Always great food and fast service before Guthrie shows across the street.
Server was very slow and not very friendly. Food was bland.
Great location kitty-corner from The Guthrie. Service isn't very attentive. Had reservations for 5:45 and nobody was at the host stand and waited for someone to pay attention to us. Then after being seated, took quite some time for a wait staff to acknowledge us. However, the food arrived very quickly and was yummy. We had edamame and spring rolls to share which were tasty and I had the basil their stir fry with shrimp which was also great.
This was our first visit to Kindee and it did not start off well, but as savvy business owners , they corrected the wrong and took steps to make sure that we were well taken care of.
I had a reservation and called because the traffic from out west was bad and I indicated that we would be late. The gentleman taking the call, said "no problem". When we arrived, we were told we do not have a table for you and the hostesses was smiling and gave the impression that she did not care. We were having dinner pre theater and needed to be done in a respectable time line. She said 10-15 minute wait but hardly anyone had food at their table. We were upset and said that were going to leave but that we would write a very bad review for how this was handled. We walked across the street and were about to enter the other restaurant when the host/owner? came running after us and told us that he had a table for us. We agreed to come back.
We ordered, the service was great and the food was hot and tasty. When we asked for the bill, the server indicated that the host comped our tab. What a lovely gesture to make good on a bad situation.
We left a very generous tip and went to the play.
I say thank you to the management at Kindee for doing the right thing. The no charge was not necessary but much appreciated. We had never been there before but will certainly revisit since the food was very good.
Thanks for the opportunity to share this experience
Food was good, service was fine. It was busy with patrons eating before attending the theatre.
The food was delicious, but I got sick pretty quick afterwards. I’m not sure if that was due to my own stomach sensitivity or the food.
It was a great experience. I brought family from out of town here before attending the Guthrie. The food was great, with something for everyone. The staff was attentive and friendly. They took a picture of the table with a smile. Overall a great night out for everyone.
They ignored us for 10 minutes when we arrived. They stopped to ask if we had a reservation and when we said yes they walked away. Clearly they don’t want business. Horrible and unacceptable.
We would definitely recommend Kindee Thai to friends.
It was the perfect place to eat before heading to the Guthrie for a play.
Delicious....and extremely fast service!
Wonderful food and good value before Guthrie events.
Definitely make a reservation. The place was full the entire time we were there. It’s conveniently located near the Guthrie & is also attached to a parking ramp...perfect for parking & dining before going to Guthrie. Absolutely an affordable, enjoyable date night.
While the location was great for a pre-Guthrie meal, it wasn't a great experience for our evening.
I found the entree portions to be quite small and particularly the amount of the chosen protein added to the stir fry dishes to be sparse.
While the service was quite fast, it didn't seem particularly friendly. I don't think I saw a smile from any staff member the entire time other than the woman that greeted us when we arrived.
The food was "good" but I thought lacked the depth & boldness of flavor of most Thai food I'm accustomed to.
I always eat here if I am headed to the theater. I love their food and prices are good
We always go to Kindee before the Guthrie, and we always have the squash (or pumpkin?) curry with chicken. It has just the right amount of heat and is delicious! We try different appetizers. We love the ribs especially. They were a little tough last time, but still delicious and we will have them again!
Had dinner before a show at the Guthrie. The service was quick and friendly. The food was very good and filling.
Consistently good curries in a somewhat noisy and tight environment. We find it easy to eat there before an evening at the Guthrie.
Waiter was very much on top of the fact that we had a show in an hour. Appreciate that. I'm sure they're used to that being across the street from the guthrie. The $3 (!) upcharge for the fried rice was a waste of money. The basil chicken dish was the smallest AND most bland I've ever had at a thai restaurant. My wife enjoyed her sweet and sour dish though. Still overpriced-- spent over $50, no alcohol, pre tip. 3 stars might be generous. We won't be back.
Server forgot one person's order. One of the main dishes (the curry soup) we ordered was supposed to be medium spice but it was extremely spicy. Salmon and Basil fried rice was delicious.
Great place to dine before attending an event at the Guthrie Theater. Good thai food, fresh, they supply 4-item rack of spice jars should you need your meal to be spicier. I eat at Kindee Thai on a regular basis, everyone I bring with me enjoys the food too.
Food is excellent - though could have been warmer the appetizers
Indifferent wait staff. Smallish portions. Frankly, both our meals were bland and boring.
Bistro atmosphere with small tables. Wait staff knew the menu and have great recommendations! Every menu item had rich, delicious flavor!
Great. Good fab
Great food. They were very attentive to have us served and on our way before the show.
My experience at Kindee was awesome!!!!
Everything was great except for noise level
Consistently good food
We were in a bit of a rush to get to the orchestra, and were a few minutes late for our reservation due to weather/traffic. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated immediately and our food arrived quickly enough that we still made the performance on time. Food was delicious, especially the asparagus/shrimp/tomato dish that I had and the fried egg rolls. My wife had the red curry, which she also would recommend.
It’s bright, clean, and well maintained, but this is a very busy place. To accommodate the crowds, the tables are on the small side and quite close together, and the kitchen is open to the dining floor, so it can get a bit loud when it’s bustling. Imagine a high-end diner that serves really good Thai food, and you’ll get the picture. Great location, though, with plenty of parking nearby. Give them a try.
I accidentally clicked on the poor button. I really rate Kindee's as outstanding. I have been there several times and have always enjoyed it.
Loved the food! This was my first time having Thai, and I absolutely loved my experience—I would definitely recommend this place!
It’s ok if you need a restaurant close to the Guthrie but the food is average and the service slow. They should be prepared for Wednesday matinee lunch diners and yet we had to chase the server to get her to get the check and then ring the check. Not fun if poor service makes you tense.
Always enjoy their food.
Everything was great. The server was very attentive and all of the food was great. An excellent experience.
A fine place for those who like the spice of Thai cuisine! Handy for Guthrie-goers, and at a good price point.
Our 1st experience at Kin Dee and we were favorably impressed. Very pleasant environment and comfortable place. Met friends and all liked their food and service was excellent. The only negative was that it was noisy.
Good spot with tasty well-priced food for Pre-Guthrie dinner.
Great before theater place for dinner and drinks. Convenient, fast service and good food.
Good food and pleasant service.
The hostess was less than friendly. And the menu she gave us was sticky with some dipping sauce. A bit off putting but the food was very good.
Always excellent food and friendly service. We always make a reservation before our visits to the Guthrie
