrance/ exit. Both of the bartenders (2) mind you and not slammed or full...just grumpily said the hostess was occupied... embarrassingly waited for 6 minutes! She eventually arrived ... again after 6 minutes to take us to our reserved table. It then took our waitress 11 minutes to come by for drink orders... again not even 1/5 filled tables and then disappeared for another 13 minutes...yes by now I am timing everything!!! Our only appetizer order for the table, a crab-leg skillet cake, came out barely warm.... drenched in barely warm hollandaise served in a non warm skillet... what’s the point of the skillet if not to be piping hot???? It took 8 minutes to find our waitress, in an non busy restaurant, to complain...her response was she could take it back to the kitchen to warm up but our entrees were ready for service... we told her skip the reheat and to please make sure our entrees were hot.... not. 2 steaks were warm not hot, swordfish was divine and very hot and the jambalaya was barely warm. No accountability in the kitchen... the manager himself was found eating dinner all by himself at a dinner table and presumably paying bills bc paperwork was scattered all over his dinner table. Hmmm I think there is a better time to process your business paperwork then at a restaurant’s dinner service!!!! Really really lame, unprofessional, and sloppy service. Never ever.
