For this price point, restaurant was fairly disappointing. Food adequate, not stellar, had issues with pork chop coming out adequately warmed. Wine selection over all very weak, multiple servers not very confident about their wine list. Dessert solid cocktails B+.Overall, overpricees , price point and desirability likely stemming from superfluous Buckhead location. Pass on this in the future, there are many other places that are better for this price point.
Our server Christopher was attentive and helpful and accommodating, ambiance pleasant.
Pass on this place, hit up atlas or aria instead
A fun spot for a date. Employees added to the experience
We were seated right on time and really enjoyed the ambiance and amazing food and service!!
We were finally seated 25 minutes after our reservation. Portions are very small based on the prices.
I've been to the King + Duke for lunch several times and always had a good experience regarding the menu, food quality and service. I was disappointed in this dinner experience. I thought the menu was uninspired. My wife split a Wedge salad and the dressing tasted like out of the bottle Ranch, instead of a chef prepared Blue Cheese dressing. The presentation on my Caesar salad looked like they pulled Romaine clusters from a bag and poured dressing over it. My wife's Scallops were small and cool. My L bone stead was suppose to be Medium rare, but was rare. The side dishes were an afterthought to the chef, nothing special or enticing.
King + Duke is my absolute favorite restaurant in Atlanta!
Amazing experience, went to dinner here for my birthday. Server gave our table glasses of champagne to celebrate my birthday. Next, warm popovers with butter. Appetizers and meals were amazing, and our service from Dwayne was great, very warm and accommodating. Finished with baked alaska for dessert, which was big enough for 4 people to share. Really great food, atmosphere, and service.
The food was not the best. I had the Duke burger and it had a funny taste to it. I was only able to have two bites of it and left the rest. My friend ordered a Pork chop and it was a too salty. We also had a Cesar salad, which was very bland. Our appetizers were mediocre at best. This is the second time we’ve been here and had not been pleased with the food. I would not recommend this place for dinner food not the best and overpriced.
My wife and I always do date night on Friday. King & Duke is now on rotation!
Delicious food, amazing service.
As usual service was amazing. Food spectacular
Our server Jameson was an absolute gem. He took amazing care of us. Thoughtfully curated wine list and the food was better than ever. The manager on duty, Annie, made sure our experience was rememberable and enjoyable. Thanks y’all!
Sara made the night because her service was excellent. I’d come back to sit in the parlor and would hope Sara could wait on us. Great food and service!
Our server Lauren was great. We usually sit at the bar but decided to sit at a table and relax after a long week. Our appetizers weren't flavorful, but our entrees tasted better.
The waitstaff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were terrific.
Steak was very salty and couldn’t finish. Let server know, she offered another dish but we declined expecting it to be taken off bill. When bill comes does not even include itemized portion to verify. Seemed intentional. Won’t be back
They were so sweet. It was my friends first time out of the house since they had a baby, and they gave us all champagne to cheers with. Love this place always!!!
INCREDIBLE service, great ambiance and excellent food - as always! They even completed my special request to have a cute note for my friend visiting from out of town!
Dropped in for our 40th Anniversary! What an experience. Toki was our server and she was great! From beginning to end I won’t change anything
Thank you so much for spending such an important evening with us! Happy 40th Anniversary!! Please let us know if we can help with any other special occasion or just some good food for lunch, brunch or dinner! Hope to see you soon! Ryan
Everything we ordered came out perfect! Great service and staff.
I must say in addition to food best describes as beautiful the level of service was outstanding, we had two in our group with food allergies and without much advanced notice the chef created delicious meals for them. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and accommodating.
Service in General was good. The food (eggs Benedict ) came out cold. We opted to not send both plates back son as not to disrupt the meal flow for the rest of the table
Service was terrible! Food was mediocre at best. Beverages were good.
Very slow service with very mediocre, overpriced food.
This was not a normal experience at king and duke, which I normally regard as one of my favorite restaurants in the areas. This was New Year’s Eve and featured a 4 course price fixed menu. I have to say though, they were really off their game due to the crowd
They seated us 1 hour late for our reservation which is a huge problem for anyone with plans for the evening after telling us and multiple others we would have a 15 minute wait. The waiter clearly didn’t know the menu or the wine pairings and routinely brought things out of order or two glasses of wine for two different courses at the same time.
The food was also just ok, which is a bummer since I really love their normal menu. A few things were awesome such as dessert and the Parisian gnocchi, but the swordfish was not very good and the duck was very tough.
Overall I wouldn’t go to king and duke on a big holiday night, I’d save it for when you can appreciate the a la carte menu and service that isn’t so stressed out.
We went for NYE. The pre-fix menu had potential and was available online so we knew what to expect. The waiter “couldn’t describe the flavor” of the spices used on the first course except “sushi-like.” He didn’t bother to pitch the other dishes, just wanted us to make our selections and keep it moving. The restaurant packed people in like sardines and if an overweight person had tried to eat there, I am not sure where they would have fit. We heard the entire dinner conversation next to us and the couple wasn’t loud, just VERY close. The toast had so much balsamic vinegar it overwhelmed everything else on it (figs and goat cheese). The lobster was the tiniest of lobster I have ever seen! It was good but seriously only four bites. Hubby’s steak was 33% fat and gristle. The banana and marscapone dessert was good and okay to mass produce. The pace and poor service were major turnoffs so we won’t be back.
great meal for new years eve. a couple of the items prepared too far in advance - ie the lobster/crab
Excellent New Year’s Eve dinner! First time at this restaurant, would love to come back.
I went with two friends for lunch on New Year’s Eve. Everything was wonderful. Our waitress was great. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, including food and drinks. The ambiance was superior - classy and quiet. A perfect experience .
Outstanding. Great attention to detail.
Very nice service. Great, hip place to meet and have a terrific meal.
I had the mahi mahi. Surprisingly It was very salty.
Sarah was our waitress and she was amazing
Service was slow and clumsy. Waitresses bumped into each other and spilled water over my guest. It took 40 minutes to get our steaks. The food was good but we were tired by the time we got it. Maybe a better place for cocktails than for dinner.
The experience was fantastic. The bartender Troy made us fantastic drinks. The food was delicious. You must try the cinnamon rolls.
Amazing food and ambiance. My date and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and may return around New Year’s Eve.
Food was very disappointing. Service was excellent.
The experience started off very poorly. We waited 30 minutes after our reservation time to finally get seated. Four other tables were sat right when we are back to back. The initial service was somewhat slow. And our in and we had just only received an appetizer and a drink. The one drink I did order came out very sour and I had to return it and exchange for a wine. We ordered finally when we could locate the waiter, I ordered a burger which took around :45 minutes. It took TWO HOURS start to finish. Worse — The food came out over cooked and in a to go bag. Very bad experience. I expected much better from K&D.
I took my mom here for her annual Christmas dinner. The food was great and atmosphere was perfect. King & Duke delivers great service on a consistent basis.
Food was salty and overpriced for the amount given.
Love this restaurant. We come every time we are in town and the menu changes every 6 weeks. 👍🏻👍🏻
