Wonderful Birthday celebration
I had a totally average and overpriced date dinner. Steak that was medium rare but was really rare and way too salty in my opinion. Salmon that was fine, nothing exciting about it. The tenderloin appetizer was the star of the night and set the bar high. The entrees felt flat. Felt that I overspent for decent food. Not the best feeling after dropping nearly $100 for 2. I worked my tail off to be able to afford a nice meal, should've gone with W.A Frost. Also would recommend this restaurant work on it's presentation... Sheeesh!
Seeing a long time friend
Brian our server was excellent and so was Will the bartender.
Kincaid's is classic fine dining, which becomes more rare as the years go by. While foodies may encourage you to head for newer, trendier restaurants, Kincaid's has succeeded where many of those restaurants have failed: consistently good food.
Food was amazing and the service was awesome! We will be going back for sure!
Our experience was marred a bit by the slow service. The food was really good and not the usual run of the mill menu. We had shrimp and grits as an app and a perfectly balanced pea salad that we split. Our entrees were also tasty.
However, it was disappointing to have to rush to finish our meal. We sat down just past 6pm and told the server we had tickets to a 7:30 show and wanted to leave by 7:15. We quickly put our entire order in so we could make the show. At 6:55, she told us she would now be putting in our entree order, which we then received at nearly 7:10. We had to eat so quickly we didn't enjoy the fabulous meals.
Reservation was perfect. The restaurant filled instantly and we were seated while many others waited for tables to open. Convenient to Ordway.
Great food. Crowded at 6:30 when we got there. But service was good. Wine list is okay; there should be more choices. Prices are moderate. Overall a good place and experience.
Always a special treat. I love the pea salad! Service is great. Drinks are good value. Food always has unique add-ons.
Went prior to the theatre. Waiter brought wrong meal (husband had debated between 2 options.) They comp’d the meal and made it right.
Outstanding service from a low-keyed but competent staff. The halibut is not to be missed.
We had good service, but getting our meal was a little slow. We were going to the Ordway and cut it close. Food was very tasty. A little pndy, but good.
Experience was good. Wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. Only disappointment was that the pasta dishes have been removed from the menu.
Outstanding service and tremendous service. Made a late afternoon reservation on Easter Sunday and enjoyed quiet dining at a bar table. Perfect. Parking was validated also.
Going to move back to St. Paul in two months. Always drive over to dine a Kincades presently. Appreciated the "Education Appreciation Day" dinner some weeks back. Hopefullly that will happen again. Our waiter was fabulous Sunday last. Thanks...
We went for Easter, the food was wonderful, our waiter was attentive and made great recommendations. It was a great way to wind down after a morning of church.
Great food. For some reason we had to wait a long time for our food because of this we were not able to enjoy our food we had only allowed 1 1/2 hr for dinner. We ordered as soon as we could and advise the waitress we were going to the opera. All the tables around us where finished eating before our food was served and they were seated after us.
I was met with a smile from the people at the front of the house and it was good. Almost everyone in the front had smiles. Got seated and waited for my date. My waitress, Sharone, was really quite observant about me being alone after my date had to cancel. Sharone was amazing. Personal...professional and everything inbetween. The prime rib was fantastic. Salad was crisp and fresh. The crab appatizer was excellent. Sharone was excellent. Always a smile and she knew the answers to all the questions. It was quite nice and a really nice change of pace.
I've been to Kincaid's in Bloomington many times, but never in St. Paul. My son and I made a break for some guy time with a stop at Heime's Haberdashery across the street for new sport coat for him and a shave for me... and a nice meal planned afterward at Kincaid's. Kincaid's did not disappoint. The location is convenient and beautiful. Menu selections were familiar from my time at the other Kincaid's. Wine pairings were nice. Wedge salad and french onion soup were tasty and well-presented. They even accommodated my odd request for french onion soup without the bread for dietary restriction. Suprisingling, my NY strip did not come out perfectly the first time around. I've never had a meal at Kincaid's that was anything other than top notch. I felt that Minnesota guilt in even mentioning that the steak seemed tough. Anywhere else, I would have toughed it out. But I did mention it. Without question or hesitation, it was whisked away without complaint. With very little delay, the second one was perfect. Ambience was relaxed and quiet (even on a Friday night) and perfect for some much needed Dad/Son time.
The food is always good. We had a good time and then went to the opera.
Service was very good, we were never waiting for anything. I don't like hoverers or being asked how my meal is, and our servers had just the correct amount of attentiveness, while giving us plenty of privacy. Server had a good suggestion on a wine pairing.
Great service and food was very delicious
The food was amazing our waiter was so helpful with suggestions. It was a wonderful experience.
The food was delicious and service was outstanding. Definitely, will be back
Most visits to Kincaid's have ranked much higher. Maybe it was an off night, there was an Opera and Wild hockey game so maybe the staff was over worked. Certainly wasn't the service I become accustomed to. Seemed a little snobby, I was wearing flannel and Jeans but I don't recall a dress code and the $350 I dropped should spend as well as the guy's that was wearing a suit........just saying.
We love Kincaids but tonight service was kind of slow and my husband's pork chop was a bit dry and bland.
We love Kincaid’s for the excellent service and ever-changing menu of delicious food.
Sat at our favorite table. Loved the menu options. Our food was so tastey and what a wonderful demi-glace. Our server, Josh, was very on top of everything, great suggestions and timely check-ins with us (and the other tables he was serving as well, we noticed). All staff were so friendly from the check-in area to the people serving food or clearing tables. We love our visits to Kincaid's in St. Paul.
Came at dinner time on a Sunday and the place wasn't particularly busy - I have lunch here during the work week a few times a year and it's the same level of activity. I got the "daily menu" citrus salmon and it was great - loved the seasonings. My boyfriend got the Waygu sirloin and loved the entire dish. Service was fantastic, and the waiter really knew what was good. It's a nice view out the window, making the place feel open, but how the tables are laid out really make it feel cozy (in a good way).
Birthday meal was superb
We had a marvelous time - thank you for the great food and service.
Kincaids is a treat. The food and service is exceptional.
Food was great - delicious and well presented.
Service was attentive.
Overall positive experience.
Great service. Always great food.
I came out for dinner before a concert with my friends and the service was top notch and the food was OUTSTANDING !
love the Lavender martini, makes a great vodka tonic, all the food was scrumptious and the decor is pleasant too- we had the BEST waitress!!!
The staff were appropriate and friendly. The calamari was cooked beautifully as well as was the N.Y. Steak done just the way I asked. I/We would go again.
