We’ve been looking for a Sunday roast in Atlanta for 6 years and finally found it! Delicious roast meat and trimmings, wonderful apps and excellent service. We will be back.
When traveling to Atlanta you must try King + Duke. Food, Atmosphere, and Service are second to none.
Excellent service. Very attentive. Didn't have to wait long for anything. Outstanding cocktails and the food was divine.
First time dining at this restaurant staff was very accommodating pushing back my reservation as my party arrived late. The duck is by far the best dish is had that evening I will certainly be back. Our server Dwayne was excellent
If you go to king + duke, make sure you get their spanish octo and salt and pepper mushrooms as your appetizers. They are just an explosion of flavors in your palate. If you can come by on a Sunday and enjoy their Sunday roast, only make sure you leave enough space after your appetizers or share it because its a big boy serving we are talking about here. I wish i could remember the name of our server but from the moment we sat he took care of us with attentive and intuitive service without being stuffy, overall amazing service on his part. Thank you to the King + Duke team for a memorable belated NYE date night with my girlfriend.
The food was AMAZING!!! Our waiter, Brandon, was very professional and his customer service was impeccable!!! We had such a wonderful experience.
Great service and the food is unique - try the shrimp!
Great meal with great service. Jilian was attentive, friendly and professional. Definitely on our list of regular stops for a good meal.
Great meal, drinks and service, as always!
The prefix NYE menu was AWFUL! It did not reflect the quality of their daily menu by any stretch of the imagination. And our server was rude and snippy. She left our table in such a hurry every time that she kept forgetting to take our drink order. And she never came back to offer us a second round of drinks.
This was our first New Year’s Eve celebration. We really enjoyed the food, seating and service.
Birthday/NYE
Very pleasant dining experience for New Years Eve. Fixed price menu was a bit expensive but given the holiday and COVID reduced seating we felt it was reasonable. Wine pairings, which were an option, were also nicely done.
This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Buckhead.
Our server Gerard was incredible! We wanted to only eat outside during Covid and he did all he could to make sure we were warm (moved the heater to a better spot), delivered our meal hot and promptly. He made fantastic suggestions and felt like he really enjoyed taking care of us. Loved the meal he suggested and especially his service.
The quality of the food was just average and not reflective of the price or ambiance. The service was excellent.
Holiday Celebration
Birthday dinner was very special. Ashley was our server and she was excellent. Look forward to going back!
The ambience and service were very good. The food was mediocre. We had to send 2 dishes back because they were not hot. The prices are extremely high and the food quality is not.
Those fried mushrooms were outstanding!! Service was great and I just love the location and ambiance. Great spot for groups. And I absolutely love that popovers were served as opposed to the usual bread or rolls
We had a party of 10. The valet was tricky, the reception was rude. Our waiter Ashley was AWESOME!! i had the lobster at $44 and it was TINY! Probably 3bites per side. We spent well over $1000 for a birthday dinner . To celebrate our friends birthday, the restaurant gave her 2scoops of sorbet. Really??!!! I would have been embarrassed to have served that... we ended up ordering 6 desserts at about $8- $15 each. Everyone except my hisbands (steak)meals were subpar for the price. Not sure i would go back.... too many other restaurants that would LoVE to have our business!
King and Duke carries a great ambiance and had a great location. Especially in the spring and summer with use of the patio. Their staff are professional and courteous. It is a great spot to have a drink or date night. As far as the food, I was not impressed at all. Also some of the menu descriptions needs additional explanation like the Duke. Who knew is was a hamburger with 3 types of meat. If I were to go back it would be for drinks at the bar.
Top notch. Highly recommend.
Food quality just went bad so much from before.
Phenomenal food, service and experience!
K and D is always very good! You can't go wrong here. Starting with the warm popovers, the food is fantastic. I tried the coppa this time and it was a special dish. Very flavorful and the meat was so tender. I would order it again!
My friends and I had an interesting experience at King + Duke. I’ll start with the good - we enjoyed the ambiance. The drinks were good. The beef dripping fries and toffee pudding were great as well. My friends also raved about the onion soup. We ordered the scallops and chicken for dinner. The scallops were great, but the chicken...first, the manager came out and said the chef didn’t like how one of the chickens turned out so they were re-cooking it. Shortly thereafter, they brought the food to the table, and all was well until we cut into the chicken. It was practically raw in the middle. The last time I received half cooked chicken, I was at Chilis. We were pretty disappointed but just called the waiter back to the table and told him the chicken wasn’t done. He apologized and took the chicken back to the kitchen. The manager brought the chicken back to the table, apologized, and said “please let me know if this chicken is cooked to your liking”. To my knowledge, chicken is either done or it’s not. We didn’t order a steak. I was kind of at a lost for words in that moment. When the waiter came back, I asked if there was another manager available. There was not. I explained the issue to him around why the manager’s comment was a bit offensive, and he admitted that they did not even look at the chicken - they had assumed that the chicken was just not cooked “well enough”. Although they removed the chicken from the bill, I was very disappointed in how they handled the situation. Even though we were the table that was served raw chicken, the manager was making her way to other tables making small talk with other guests. I will not be returning.
There was no one sitting outside- WE asked to sit outside- it was like they were thrown. then 20 mins later we sat. Service was AWFUL!
Will be coming back soon! Our server was excellent!!
Without a doubt best dining experience since we arrive in Atlanta 11/9/20! Ashley was THE BEST server! Highly recommend the octopus, lamb belly, halibut, lobster..... and the fancy White Russian for dessert was phenomenal. If you haven’t been...... GO❤️
Totally worth the money. We went for date night and kept thinking it might be another overpriced trendy spot. We were wrong! Food was terrific, service was great and the atmosphere was terrific. A really good spot. French onion soup & popovers are not to be missed!
Thoroughly enjoyed a night with King & Duke! Staff is very friendly and our server was so knowledgeable and provided great recommendations to us. The food was so full of flavor and did not disappoint! Highly recommend the lamb belly bites and the scallop dish. Will definitely be going back!!
I didn’t like what I ordered at all and it was really expensive! So disappointed! My husband got the burger and it was really good.
Family night at the King & Duke what way to end Black Friday with fantastic drinks, amazing food and some of the best staff, chefs and servers ever. Started with Drinks like the El Diablo or the new drink from bartender “ Drink with No Name “ can’t wait to see what they name it of course I had several I say. On to the gulf shrimp starter and the Octopus. Oh I almost forgot the cheese popovers hot damn they are perfect to sopping up the sauce from the gulf shrimp. Next was the “The Duke “, the bar steak & “the lazy man lobster “ was slapping GOOD! On to the desserts the ice cream sundae and apple pear pie with Ice cream was just perfect to cap off dinner. Dwayne was our server and he was awesome of course the rest of the staff were awesome even down to the point of bringing my wife a congratulations card for completing her chemo treatments and battling breast cancer. What a way to celebrate. King & Duke Ford Fry is at the top of my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.
King + Duke never fails. You can always count on a great meal and outstanding service.
Great food, service and drinks.
Will be one of my favorites
The food was outstanding, restaurant was beautiful would be such a great date night vibe. Staff from hostess to waiter were all insanely professional & helpful! 10/10!
lovely venue, good vibe, beautiful decor, very quiet and safe. Octopus, pear & persimmon were excellent. The halibut was undercooked (raw in the middle), was not filet (boney), and my partner did not want to speak up about it bc the service was so slow, we didn't want to wait any longer to eat. The 4 scallops for $56 was outrageous, but the were delicious. We declined dessert because the service was so slow. It took 2 hours to dine, without cocktails, or dessert. Not sure if we'll be back.
Love the outdoor dining area. The lamb with labne was amazing. The burger is also a must!
Always a great time at King + Duke!! The wait staff is excellent and the food is wonderful!
