We are offering breakfast weekdays from 7am-10:30am and lunch from 11:30am-2pm. Our Kingbird Bar hour from 2pm-9pm Tuesday through Fridays. Weekends, we are offering Brunch on Sundays from 11am to 2pm.

Join us for High Tea on Saturday & Sunday 1pm-2:30pm. We require all High Tea reservations to be pre-paid, to make a reservation for High Tea please select the Spill the Tea Experience. For children under 12 please email dining@thewatergatehotel.com.

We are located within The Watergate Hotel, our elegant yet contemporary restaurant features fine dining with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

                                                                                  We had a lovely dinner and loved our server Henry. We felt taken care of and the food was good. Only lower review overall because we did the theater prix fixe at 545pm, after messaging the restaurant, and it did not get us to the play! The service was slow, first course took over an hour, and we had to run to the theater and were not admitted to our 730pm play. Would come back, but not before the theater.

Food was slow coming out of the kitchen and several menu items were “not available “. Desserts were pre-prepared and had a refrigerated taste and appearance. Even though it is close to the Kennedy Center and convenient for pre-theatre, it is not worth it.

                                                                                  My family and I visited the Kingbird one hour and thirty minutes before we intended to go to a show at the Kennedy Center. We arrived at 6 pm and waited at least 5 minutes before we were greeted by anyone. When we did finally get to our table, we had to ask for a drink menu and waited another 5 minutes for a server to come over. The rest of the experience went the exact same way. The first round of drinks took 15-20 minutes to arrive! The food (fish and a medium rare steak) also took over 45 minutes and came out room temp. We had ordered a second round of drinks that never even came out. I heard several other guests disclose similar issues. I did finally ask to speak with a manager and she was respectful (and discounted our bill), but was not necessarily apologetic. It was an overall disappointing experience for the caliber of restaurant and price of the menu. On top of the poor service, the food was just okay. I wouldn’t recommend it.
