We had dinner with family to celebrate our 26th Anniversary. Everything was fantastic!! Big shout out to Rick for being so good with Arthur!! Thank you thank you!!! Our company was impressed with the hospitality!!
Food is always good at Kincaid’s. We weren’t disappointed. Server was very good as well but we were disappointed in timeliness from Kitchen. We told the server we had a 7:30 show. We had a 5:30 reservation. Ordered at 6 but the entre didn’t arrive until 7 or shortly after. As a result we were rushed to complete our meal. That part was disappointing.
We enjoyed an evening out with halibut, copper river salmon and a shared salad. The food was excellent - both taste and presentation. The service was excellent - attentive without rushing us. We will be back.
As always, a fantastic meal with fantastic service - the BOGO entree didn't hurt either!
It's been a couple of years since I've dined at Kincaid's. We had 9 people in our group. Speaking with most in our group the next day, I asked what they thought about the food and all said the were disappointed.
I ordered the 10 oz. filet mignon medium and the outside was badly burned and that ruined the steak flavor. Others who ordered different steaks said the same. The fish selections were mediocre at best according to others in our group. The potato fingers were rock hard and other veggies were over cooked.
The place was not busy at all and maybe other potential patrons already knew that the food quality has declined from what it was before.
The service was outstanding however but the food was poor, so I would not recommend Kincaid's. If you want equally great service but like your food to be as expected from a higher end establishment, dine across the street.
We went here for our wedding anniversary, we have never been here before and it was a wonderful time. Our server Kayleigh was outstanding very attentive and very personable.
We even were given a card and a free desert for our occasion what a wonderful act of service and kindness. We will surly be back thank you for a outstanding time
Nice dinner. Seafood dishes were good. Kitchen got one of the dishes wrong so messed the dining timing up a bit, but no big deal.
Everything was as good as usual- exceptional!! The service and food was outstanding!!
Another great experience at Kincaid's and with our waiter Rick! Excellent food and service, and an overall wonderful evening.
Really slow service
Food (filet with mushrooms and asperagus) and drinks (raspberry mojito) were amazing. Our server was snobby about his name pronounciation (Bjorn) although my son had the same name our server claim we said it the Americanized way (ok?!). We got two rounds of drinks and the second round took 20 minutes to get to us. Our salads never came, so when the manager asked how are things, we told him we had our main course but not our salads or drinks. That's when our server came with drinks but also remembered he forgot our salad. Bjorn leaned on the wall next to our table and nonchalantly apologized. We said it was ok. The manager came over and comped our drinks since Bjorn was too busy to get our drinks and salads, and we didn't want the salads now that our meals arrived. Plus we were going to JLo, so we were on a time crunch. Needless to say, the service was under par, but the food and ambiance was amazing. I will try it again and hope for a different server.
The food was outstanding and the cocktails were different and sublime
My daughter and I went to Kincaids before the JLo concert. The food was delicious and they even had a special JLo drink that evening. Our server was great; very personable and made some great suggestions! The only thing I was surprised by was the seating area; the table was chipped and scratched. Just not what I would have expected at Kincaids.
Out server was excellent. Give him a raise! Food, as always, was very good.
Great dinner! The service was outstanding and the "date night" special is such a GREAT deal!
It took 20 minutes to be greeted. Food was good-not great, but good. Sat with empty drink glasses for a long time.
The food was excellent and the service was great!!
It was a really unfortunately experience. From the moment we were seated until we left. The service was probably the most lacking we have experienced in a very long time. We were seated and waited quite some time for our waters to be filled and our beverage orders to be taken. Then, once our beverage orders were taken, we placed our soup/salad orders. When our salad and soup came, we had to ask for the bread to be brought and for more water. Our menus sat on the table which just made it cramped. My wedge salad was brown from the knife marks and then when our entrees were brought, we were asked if we needed anything else. We asked them if they could please clear our empty salad and soup plates because we had moved them to the side and they had not yet cleared them or the menus. My salmon was well done (which was supposed to be medium/rare). I ordered another glass of wine but that did not come until after we had finished dinner.
I hate making this assumption, but I find that I get poor service when I go to nicer dinners when it is my daughter and me. It appears that because the waiter assumes our ticket is going to be less in revenue that their tip is going to be less, and then not worth the effort they would put in with a higher revenue table. It is frustrating because I understand that and I always tip at a higher amount to offset that assumption and want to pay for the higher level of service.
It was an unfortunate experience and we will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Had a really nice dinner prior to attending Hugh Jackman Show at Xcel Energy Center this past Saturday. The Parmesan crusted Scallops were Awesome and meatloaf Wellington was stuffed inside the potatoes. Had a nice server named Bjorn.
I’ve eaten here several times as I work in DT St. Paul. While this was just a casual lunch, the salad was barely green. Mostly white, yellow and brown. They had a special salad with leafy greens that looked so much better. I’d suggest steering away from any romaine type salads there.
Service was great and they took care of my salad. I appreciate that but hope they change up the salad options.
BTW, salmon added to salad was 👍
I enjoyed one of the best meals ever the other day at Kincaid's in St. Paul. The restaurant features an incredible menu. Lately, I've been sick of eating in and to be honest, eating out just offers the same sad menu. At Kincaid's, it took me about 10 minutes to narrow my choice for lunch. I had the lunch salad/sandwich combo and it was incredible. It came with a lovely dish of hand-cut fries. The Maytag blue cheese salad was fabulous, as was my turkey club sandwich. My husband ordered the same salad but with the open faced crab sandwich - it looked awesome. I ate every morsel on my plate!
When we sat down, I mentioned to my server, Renee O., that I wanted to use some birthday rewards points I had on my RU card. When Renee cleared our table, I notice she put two spoons down. Hmmm...turns out, she brought me a fabulous creme brulee with a delightful mound of whipped cream and diced strawberries. Yep, it was heavenly. Renee was one of THE best servers I've had in several years. She was personable but not hovering.
So would I recommend Kincaid's? Oh yeah! In fact, I can't wait to go back again. Between the lovely atmosphere, great menu, delicious food and incredible server, it will be hard to find another dining experience that matches my lovely lunch at Kincaid's. Five stars-plus.
One of my favorite dinning establishments! Service always top notch; quality and presentation of food most enjoyable. Will be back soon.
Everything was good, especially the service!
Under staffed dining room. $38.00 halibut was over priced and over cooked, dirty dishes remained on the table until I asked to have them removed. I will not return.
Had an awesome server.... STEFAN. great job.
Anniversary. My only comment is that my sirloin with demiglaze was served only slightly warm. Could have been hotter but very tasty.
Great Food - Super Service - A great evening with fine a selection of food, drinks, wine, desert and coffee.
Always a favorite place to celebrate! Having friends join in was icing on the cake.
We had a lovely time celebrating our end of tax season lunch. Can't wait to do it again sometime! Thanks! Julie Maidment - Wellington Management, Inc.
Steak way too salty. Fish was not good. Salad and soup fine.
Very very sad that crab cakes disappeared from the menu. It is a family favorite that we get every time we come to Kincaid’s. Bring it back!!!
Four of us dined here on Tuesday, 6/11. I had just told a coworker that day we had never been disappointed at Kincaid's. Unfortunately, I spoke too soon. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation and were promptly seated. Our server arrived quickly and was professional. He asked if we were attending the concert. Two of us were and we started we'd like to be on our way by 7pm...no problem. Our salads were fresh and delicious. Three of us ordered the Meatloaf Wellington. When they arrived, all 3 were clearly overdone. Charred even. While the meatloaf on the inside was still delicious, they had ruined the pastry shell. The inside shell was wet and mushy. Also, our server did not check in quickly and did not ask about our second round of wine/drinks until we were half done with the entrees. Then, he came back and apologized for the delay, but the bar was backed up so our 2nd round would be a few more minutes. So, becuase of the server's inattentiveness and the bar being backed up, our 2nd round arrived just before we were nearly done eating! It's inexcusable for the bar to be backed up. You know there's a sold out concert down the block, staff appropriately. Then, at 6:51 the server returns to ask if were interested in after dinner drinks or dessert. We aren't going to order those when 1/2 our party needs to leave in 9 minutes. For a final tab of $225.00 (not including tip) I expect Wellington that isn't burnt and timely beverage service.
We were seated quickly at a very comfortable table. The server was attentive and the food was fantastic!
Was there to celebrate my birthday. Food & cocktails were great. It’s a little expensive. But because it was my birthday I got my dessert for free & got $20 off the bill for my RU Rewards. That helped. Prior to that the bill came to about $100. And neither of us ordered an entree.
The evening was a pleasure with excellent food and service. The only fly in the ointment was a minor annoyance when the parking validation stopped at 2 hours, so we have to pay $4 for 11 minutes overtime. That will teach us not to linger next time!
As always, we had excellent meals and attentive service.
First time there and was super impressed. Everyone got something different and it was all delicious. Will be back soon for sure.
Kincaids is our Go To place for special occasions. If you want to make your experience special, call and ask - they're happy to help your meal and occasion extra special. The food will roll your eyes back into your head. Just wonderful.
Go...eat, drink and enjoy.
Food was excellent and they were very accommodating for my wife’s dietary restrictions
While I was disappointed with the prime rib, the rest of the entrees were great and the server was spectacular.
