About King Estate Restaurant
King Estate is dedicated to pairing Northwest wines with regional food products, using seasonal, organic ingredients whenever possible. Many of these seasonal ingredients come from the Estate’s 30-acres of organic gardens and orchards. At King Estate, the winery came before the restaurant, but we have always sought to enhance the experience of our wines with good, wholesome food. The King Estate Restaurant opened in May of 2006 and has since become known for its exceptional gourmet menu, founded on a dedication to enhancing the wine experience. The restaurant's elegantly rustic décor welcomes guests for an immediate sense of relaxation. With warmth, wine and good food, we hope you'll feel right at home.

King Estate Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Valentine's dinner with prix fixe menu. My wife and I both have a shellfish allergy, and in place of the crab appetizer, the chef prepared specially a duck confit that was wonderful. each of the four courses was very nicely prepared, in particular the beef tenderloin. Each course was paired with one of King Estate's wines, all of which were excellent, and the pairings were very well considered. Our waitress was very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the source vineyards. Everything about this dinner was first class, and the only minor critique would be piped in music that was a little cheesy - a little live music would have made this a five star meal across the board. Still, a very satisfying meal.
Phenomenal location and superb food. I would definitely go back! I especially would like to return in beautiful weather when the outdoor seating is open and you can see the sweeping vineyard vistas. (Our table inside unfortunately didn't have a view because we were in the center area facing the hallway and the tasting bar.)
Second visit here and can’t wait to come back. Had the Roasted Chicken and it was the best chicken I’ve ever tried. Paired it with a 2015 King Estate Domaine Pinot Gris and enjoyed the last glass in the patio mesmerized by the incredible view. Highly recommend this place
First let's talk about parking. During busy times there won't be enough. So you might wanna carpool. I went Sunday 1/7/18 at 10am and the place was all mine. I have heard of this place and have been anxious to try it. It's a very nice restaurant on a gorgeous vineyard. Wear nice clothes (business casual or better.) They were expecting me. I had the idea that reservations are the way to go. So I was something of a fluke for them. There were no other customers for a Sunday brunch at 10am? I was promptly seated to a wonderful table. Since I was the only customer there, the service was 5 stars. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of Sage Sausage links. The eggs came perfectly cooked. They don't use ham on their Eggs Benedict. Instead they use roast beef. It was so tender I didn't need a knife. But the English muffins needed a knife for sure. The hollandaise sauce was homemade and very good. The salad was fantastic. The dried Apricots really set it off. All in all, this was the very best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Now.. about those sausage links..... These are not the typical sausage links most of us are used to seeing. These things were 7" long and 3/4" thick. Two were served. Oh, they tasted fantastic. Bring your appetite.
I had 2 momosa's too. The meal was billed at $42.00. Which is actually quite good for everything.
The drive is a bit daunting in the rain and dark for a winter dinner (we missed out on seeing the beautiful country!). The restaurant was beautiful and felt warm and quiet, even though there were quite a few large families for Xmas eve dinner. Even the bathrooms were warm, which I love! We sat next to a crackling fireplace and it was lovely. The fixed price 5 course meal was lovely, but the food came a bit too quickly between courses. The portion sizes were fine until the lasagna, which was a bit too rich and heavy to serve right before the fillet minion. The dessert was a composed puff pastry/apple/ice cream tower which was pretty, but difficult to eat without making a flaky mess! The food was delicious, but the same meal in Portland would have cost about 30% less. I'd imagine their food costs are higher being so far out, and you are kinda paying for the view, I'd guess. All in all, it was lovely!
Generally everything was really quite nice. The service was good. The food was excellent. But the sound was way too loud for me. I think it needs to be background music; it should be in the background. Check by having of your staff, have a conversation in normal tones say about five or 6 feet apart and there's no need to raise your voice. That was not the situation that I found. Music was loud, it was turned down at my request to semi-loud. There was music in another room and I could hear it, in addition to the room music that I was in. I am sound sensitive butI really think that many restaurants are blowing it, on the music by putting too loud and yours is among these. I will come back but hopefully the music will be truly, accurately "background".
Great find for our Thanksgiving. We arrived early before 5pm sunset for our 7pm reservation but Tim at Tasting Room was a great host to fill our waittime. Mahalo to the friendly staff - appreciated your being apart from your family so ours could have a place to gather.
We took our friends here for their anniversary and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. A fire in the fireplace, candles and a quiet room. Our waiter was very friendly and the food and wine were amazing. Great options for food and wine, nothing "run of the mill."
My husband and I were on our yearly anniversary trip that was taking us through Eugene, OR. We decided to go to King Estate for wine tasting, tour and dinner. The wine was wonderful and we were not expecting a fabulous dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant can stand on its own. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the desserts were unique and mouth watering tasty! We are now looking forward to a return trip sometime in the next year.
Two things: Wine Club members no longer received a discount in the restaurant. This is a disappointing take-away. Also, there was a table of 10 that was acting and sounding like they were in their own dining room. They should have been placed in an area away from others. They were very rude, loud and inconsiderate. Other than that, we always LOVE King Estates.
King Estate is absolutely lovely. We went for a wine tasting & lunch & everything was so good. We really like our Oregon wines & King Estates are some of the best. I had a cheeseburger & my husband had pastrami sandwich. Which sounds kind of funny for a really nice restaurant—but they were both yummy. Way too much food & we took home to enjoy with more wine later. Highly recommend.
When we visit Eugene we always eat here. Food is amazing, service is always good. The surroundings are breathtaking. We usually dine outdoors in the early evening. This time we arrived when it was dark the drive up with the lights on the Estate was very romantic we dinned in a small room with a fireplace it was very cozy. We had a very attentive waiter and delicious food as always. Can’t wait to come back
Service was slow. Too slow for even a relaxed pace dinner. Other tables seems to be getting more attention than my table (of two). After ordering a second glass of wine, I nearly finished the reaminder of my entree before it was served. Rather ridiculous for a restaurant at a winery in my opinion. Other than speed, the service was good, as was the food.
The wine tasting before we were seated was rather awful, not for the quality of the wine, but for other reasons, but this review reflects the dining experience, not the wine tasting.
I am writing this because of the unflattering things I read on line. Our experience was wonderful. Our waiter and waitress, they were great, the food was excellent and the price we feel is no more than what you would pay at any high end restaurant. Sitting out side the view, the weather it all was perfect we could not of asked for better. We celebrated our anniversary a month early so we could have it here in good weather. We will be back.
The property is spectacular and the building very authentic. The wine tasting was nice and our server very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact all staff were friendly and professional. The food, however, was a letdown. Very limited menu and not well prepared. We ended up taking most of it home, but it didn’t taste any better after we were home. I would not be likely to return for this reason. Not many choices for vegetarian, with the exception of side vegetables.
We are wine club members, have been there many times over the years, but the service was the worst I have ever seen it. There was a lot of staff, walking around, but took forever to get a glass of wine & order food, then food wait was long too. The food & wine was good as usual, though.
The food and wine were good but way overpriced. Our waiter seemed preoccupied about something and forgot our bread (blamed it on someone else) plus gave us the wrong information about the salmon we were served. King Estate Restaurant has a beautiful setting but we won't be back for a long time.
We really enjoyed how beautiful the venue was And our waitress was lovely. Unfortunately we were quite upset with the bartenders go oversee our tasting. We found that they were not engaging and did not give us the the tome of day. We were really disappointed in their service especially given their wine prices. We spent serveral hundred dollars for wine plus the serveral hundred dollars for dinner and we felt very neglected.
