First review to ever write on anything or any product. Was excited to drive from Charlotte to dine here but highly disappointed. IPA beer to start was fruity, not good. Cocktail from bar not tasty. Bread and butter was actually very tasty. The plates with scallops, ravioli, and brussel sprouts were not good at all. The tartar was actually fairly good. So for the price $$$$$, I would not recommend. Will not be back.

Food was great! Our waitress was awesome and very knowledgeable about the menu, she also read up well as far as giving us time to eat and enjoy! We did not feel rushed :)

The food was tasty. The wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful. 2 in our party had allergies and the staff were quick to offer suggestions to accommodate them.

Some of the food items were misses, but most of the food was absolutely delicious! The only thing I really did not like was the charcoal broccolini, but the server replaced it with another small plate with no hassle. The milkbread was really good and the milkbread cinnamon roll is a must! The best part of the experience was the vibe and decor and the handcrafted cocktails.

Our double-date night at Kindred satisfied on all levels. We ate on the side patio, which is lovely. Our knowledgeable and friendly server offered helpful suggestions about timing and combining certain dishes. We're repeat customers and plan to continue returning.

The new menu is heavy on unusual exotics For two of us that was fine but one person couldn't find anything conventional. Not everyone enjoys a nouvelle cuisine exclusively . Most importantly all of the dishes we had( eight in total) were oversalted - a popular trend but really one that over powers versus enhances the flavors.

The food was different than most restaurants, but not necessarily better. We had fresh homemade pickles as an appetizer and they were drenched in strong vinegar and beef tartare which was delicious. Milk bread was served in the form of a giant yeast roll. The other dishes were served tapas style and included, rigatoni, triggerfish and scallop pasta dish. None of the tapas entrees were were excellent, just different. The noise level was incredibly loud as the result of packing too many people in a tight space. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. It was an experience, but not one that will be repeated.
