Kincaid's - St. Paul Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed a wonderful flavorful dinner on our first visit to Kincaid’s. Our waiter was knowledgeable and fun and gave us great ideas for a return visit in the winter when all the pretty white lights grace the snow laden trees that overlook the front windows. That is exactly where we will reserve a spot!
The service was attentive and cordial. I ordered a salmon entrée with roasted vegetables, that was cooked properly, but lacked flavor and the vegetables were overcooked, hard, and tasteless. I know I could have advised the waitress, but did not want to wait for a replacement and did not expect any other dish would be better. The menu needs an overhaul and the kitchen needs a more creative and competent chef.
Appetizer and salads were fine. The 2 main course Filet mignons were ordered medium and one came out blood red and the other was overcooked with no pink at all. Not the way they should have been cooked at all. Have been here many times without a problem. Was not a good outing for our relatives. We know the food is top knotch but they didn't see it that way.
I made reservations for dinner before a concert we were attending nearby. The waiter never refilled my water or asked me if I wanted another drink. The food was not great (I ordered the seafood salad and the salmon was brown and slimy on the bottom and the lettuce was not fresh). My boyfriend's steak was just ok, nothing spectacular. We were both thoroughly disappointed in both the service and food. We will not be returning.
Outstanding in every way, beautiful, immaculate, classy. Reception warm, friendly, professional. Waite staff informed, smart, sharp, fun and caring without being annoying, that is a science and you knocked it out of the park. My potential clients were impressed and I think it may have helped us close a deal!!!
Went before the Imagine Dragon's concert. Arrived early (5:45pm reservation). Had the absolutely most wonderful server I have had in a long, long time - happy, friendly, attentive but not overly so. My 21 yo son was with me and the server couldn't have been nicer to him. We both had the Caesar salad which was fine (I appreciated the portion wasn't too large), and the Kincaid's Filet Mignon. The steak was very tender with very good mushrooms (would have liked more of them) and served over mashed potatoes. My son ate all his and I had a 1/2 steak to take home.
We were EXTREMELY disappointed in our short ribs dinners. We've been waiting all summer with our mouths' watering in anticipation of hockey season to have your short ribs. They were dry, chewy and had minimal flavor. This is in direct contrast to our experiences in the past. Very surprising. Actually it was unbelievable. I've bee ln eating at Kincaids since it opened in Bloomington. It was my mother's favorite. My attorney's office is in the same building and we often have lunch there. I have never had a bad meal at either location. Not sure what happened. Thought you should know. Best, Jim C. PS. We will be back.
